The Official Thread Dedicated to "Biden Destroying Us"

And the cyber attacks that will only increase, and we're less than 5 months into this administration, good times.

The list is getting too long to even bullet point them really. Scary stuff.

Our government has failed us. Plain and simple. Not only the Democrats that do this ****, but every Republican that sits in silence and allows it to happen. The Republican Party is just about dead to me. Limp waisted ******* aren't any better than the party they supposedly oppose.

The Republican Party needs a ******* leader. Desperately.

Absolutely. Someone with a spine that holds practical truth and care of it's citizens over power and money.

Unfortunately with politicians, that's a very tall task.

just another day of Biden administration shutting down more jobs and increasing prices on everything.

I know things are in motion to only make everything get worse.
Maybe it is more obvious out here.

I can't remember who it was off the top of my head, but some Commiefornia Congressman mentioned yesterday how vile and corrupt it is at the state capitol. And he said he knew going in it was going to be bad, and he was still shocked.

I'm still waiting for one Lefty to "rationally" explain any of this anti-logic to me.

We were at or damn near super close to energy independence.

Democrats come into power, cancel the Keystone Pipeline, that would also supply jobs. They cancel fracking. They suspend drilling leases on Government land and in the arctic.

Lefties: Why? For what reason?

The only argument I've ever heard was environmental. And those are at best weak arguments. Let's just say, hypothetically, every green-energy warrior was right about all of the dastardly environmental issues caused by "finding oil." By banning fracking, pipelines, drilling here at home, we are protecting our environment and the species within. But we will still need oil. So we will procure it from other nations. Who...have...to...drill...frack...ship/transport oil. Endangering THEIR environments....

So our environment must be protected but to hell with theirs??? The argument is utter nonsense. We don't care if Canada destroys their wildlife, but protect ours....brilliant.

These environmental arguments are bogus relative to our other activities. I don't contend finding/producing/shipping oil isn't harmful. Sure there are some harms, but they are nowhere near what the AltLeft says they are. Take for instance pipelines. See the photo below.

iu

A fixed pipeline, that keeps oil INSIDE, kills what? Nothing. Sure, building the thoroughfare for it may destroy some very limited natural habitats, but it is far less environment-damaging than putting in new power lines where trees must be felled, and the surrounding pathways for the power lines must be cleared. What's far more damaging to the environment is say road construction. Or new home or commercial development. Putting a pipeline in that eats up 20-30 yards of a "path"...yeah, not so much. Deer and elk will go under, or easily jump over. Rabbits won't care. The spotted Owl isn't affected.

What happens when we force ourselves to rely on other nations for oil? For one thing, we increase the dependence on ocean shipping for oil. Those massive shipping freighters leak millions of gallons of oil into the ocean every single year. It's stunning how much it is. Then there are the occasional Exxon Valdez type incidents we have to deal with. This is just one example.

A pipeline doesn't just "burst." It's not like a highway that takes tremendous wear and tear daily. They will be properly maintained, but need little work compared to roads and highways.

Oil pipelines are sensible. Xiden is fine with the Russia-Germany pipeline, but not ours.

The argument for not drilling in the arctic seems to be around climate change. What??? How?? And again, if we are no longer doing the drilling in the arctic, another nation will be tasked with supplying us with oil. If the argument is about climate change, we are just shifting the producer from the USA to another nation...who will drill...and harm the environment.

Dunleavy is right, it's nonsense. All of it.

But it sure does harm the USA....which always seems to be their goal.

What TSF and SW write is absolutely true. One of my clients was a subcontractor at a huge refinery in Southern California (Torrance), and I learned a little about oil pipelines, transportation of oil, storage and refining.

Oil pipelines are the cleanest means of transporting oil from one point to another and IT. IS. NOT. CLOSE. The oil pipelines have very sensitive pressure gauges that tell operators if there is a miniscule drop in pressure, i.e., a leak. The company fixes the leak almost immediately. The companies maintain, monitor and repair the pipelines religiously since any leak means they owe money for pollution, owe to the Fed for OSHA violations and environmental violations, have to shut down the pipeline for repairs and investigation. The companies have massive incentives to keep the pipelines operating, safe, clean and efficient.

Meanwhile, tankers dump huge amounts of oil into the oceans, tanker trucks have to burn fuel even to deliver the oil and suffer occasional accidents and spills and massive fires that close roads for months (remember this one? https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tanker-fire-causes-ca-highway-collapse/ Or how about this one? https://www.firehouse.com/home/news/10535588/california-tanker-fire-forces-freeway-demolition Or this one? https://www.scpr.org/news/2013/07/13/38164/fire-at-the-i-5-2-interchange-backs-up-traffic-sen/).

Oil, gasoline, diesel and natural gas are inherently dangerous. Shipping the product via pipelines moves tens of millions of gallons per day and billions of cubic feet of natural gas safely and efficiently. And as to "ending" petroleum exploration and processing ... really? Then what are you going to use to hold the battery for your electric car? What are you going to use for the seatbelts, the dashboard, the floor liners, the headlights, the lubricant for your engine, the tires, the headliner, the fan belts, and on and on?

That's just the stuff for their electric cars. It does not include, oh, I don't know, toothbrushes, disposable diapers, deodorants, dishwashers, shoe polish, soap, coffee makers, televisions, computers, computer chips, and on and on. Once again, the problem is that liberals are not just stupid; like Decaf and Flog, they are almost universally convinced of things that are just not true.

Democrats hate the American worker in favor of globalism. Plain. Simple. Proven by their actions. No amount of media whitewash can justify what they've done over the years, and in the past few months.

Then there is this. We have seen this coming for years. Now the attack is on against the American suburbs.

Make no mistake, Dems intend to destroy America as we know it.

Yep...that has a distinct odor to it.

HUD revokes Obama-era rule designed to diversify the suburbs....

Can someone tell me "why" we need a "rule" to diversify the suburbs? This country is not so racist that they would turn a blind eye to a "whites only" HOA rule.

Again, the nuclear families live mostly in suburbs. We can't have those loving parents raising good children with morals and work ethic!

Excellent news!

BREAKING: US economy added a staggering 559,000 jobs in the month of May and unemployment fell to 5.8% as the Biden administrations robust response to COVID & historic vaccine rollout continues to strengthen Americas overall recovery!

The only question is, why do pouting, sour-grapes MAGA's hate America so much? Your loyalty to former guy is that strong, that you stick your heads in the sand & put party over country? Weak ****, fellas, real weak ****.

Seems you all decided you're gonna spend these four years sucking your thumbs and crying yourselves to sleep, cause we have a Democratic President in the WH.

You do you, if that's your cup of tea. Have a fantastic weekend everyone! ☀️:)

right. so somehow they doubled the jobs report in just April? DOUBLED?
you seriously believe that, comrade Tibs?

in other words, you're now stating that there is quite literally zero reason for anyone to be bumming for change on street corners, that there are jobs available for people to get back to work and they can stop sucking off the gubmint teet, that the economy is raring so hard that we can effectively end all the foreclosure and bankruptcy moratoriums that are currently in place, that places of employment can stop giving people $50 for interviewing ...

no, what those numbers mean, Tibsy, is this:

Household Survey Data
In May, the unemployment rate declined by 0.3 percentage point to 5.8 percent, and the number of unemployed persons fell by 496,000 to 9.3 million. These measures are down considerably from their recent highs in April 2020 but remain well above their levels prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic (3.5 percent and 5.7 million, respectively, in February 2020). (See table A-1. See the box note Chart 1. Unemployment rate, seasonally adjusted, May 2019 – May 2021Percent125,000130,000135,000140,000145,000150,000155,000160,000May-19Aug-19Nov-19Feb-20May-20Aug-20Nov-20Feb-21May-21ThousandsChart 2. -2-on page 5 for more information about how the household survey and its measures were affected by the coronavirus pandemic.)

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates declined in May for teenagers (9.6 percent), Whites (5.1 percent), and Hispanics (7.3 percent). The jobless rates for adult men (5.9 percent), adult women (5.4 percent), Blacks (9.1 percent), and Asians (5.5 percent) showed little change in May. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)

Among the unemployed, the number of persons on temporary layoff declined by 291,000 to 1.8 million in May. This measure is down considerably from the recent high of 18.0 million in April 2020 but is 1.1 million higher than in February 2020. The number of permanent job losers decreased by 295,000 to 3.2 million in May but is 1.9 million higher than in February 2020. (See table A-11.)

In May, the number of persons jobless less than 5 weeks declined by 391,000 to 2.0 million. The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks or more) declined by 431,000 to 3.8 million in May but is 2.6 million higher than in February 2020. These long-term unemployed accounted for 40.9 percent of the total unemployed in May. (See table A-12.)

The labor force participation rate was little changed at 61.6 percent in May and has remained within a narrow range of 61.4 percent to 61.7 percent since June 2020. The participation rate is 1.7 percentage points lower than in February 2020. The employment-population ratio, at 58.0 percent, was also little changed in May but is up by 0.6 percentage point since December 2020. However, this measure is 3.1 percentage points below its February 2020 level. (See table A-1.)

The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons was essentially unchanged at 5.3 million in May but is 873,000 higher than in February 2020. These individuals, who would have preferred full-time employment, were working part time because their hours had been reduced or they were unable to find full-time jobs. (See table A-8.)In May, the number of persons not in the labor force who currently want a job was essentially unchanged over the month at 6.6 million but is up by 1.6 million since February 2020. These individuals were not counted as unemployed because they were not actively looking for work during the last 4 weeks or were unavailable to take a job. (See table A-1.)

Among those not in the labor force who currently want a job, the number of persons marginally attached to the labor force, at 2.0 million, changed little in May but is up by 518,000 since February 2020. These individuals wanted and were available for work and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months but had not looked for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey. The number of discouraged workers, a subset of the marginally attached who believed that no jobs were available for them, was 600,000 in May, little changed from the previous month but 199,000 higher than in February 2020.

Bingo. This "jobs" report is utter spin. The prior month, when only 275K or so jobs were added, it was a DISASTER because there were something like 7-8Million job openings.

This fluff piece that @Tibs shared is pure, utter, bullshit spin. Go look at the historical jobs numbers, growth, losses:

This from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

1622815832617.png

March 2020: Lost 1.68Million jobs
April 2020: Lost 20.68Million jobs
May 2020: Gained 2.83Million
June 2020: Gained 4.85Million
July 2020: Gained 1.73Million
August 2020: Gained 1.58Million
September 2020: Gained 716K
October 2020: Gained 680K
November 2020: Gained 264K
December 2020: Lost 306K
January 2021: Gained 233K
February 2021: Gained 536K
March 2021: Gained 770K
April 2021: Gained 266K
May 2021: Gained 559K

Perspective folks.

I have to pay mine....
