I just said.................see post # 68

All credit to you Spike. Here's your gold star.

Gold-Star.jpg

I don't have time to camp on SN all day. I typically pop in and pop out, at times getting 5-10 minutes to browse the forums. I don't go back and re-read everything posted in a thread so as not to step on people's little toes.

I started this thread so everyone could continue to post about Trump's successes and appreciate you and anyone else doing so. This should be the longest thread in SN Politics & Government history when we are done.

Trump Fills 10 More Judicial Seats Mitch McConnell Stole From Obama

President Trump announced ten federal judicial nominees today. All of them will sail through the Senate. All of them will fill seats stolen from President Obama. There are over 120 vacancies in the federal judiciary, and Obama had nominated people to fill 81 of them.

But by the end of his two terms, 59 of those nominees were still in limbo, because Mitch McConnell’s Senate confirmed only 22.

This week, ten new nominees were announced to take their seats—as promised, mostly conservative firebrands picked by the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society—with many more sure to come. The Republicans’ strategy of unprecedented obstructionism has, once again, paid off in spades. If you think Judge Merrick Garland’s Supreme Court seat was stolen, well, here’s 59 more of them.

If such a high percentage of the 9th circuit rulings are overturned as being unconstitutional, why the hell aren't the judges impeached? Aren't they there to uphold the law and abide by the constitution? If they aren't doing their job, impeach them.

I've never understood this either. One would think there would be some form of review for these judges. "OK you passed the bar long ago, but now, 80% of your rulings are overturned. We must now question if you still remember the law."

Doctors have to re-pass exams. I know CPAs have to. Do Lawyers?

Steeltime, help us out here. Even if lawyers retake exams and recertify, can't they be held accountable for ruling poorly over and over and over?

Can we talk about Trump's Legacy now?

Younger Judicial Nominees Give Trump Chance for Legacy in Courts

President Donald Trump will begin to leave his mark on the lower courts of the federal judiciary with 10 nominees named Monday, many of them judges still in their 40s.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday, the White House formally announced Trump’s nomination of five judges to federal appellate courts and another five judges to lower federal courts.

“They all appear to be bright, young, capable conservatives who promise to be outstanding judges; some are already judges,” John Malcolm, a legal scholar who oversees the Institute for Constitutional Government at The Heritage Foundation

Most Supreme Court justices previously served as appeals court judges. Also, the high court can take only a limited number of cases. So, circuit court nominees are highly important.

Libs should not fret. In 7 1/2 more years, they will have a chance to elect someone else.

Or, they might be killed off to the point of being just a small, idiotic group of protesters. Pretty much what they already are now.

President Trump to sign executive order establishing commission on 'election integrity'

President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order today establishing a commission to review alleged voter fraud and voter suppression in the American election system, multiple senior administration officials tell ABC News.

The officials say Vice President Mike Pence and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach will be announced as Chair and Vice Chair of the ‘Presidential Commission on Election Integrity’ in a press release today. It's not clear whether the White House will allow coverage of the order signing.

The commission, which will include Republicans and Democrats, will be tasked with studying "vulnerabilities" in U.S. voting systems and potential effects on "improper voting, fraudulent voter registrations and fraudulent voting," according to one official with knowledge of the announcement.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. government had a $182 billion budget surplus in April, confounding market expectations for a deficit, according to Treasury Department data released on Wednesday.

The budget surplus was $106 billion in April 2016, according to Treasury's monthly budget statement.

The fiscal 2017 year-to-date deficit was $344 billion compared with $353 billion in the same period of fiscal 2016.

Trump Picks Voter ID Advocate for Election Fraud Panel

President Trump on Thursday named Kris W. Kobach, the Kansas secretary of state who has pressed for aggressive measures to crack down on undocumented immigrants, to a commission investigating vote fraud, following through on his unsubstantiated claim that millions of “illegals” voted for his Democratic rival and robbed him of victory in the national popular vote.

Mr. Kobach, who has championed the strictest voter identification laws in the country, will be the vice chairman of the commission, which will be led by Vice President Mike Pence and is expected to include about a dozen others, including state officials from both political parties, said Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the deputy White House press secretary.

Kris Kobach is a slimy piece of ****. Yeah, he advocates voter ID, but he is as corrupt and slimy as they come.

President Trump and first lady Melania Trump hosted military families at the White House on Friday to celebrate Mother’s Day.

“We want to thank you. Believe me, we want to thank you. To all of the military families here today, thank you for your daily service to your families, and equally as important, to our great, great nation. And we have a great nation, and it’s getting stronger every day,” he said.

He delivered his remarks to “an excited group of military mothers and spouses” before introducing his wife, according to a White House press pool report.

Trump mentioned, according to the report, proposed increases in defense spending, to a big round of applause.

“We were in the depleted side, to put it mildly. We won’t be anymore,” he said according to the report. “You have my complete and total support. This government stands behind you.”

Trump especially thanked the spouses of the military aides who work at the White House.

“I especially want to thank the spouses of the military aides and I’m dealing with them all the time and they’re incredible, incredible people, right? Who support me every hour of the day,” he said.

Move ...countermove, the Libs will not except any moves against illegals voting,...period

Rutgers University Professor Lorraine Minnite emailed UC Irvine Law School Chancellor Rick Hasen's email listserv in an effort to enroll members to "resist" Trump's commission
If the President does indeed create a commission to study voter fraud and voter suppression in the American election system to be headed by the Vice Preisdent [sic] and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, I'm calling on scholars of election administration to resist participation of any kind in such an effort," Minnite wrote. "We should expect a Pence-Kobach Commission to find ‘evidence' of rampant voter fraud across the U.S., and to recommend proposals to amend the Voting Rights Act and the National Voter Registration Act to require proof-of-citizenships to register and a national voter ID requirement, among other changes that will be damaging to voting rights and therefore, damaging to democracy."

Trump to light White House blue to honor police

The president signed a proclamation Monday declaring the day "Peace Officer Memorial Day" and the upcoming week "Police Week." At the signing ceremony, Trump said that he would also request that American flags fly at half-mast to memorialize fallen officers, according to a pool report.

"During Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week, we honor the men and women of law enforcement who have been killed or disabled in the course of serving our communities. Police officers are the thin blue line whose sacrifices protect and serve us every day, and we pledge to support them as they risk their lives to safeguard ours," Trump said in the text of the proclamation.

But . . . but . . . Trump isn’t a “real” conservative

Don't get too excited Spike. The bloom on a rose does not last forever.

Conservative author Ann Coulter was one of the most vocal supporters of Donald Trump during the presidential campaign. Coulter described herself as a single-issue voter during the election and was drawn to Trump due to his “Mexican rapist speech” and him calling for a border wall to be built.

In an interview Sunday with The Daily Caller, Coulter let it be known she still has hope in the Trump presidency, but is ready to jump ship.

I hate to say it, but I agree with every line in my friend Frank Bruni’s op-ed in The New York Times today. Where is the great negotiation? Where is the bull in the china shop we wanted? That budget the Republicans pushed through was like a practical joke… Did we win anything? And this is the great negotiator?

You said during the election and in columns that if there is no wall it’s the end of America.

I do, of course, blame Congress most of all. They are swine. They only care about their own careers. Who knows how much of it is corruption and how much of it is pure stupidity? People should start sending Paul Ryan bricks to indicate how much we want the wall.

They are the opposition party to Donald Trump. This is really something we’ve never seen before. The president stands alone, it’s his own political party, he’s Gary Cooper. All we have is millions of Americans behind him, but he doesn’t have anybody in Washington behind him.

The one thing he will get massive resistance from every source in Washington including his “own party” is immigration.

What does your friend Matt Drudge think of all of this? Recently on Michael Savage’s radio show he seemed nervous about the Trump administration.

I’ll let him speak for himself, but I think all of the Trump true believers are petrified.

I get frustrated too but still I anticipate the inevitable crackdown on the past practices and corruption in Govt

Are you guys tired of all the winning yet? This presidency has reached historic proportions, arguably the most chaotic, dangerous, out-of-kilter mess we've ever had in the White House. Trump and his ill-fated team are literally teetering out of control. You guys wanted this, you will have to own it, at least for a while. Public apologies will be accepted here on the board, as the more sane of the you - there's gotta be a few - will start comprehending how grave the situation is. I expect Trump - and key members of his cabinet - to resign in disgrace as the Robert Mueller-led investigation closes in. A fitting end to the most infamous political tragicomedy of our lifetimes.

BWAhahahahaha - it only gets better

Sheriff David Clarke accepts job in Department of Homeland Security.

Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. will leave the office next month to accept a federal appointment as an Assistant Secretary in the Department of Homeland Security.

He will work in the department's Office of Partnership and Engagement as a liaison with state, local and tribal law enforcement and governments.

"I'm looking forward to joining that team," Clarke said Thursday afternoon on the Vicki McKenna talk show on 1130 WISN Radio.

Not at all. Trump has been doing a very good job of rolling back Federal regulations and control over stuff that they have no business controlling. This is why the Deep State is working so hard to get rid of him.

If this is what winning looks like, I'd hate to see losing. I didn't think Trump would be a good President, but I never
could have imagined he'd be this bad. Only thing that can save him at this point would be to clear out the amateurs
that surround him, and hire some real professionals. The problem with trying that is, he has scared off the competent
from working for him.

Sane and rational America weighs in...THIS is Winning.

Immigration arrests up 38% nationwide under Trump

In the 100 days since President Trump signed an executive order to enhance immigration enforcement, the arrests of undocumented immigrants is up 38% from the same time period in 2016, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement data released Wednesday.

ICE Acting Director Thomas Homan said his agency is focusing on undocumented immigrants with criminal records, the "bad hombres" that Trump spoke about throughout his presidential campaign. But the data show that the biggest jump in arrests involved undocumented immigrants without a criminal record, a 156% increase from last year.

Between Jan. 22 and April 29, ICE arrested 10,845 people whose immigration violations were the only marks on their record. That's nearly triple the 4,242 people arrested during the same time period in President Barack Obama's final year in office.

Of all the people arrested by ICE this year, nearly 75% had a criminal record.

Even CNN can't help but to acknowledge the winning. Only a Liberal would say having MS-13 in this country is a good thing. Get 'em out!

Dozens of MS-13 gang members nabbed in 50 Los Angeles raids

The 50 pre-dawn raids, aimed at catching suspects asleep or off guard, also focused on nabbing members of MS-13's core leadership, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) said.
"Today we disrupted this gang's command and control," said Eric Harden, special agent in charge of the ATF's Los Angeles field division.

Los Angeles is the US base for MS-13, which has tens of thousands of members worldwide. Authorities count the gang among the largest criminal organizations in the US.

Authorities carried out the largest crackdown of MS-13 members in Los Angeles history. They also found suspected human trafficking victims of the gang.

More than half of the 44 people arrested Wednesday are undocumented immigrants, acting US Attorney Sandra Brown said.

Just this week, at the National Peace Officers' Memorial Service, President Donald Trump said, "MS-13 is going to be gone from our streets very soon, believe me."
