The vice president and Navy secretary now have new desks built out of materials from some of the most storied ships in U.S. history.

Navy Seabees built a desk for Vice President Kamala Harris made from wood, copper and nails taken off the USS Constitution, one of the country's first frigates. The Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship still afloat.

The desk, which was delivered to Harris in February, features carvings of an eagle and stars reminiscent of the Constitution's stern decorations, said Paul Taylor, a spokesman for Naval History and Heritage Command, which oversaw the project.

Thank God most of America sees this administration for what it is. Highly competent and getting the job done. That's because 'most' Americans aren't petty, don't have chapped hides from a resounding defeat at the polls and have moved on from the incompetent, insurrectionist former guy.

It's time to stop being petty. Swallow your pride, admit you were wrong, move on and get on with your lives. This is just the beginning of yet another instance where the Democrats swoop in to save the country previously run into the ground by the GOP.

Thank God Joe Biden & Kamala Harris came along in the nick of time to put MAGA out to pasture. For that, we can all be grateful.

Tibs, this is Trump's economy. Biden did nothing but erase 80k jobs his first day in office.
But don't worry, they are all learning to code instead.
 
Truth be told, Biden was far from my ideal Dem candidate early on in the presidential race.

From everything I've seen so far, he's 1,000x better than what I expected. Seems to be the perfect man for this moment. He has far surpassed my expectations, and has diligently led the nation back from the edge of despair. Be it dealing with Covid, the ensuing economic fallout, the complete void of leadership and competence in the WH, to the rising levels of hate and intolerance that came with MAGA.

Biden has been cool, calm and determined, focused on the job. No gloating, no golfing, no stream of endless lies, no wild boasts of his accomplishments. Just an honest, steadfast leader the country needs right now.

You can cry in your beers all you want. Just flapping in the wind, opposing Biden & the Dems cause you feel obligated doing so.

If he stays on course, good things will come, particularly to middle-class America. The irony of it all, is that it may very well be Joe Biden who succeeds in making America great again. In real terms, not just in an unmoored fantasy world like we saw with the former guy.

And in a parallel universe, the GOP can't seem to shake the MAGA bad juju and keeps falling further off the map. Before you know it, the Republican party will be as irrelevant as the former guy himself. Deservedly so.

A bipartisan majority of 75% of Americans supported the American Rescue Plan. ZERO Republicans voted for it. Now, 2/3 of Americans support a major infrastructure plan. ZERO Republicans signaled support for it. Pretty sure it's not the Democrats who can't manage bipartisanship.

I do not like the way the repub party is going. Ted Cruz is turning into a giant *** then you have people like gaetz, majorie etc etc who are loud voices and highly unlikable. Any more moderate republicans get drowned out or beat down. The hardcore trump base is like 25% and it's going to shrink. Repubs are not going to win going down that path. Once Biden's rein is over we are going to get stuck with someone much more liberal and it won't be pretty.

Couple of things here. There is no reign. Kings and Queens reign. Presidents serve. They are not our rulers or bettors.

Ron Desantis is going to be the Republican nominee in 2024. Write it down. Remember it.

The hardcore trump base isn't going anywhere. They are as rabid today as they were in 2017. If Democrats stay on this path, it is going to grow.

Moderate Republicans are Democrats. Think Mitt Romney. And moderate republicans are the problem. We filled congress with those ******** because they swore up an down they would do certain things. Then once elected, they got bent over by the minority party repeatedly. Over and over and over, unwilling to fight for the things they supposedly believed in. That's one reason how we got a guy like Trump, because the people before him did nothing. Nothing but empty promises.

I'll give the Democrats one thing, they do what they say they are going to do. They are not ashamed of what they are or what they stand for. Unlike so-called moderate republicans. Moderate republicans have done nothing for America other than get Democrats elected.

At the moment, Biden is detaining 18,000 minors. 18 Big Gs worth of kids. The most Trump ever managed at a time was 2,600. That folks is a 592% increase in KIDS IN CAGES.
