The NFL is becoming dead to me. And it doesn't even bother me.

I usually listen to Moving the Chains on Sirius XM NFL Radio on the way home from work, mostly out of habit. Believe me, we aren't the only ones feeling this way. I'm hearing this a lot from callers on that show who are not Steeler fans.

My suggestion would be to allow all the blocking and tackling you want, except head hits, and initiate a 300 lb. weight limit.

So McCullers is not allowed in the NFL? Why not make 165lbs the weight limit and 5'9" the height limit. That should take out lots of injuries and eliminate the use of performance enhancing drugs.

I'm for ALL hitting. Make them wear better equipment or go take up tennis if the game is too rough.

This is a valid point in my estimation, they have better helmets already but they don't be cool lookin'. They have pads and protection available but that might slow them down too much and the OL has non- metal knee braces available but they feel awkward. If you really wanted to protect the players, the equipment would be a good place to start.

I can't say I don't care at all but it's less and less. Neither Polamalu or Mitchell was fined by the league last week so that means both those plays they made were legal. So the refs very likely changed the outcome of the game as it would have been 13-7 (with a pretty stoked defense) instead of 17-7 (with a dejected defense). The college game is so much better right now. A little incidental contact to a helmet does not draw a flag like the NFL. I hope the refs don't make the game tonight unwatchable!

The NFL should make it mandatory to wear the gear vs making the game a bunch of arm tackling can't him em high ,can't hit em low garbage. I'm fairly certain they make helmets that cut down on concussions by at least 50%. They should be investing in the advancement and development of high impact protection technologies. It's a win win for everyone minus the fantasy football nerds.
