DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —President Donald Trump will give the command for drivers to start their engines before the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

Daytona International Speedway officials named Trump the grand marshal for NASCAR's season opener.

That means he will deliver the most famous words in auto racing. “Gentleman, start your engines,” has been a staple of races around the world for decades.

Trump is the first president to be given an honorary role in pre-race ceremonies.

I honestly feel that it is my Constitutional duty to vote Trump into office another 4 years.......in order to help rescue the Democratic Party. Hear me out. Maybe, juuuuust maybe, another 4 years of Trump and the threat of another Republican winning after Trump will be enough for Democrats to cast out the scourge of far left extremists and Socialists from their party and go back to something resembling a party that makes sense to the American people. At this point, Trump winning again is necessary to keep the Democratic Party from destroying itself completely. They have to learn to turn their collective back on the lunatic fringe and in order for them to do that, they need more humiliation at the poles. Hopefully losing another election to Trump in a landslide and losing the House of Representatives will be enough to sink it in through their thick skulls.
