The Official Please Don't Draft Shedeur Sanders Thread

I said he looked foolish showing up with a giant $ symbol necklace on and then another guy in his camp with giant hat with a big dollar sign on it. What exactly does the big $ symbol mean??? Big money??? Well he and his camp look foolish, not sure why that's a bad thing to say. Alot are celebrating that the Steelers didn't draft him, are we not allowed to not want a player drafted here? I didn't see anyone saying I hope this kid has horrible career, or I hope he's a bust, or I hope he never plays in the NFL.
Stop. Dart had on plenty of bling too. No complaints about him? The only "normal" cut was the big OL in the evergreen suit and it still was a bit flashy for his size...

Your hating for no reason add nothing he does affects your way of life or living.

It's only bad if he balls out as a Brown. It could also be a blessing because drafting a QB at 33 likely means they don't go QB next year when it's expected the Steelers will want to. We saw how this year worked out, one less team picking QB helps clear the path, give the Steelers less competition if they are drafting QB in rd. 1.
My point is every QB in the AFCN is light years in front of Rudy.

I love Rudy for what he is - an above average backup.

Every other QB, in this draft and next year's (barring Manning stays in school) has accuracy issues or something else.

Hey, the FO didn't select him. I'm no longer interested in the topic...

LOL, ok like you've never complained about a player here on or off the field??? **** we might was well just shut this board down, none of it effects your way of life or living.

Stop. you're really comparing the necklace Dart had on compared to what Sanders had on?

Can you pls help me out with the "bling"?
I thought the kid looked odd wearing some windbreaker and goofy glasses in the house....

Don’t crucify me and I’m not saying this young man is the long term answer..
But I like the way he plays the position.. reminds me of mayfield during his first few seasons..
But we might be able to get Will Levis for next to nothing…
Roll with Titans last years QBs for a season… yeah, I know sounds absurd, but do you really what to waste a draft pick this year on what is still available? Not me!
Levis could find his grove.. he has the physical talent , especially in his right arm..

25 years young..6’5 230
Strong as an ox, with a big arm, and has decent legs to boot!

I get where you're coming from. IMO a team either has their franchise QB or they do not. The Steelers don't. To me it doesn't matter if that non-franchise guy is Mason, a year or two of Rodgers, or a mid-late round pick this year. If the Steelers believe that Dart, Sanders, or someone else is that guy, then take him, but I would not spend a first round pick on him if after scouting and meeting with him I'm not prepared to give him the keys. Not a fan of drafting a QB in the first who is next on my QB list just because we need one. I'm good to bridge with Mason until I find my guy - and hope I'm right.

I'd like to see them grab a day 3 QB project and a vet/mentor FA QB who can backup Rudy and show the new kid the ropes.

I want this thread stickied. Because it's going to be a real embarrassment if the Browns get him today and we have to have him twice.

The Steelers offense already has problems scoring points. Picking a mediocre QB late in the draft won't help.

Like I said all week, and last night, I'm not seeing how anyone is comparing next year's QB class better??? Archie will be a fool to enter the draft after only one full year at QB1 in college...
Oopsie

Care to revise your stance?

The whole NFL is wrong about him I guess…lol

There's obviously an issue somewhere, he's dropped to the 4th round at least and there's been 5 QBs picked ahead of him.

I didn't know much about him as I don't follow college football closely. But, as I read up on him, He, along with his father made some bad decisions. I don't think teams want the headache of this chit show.

The lesson in this is one that keeps getting taught, but players don't learn until it happens to them. When you are ultra talented, teams will tolerate you. Deion was ultra talented. And tolerated.

I actually feel bad for the kid. His head has been filled with glory. He has been told by one of the greatest to play the game how great he is. If in the same situation, any one of us would be full of ourselves, too.

Maybe he was blacklisted by Rooney himself?, I know I wouldn't want to sign a guy that thinks he is above the franchise and hasnt prove anything yet in the NFL. Of course this is pure speculation based on nothing but rumors of Sanders calling himself a franchise savior.

Unless a team in more of a need for a QB trades up, Sanders could still be on the board when the Steelers pick in the 4th based on who picks ahead of them.

I think the question teams have at this point is if Sanders and his dad can deal with playing at least one season at third string.

Assuming Rodgers is basically a Steeler at this point, Sanders will be third behind Mason. If his Ego can handle it, and he's now extra motivated after the humiliating draft slide, I'd be fine with Sanders at this point im the draft with not as much risk.

I assume others picking ahead of the team are probably thinking the same thing.

At one point, Sanders was the No. 1 QB in the draft. He fell to the 4th now. Personally, i'd take a flyer on him even if we trade up in the 4th to get him with maybe a 5th from next year. He's worth a shot in the 4th even with his baggage. I'd be making calls this morning to make it happen. It's a low risk, high reward move at this point in the draft.

The rumors of him being terrible in interviews must be true.

Crazy that he's fallen to day 3.

If he's available for our next pick, we have to take him...right?

If he had a stronger arm, he might have gone first overall.

I don't feel the disdain for the kid that many seem to, but it's hard to take a QB in the first round with an average arm and who was rarely asked asked to make NFL reads in college.

At least Kenny Pickett played in a pro-style offense at Pitt.

And then he went to Pittsburgh where he did NOT play in a pro-style offense.

Let’s begin the who’s better
McCord or Sanders convo 🤣

Maybe later in the day the
Brady Cook or Sanders convo🤣🤣🤣

Someone will likely grab him in the 4th.
I’d expect his free fall to end early (on day 3-wow)

That’s gotta bruise that ego

Is he higher on our board than Ewers, Howard and McCord?

May not be an issue at all as the longer they pass on QBs the more it makes me think Rodgers will be a closer to the season addition.

It seems like Shedeur might have

"AAAARRRRRGGGGOOOOOOOOS!"

in his future.

My boys are thinking Elgersma might get picked before him, lol.

(This will make more sense for Paul G, Steelman, Sask, Phinnster, etc.....maybe DIC is so far north he knows what this means)

He has probably been humbled to some extent and he and his dad will have huge boulders on their shoulders. I'd seriously look to get him in the 4th even if it means trading a 2026 mid to late round pick to do it. As I said before, at this point in the draft, it is a very low risk for a potentially very high reward. He is the most accurate QB in this class and has the arm talent and touch to make all the throws. And, he's mobile enough to extend plays and run when needed.

Kiper and other pundits (but especially Kiper) would label the Steelers getting Sanders in the 4th as the pick (and the steal) of this draft. In a few years, we'd find out for sure but he can't be labeled a bust if we took a flyer on him in the 4th. Heck, they traded up for Loudermilk or some other D scrub a couple years ago so why not do it on a QB.

Wow. Arguments about hand size. And now Arguments about necklace size. Is this the f#cked up housewives of h#llywood or something?

I get the hate on Sanders. I think he is a solid quarterback and has the potential to be a good quarterback. I do think he was very overhyped. I would’ve been ok with him at 21 or 83. Heck now that he’s falling, getting him in the 4th is even better. But I would rather have Howard in the 4th. He has solid tangibles but doesn’t have any wow factor. The other negative is the circus that surrounds him. Howard doesn’t come with that circus.
