The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

I don't think it boils down to political parties at all. It boils down to common decency, a shared idea of American foundational tenets of democracy, the Rule of Law, the Constitution, the separation of powers. The notion that we can agree to disagree. That the core structure of the Republic is sacred, the pillars of governance unflappable... that every four years we'll elect a government that may lean a little left, or a little right, but that the vision of America, and what it stands for, is set in stone. That the Constitution provides everyone their right to Free Speech, their Right of Assembly.

For instance, you can be for strong border control and immigration policy, and at the same time stand and protest against ICE stepping over the line, brutalizing local communities, attacking Americans protesting. You can be for tariffs, and a strong, America-first economic policy, without attacking, insulting, and demeaning our allies. You can exert pressure and achieve your goals within NATO, while maintaining good relations with partner countries. You can champion American ideals, without dragging down other nations.

You can demand and hold elected officials accountable from the opposing party, then double-down and do the same with the party you support.

It seems we've lost our way, amidst all the duplicity and mudslinging. Us against them. The fact anyone who is opposed to Trump is called a "communist" and "anti-American" is exhibit A of this phenomena. In the end, we are all Americans, blacks, whites, Hispanic, Asian. We're all Americans, even those with funny names, like mine, and those from 1st and 2nd generation immigrant families, who have become citizens.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. That's the underlying concept of America, as expressed by our founders, who traveled here from a foreign land, seeking freedom and prosperity. I'm not willing to cede the Republic to those wishing to tear it down by scapegoating others. So many have died for this flag, for this nation, fighting for the very principles that we take for granted. The ability to speak up, criticize the government, assemble at will, yes, carry arms, and worship whatever God or religion you choose, or none at all. This is what makes America great. It doesn't need to be made great again.. it's great as it is. It is we, everyday people and citizens, that need to up our game, and stop succumbing to the myth and fantasy that everything will be solved for us, top-down, from those we elect to office.

Additionally, 30 women twerking their ***** in front of the camera didn't do a lot for cultural enrichment.

I did see that Bad Bunny had more rushing yards than the Patriots though.

Glad you enjoyed the Kid Rock show. I loved the Super Bowl halftime show. It was energetic, lively, and fun. It was a great production and a spectacle. I'm glad the Seahawks beat the crap out of the Pats. The sun shall rise again in the morning. The dust will settle. It does seem strange to me what political theater even the Super Bowl halftime show has become. Perhaps someday, we can just sit back and enjoy it, or hate it, on its own merit.
Music for me ended in about 1979 so I really have no say on what music is in 2026, other than I'm not impressed by the glam and dancing substituting for musical talent, like effortlessly being able to play a barred F chord. By your statement though, you appear to be a Big Bunny fan, so maybe you could post your favorite BB song so I could listen to it in an attempt to understand the appeal.

Songs recognized decades later from a single lyric.

Hello darkness my old friend
I read the news today, oh boy
There is a house in New Orleans
Busted flat in Baton Rouge, waitin' for a train

And of course

This year I don't want *****

Next Halftime Show To Be Performed Entirely In Sindarin Elvish

U.S. — In an effort to expand the global market for American football, the National Football League announced on Tuesday that next year's Super Bowl halftime show would be performed entirely in Sindarin Elvish.

After the huge success in reaching the international Spanish-speaking population of the world by making the halftime show cater only to them, the NFL had now set its sights on the next most obvious demographic: the elven population. Sindarin, also known as Grey-elven, is the most commonly used language of the elven population throughout Middle-earth during the Third Age.

"No elves are watching these games or buying merchandise," said NFL entertainment executive Hank Harvey. "The NFL has a large, untapped market for American football in the elven demographic, and if we can appeal to them, we have a great opportunity to grow and expand the league."

League officials were hopeful that expanding into the elven market would open up a new world of revenue potential.

"We know we have the white English speakers on lockdown already, and they won't leave, no matter how insulting we are to them, " Harvey continued. "So, to all the elves tuning in right now, I just want to say, Mae tollen an i NFL. Si i vad vad Amerigana!"

At publishing time, several names had been floated to headline the event next year, including famed singer and pipe-player Daeron, the chief minstrel to King Thingol, and Maglor, one of the sons of Fëanor and the composer of the Noldolantë.

I try to stay out of these arguments as much as possible. Let me start by saying a lean very conservative. At this point, I have grown so tired of all of this ****. I just want all of the **** Biden, **** ICE, **** Trump people to disappear. No matter what side you are on, if you can’t make your argument without using words that children shouldn’t hear or see or without resorting to childish name calling, you can’t be taken seriously. Anyone who doesn’t care if young children …theirs or someone else’s…see or hear such things, deserve no respect. If you want to say that crap around adults…fine…I think it just shows that they are too ignorant to make an educated statement.

I have to agree with you, but it seems to me, and admittedly I'm a little biased, that it's the left that's corner the market on name calling, accusations without substance, while assuming the self-proclaimed victim role, all the while parroted by the media.
They've bastardized the language to fit their narrative, nazi, pedophile, fascist, racist, sexist, bigot have all lots their original meaning. They've even turned Make America Great Again to sound like it's a bad thing.

Once again, I agree, but I am being perhaps overly objective saying there are issues on both sides. My personal opinion is that the liberal side is all about chaos and destruction of anyone who doesn’t agree with them. Anyone can challenge that. If you want to cite Jan 6…I have always stated that when they entered the capital, it was a riot and you get what is coming to you.

No wonder Tibs thought the halftime performance was excellent.

I didn’t like his performance but as far as bad visuals he isn’t alone in Super Bowl performances. At least most of the audience couldn’t understand what he was saying, it was a blessing. Last years was just as bad in my opinion. Bring back the marching bands and let them have a huge production. OSU could rock a halftime show with a big budget.

Or the area high school bands playing together. It would do more to boost pride in the area where the game is held than to promote established acts that have zero interest in football, think Springstein.

I feel so culturally enriched watching 20 women twerk their ***** 5 feet from the camera.
