U.N. expands North Korea blacklist in first U.S., China sanctions deal under Trump

The U.N. Security Council on Friday expanded targeted sanctions against North Korea after its repeated missile tests, adopting the first such resolution agreed by the United States and Pyongyang's only major ally China since President Donald Trump took office.

The Trump administration has been pressing China aggressively to rein in its reclusive neighbor, warning that all options are on the table if Pyongyang persists with its nuclear and missile development programs.

The United States has struggled to slow those programs, which have become a security priority given Pyongyang's vow to develop a nuclear-tipped missile capable of hitting the U.S. mainland.

"The United States will continue to seek a peaceful, diplomatic resolution to this situation," U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told the council after the vote. But she added: "Beyond diplomatic and financial consequences, the United States remains prepared to counteract North Korean aggression through other means, if necessary."

With the appeaser in chief gone, now things are moving in the right direction again

Stocks hit an ALL-TIME HIGH today. The smart money knows how much pulling out of the Paris accord means to our economy.

So in the future, when it dips downwards, that too will be a clear and direct reflection of President Trump's policies. Just want to make sure I understand how it works.

But, but, but I thought the UN was a horrible, terrible overlord sucking the blood out of us that we should chase out of NY first chance we had.

No, you imbecile. Any number of things can cause the market to dip. Are you really that stupid? If pulling out of Paris was as awful as you idiot libtards think then the market would have had a huge drop yesterday. GD you're dumb.

Last time the market dropped of any significance was when certain members of Congress thought it would be a good idea for everyone to have a mortgage.

Aha, thanks for clarifying, now I understand. If the markets go up, that's due to President Trump, if the markets drop it's due to external factors unrelated to the President.

Bingo, as it was for the last 8 years. Every failure was Bush's fault, the 3 successes were Obama's.

Shocked that you're somehow now offended by the rules of the game you've so long played by.

I'm going to count this as a win but I know there will be a year long knife fight just to get it passed the house.

Trump’s Food Stamp Reform Would Close the Trap of Dependency
http://dailysignal.com/2017/05/25/t...3a0RUY0dCYnRLMkZcL1NuQzNqcWU3cFlEOVBKak8rIn0=

President Donald Trump’s newly released budget contains a proposed food stamp reform, which the left has denounced as a “horror” that arbitrarily cuts food stamp benefits by 25 percent.

These claims are misleading.

In reality, the president’s proposed policy is based on two principles: requiring able-bodied adult recipients to work or prepare for work in exchange for benefits, and restoring minimal fiscal responsibility to state governments for the welfare programs they operate.

The president’s budget reasserts the basic concept that welfare should not be a one-way handout. Welfare should, instead, be based on reciprocal obligations between recipients and taxpayers.

Trump ‘Has Fundamentally Changed The Country’ While Left Chases Russia Conspiracies

The Huffington Post’s Sam Stein hints there may be a method to President Trump’s madness in constantly feeding the far-left conspiracy that he is a secret Russian operative.

On the morning of May 12, Attorney General Jeff Sessions revealed that he had instructed federal prosecutors to begin pursuing lengthier prison sentences for drug offenders.

It was a draconian change in approach that flew in the face of a growing bipartisan agreement on sentencing reform. “He’s completely discarded what has been an emerging consensus about how best to keep the country safe,” said Matthew Miller, a former Department of Justice spokesman. “[O]ne of the most extreme voices in the country on criminal justice policy just happened to be put into the most important job for shaping its future.”

The move was then largely buried under an avalanche of Donald Trump-related news.

Trump takes another step to allow oil drilling in Atlantic Ocean

WASHINGTON -- President Donald Trump's administration on Monday took another step toward allowing oil drilling in the Atlantic Ocean, proposing to approve five requests for seismic testing in the area.

Such permits are required before the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management gives the green light for such testing, which is conducted to find oil and gas deposits on the ocean floor. The tests involve airgun blasting and can harm marine life.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Marine Fisheries Service will seek comments through July 7 before making a final decision on granting the permits for an area from the Delaware-New Jersey border to Florida's Space Coast. If the agencies approve, the tests could begin this fall.

In other words, brace yourselves for the Comey testimony this week.

hahahahahahahaha

No worries

Fasten your seatbelts. I'm hearing the Wednesday testimony of Rogers (NSA) and Daniel Coats will bring plenty of fireworks, setting the stage for the main event on Thurs. Fascinating times indeed in American politics. This is what happens when you elect a mafioso as president. I just hope the collateral damage won't be devastating for the country.

James Comey Senate testimony: America braces for a historic political moment
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...ey-senate-testimony-donald-trump-russia-flynn

When James Comey, the former FBI director, stands before a Senate committee on Thursday to give evidence about the president who fired him, it will be one of the most dramatic moments in US political history.

The stakes will be as high as they have ever been at a congressional hearing. The questions Comey will be asked by the Senate intelligence committee include whether Donald Trump tried to persuade him to stop an investigation into improper contacts between a top adviser and Russian officials, whether Trump sought to extract a vow of personal loyalty, and whether Comey was fired because he did not comply.

Trump has denied trying to make Comey drop the case, but if Comey contradicts him and is supported by other evidence, it would represent potential obstruction of justice by the president and mark a long leap down the road towards impeachment.

And as all this unfolds before our eyes, the hardcore Trump faction on the board will surely continue their tired, flacid droning-on about Hillary, fake news and the liberal media. Maybe one day you will wake up and realize it is you that have been duped.

Trump didn't invoke executive privilege to prevent Comey from testifying, because he knows he's innocent. Let the libtards do their dog and pony show, step on their dicks and then go back to their safe spaces with depression. No big deal.

Trump...knows he's innocent.
Make sure you hold onto that thought, nice and tight, like squeezing a teddy bear to your chest. You're gonna need all the comforting you can get these next few weeks.

It's actually comical to watch you salivating, hoping, and cheering this all on.

Trump had the right to stop all of this. He could have, as stated, prevented the testimony. He's allowing it to happen.

If he had done something, do you think he'd have allowed it?

Hope on Tibs, hope on!

Like Jared Kushner, nada. Like the "Russia conspiracy" - nada. We have Hillary and Bill and the Clinton Foundation on Russia, lock stock and barrel. But your John Podesta-created, "Russia Hacked the Election" theories have generated exactly nothing.

Meanwhile, Trump under the cover of all of this, keeps slipping one Conservative agenda after another through that the media isn't paying attention to.

WINNING

You keep saying **** like that but nothing, NOTHING, happens. Because the Russia / Trump conspiracy is a big hoax, just a made up excuse for Hillary's epic loss. Prepare your safe space...

The Robert Mueller-led Special Counsel is just now starting the inquiry. You guys are stating as fact that we 'know' all of these things to be true, yet the investigation hasn't even begun yet. Doesn't that seem a little odd to you?

No. What is more odd is that you continue to state as fact that something did go on, that there is some collusion with Russia, despite the written testimony that John Podesta hatched the whole Russia Hacked the Election bullshit to cover for Hillary's inexcusable loss and terrible campaign.

Your desperation is palpable.

Back...under your bed, behind your wall.

If it's pure bullshit, then why did the Justice Department appoint a special prosecutor on the case?

As petty as you get, I'm guessing you're a cat owner?

To answer your question why? Optics and politics. It's that simple.

Could you provide some of the evidence of collusion that WashPo, HuffPo, PMSNBC, NYT, ABC, NBC, LATimes et al scream incessantly about?

Evidence. Not opinion. Nor your blather and conjecture.

There is nothing petty about a Special Prosecutor investigating the President.

That's what the special prosecutor is for numbnuts, to bear that evidence out. Let's see how it plays out, why don't we?
