The FBI Mysteriously Close New Mexico Observatory

Probably something ordinary like the computers were hacked and the hackers were able to access personal records from a much larger data center and the identities of 5 million government employees were stolen again.

Nothing... government just showed up, evacuated everyone... several solar observation internet streams were blacked out... the only official word is that its due to a security issue....

Probably the same people who two years ago closed Walmarts across the south, fenced them off, and turned them into FEMA camps.

I'm not sure the reports of several solar observation streams being blacked out are all that credible. Whilst there is detail about the New Mexico shutdown, I can't find any info for the other alleged shutdowns other than the same list of the six sites supposedly out of commission that are all probably sprouting from the same original source, and the existence of three of the six supposed facilities looks dubious at best.

Being a Sydneysider, I was intrigued about the alleged closure of the Sydney Observatory so did a bit of a search and found that, despite it's impressive sounding name, the Axis 232D Network Dome Camera is actually a security camera, not a solar observation camera https://www.axis.com/en-au/products/axis-232dp. There's also the little matter of there being a reason most Solar Observatory facilities are on mountains in the middle of nowhere - city lights, pollution etc make urban based space observation impractical, and there are no locations in Sydney that would be unaffected.

The JAT Observatory in Pennsylvania appears to have permanently closed some time ago, and a search for the BRT Telescope in Tenerife reveals nothing other than links to articles about the alleged closures. Whilst the other observatories listed do actually exist, and one of the Mauna Key feeds is showing as unavailable (which may be due to the fact that several Mauna Key telescopes are being progressively shut down as a government requirement for consent to construction of a new telescope), they all have some feeds working or observation photographs that post date the alleged shutdowns on their webpages.
 
The Japanese observatory in Mitaka was open yesterday, but not taking video or photos of the sun - The fact that it was pouring with rain may have had something to do with that, though...

Special Effects software has become so sophisticated these days,it is possible for one with moderate skills to create believable effects. So one has to look at "unexplained" footage with a healthy dose of skepticism.
