The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

Fixed it

President Trump’s visit to Nashville, Tennessee, promoted the Senate candidacy of Rep. Marsha Blackburn, who was expected to face former Gov. Phil Bredesen in the race to replace retiring Republican Sen. Bob Corker. Besides headlining a private fundraiser for Blackburn, he used a public rally to urge supporters not to become “complacent” this fall while Democrats were “sticking together” to block his agenda.

“We need Marsha in the Senate to continue the amazing progress and work that we’ve done over the last year and a half,” Trump said during the rally. “To keep on winning, you have to vote Republican in November.”

The New Anti-EU Italy:

New Five Star-League Government Emerges After Talks, Swearing In Tomorrow

The Italian President Sergio Mattarella has done an about face and given Giuseppe Conte the mandate to form a new government of the outsider parties.

Mattarella had balked at the idea of Euroskeptic Paolo Savona as finance minister, but Savona will be minister of EU affairs.

The Five Star leader Luigi Di Maio will be industry-labor minister and League leader Matteo Salvini will be interior minister dealing with illegal immigration.

The new government has set a goal of 500-thousand deportations.

The new government was denounced by the interim leader of the Uniparty "Left" in Italy. Democratic Party (PD) politician Maurizio Martyina is quoted by the ANSA news agency calling it "rightwing, populist and dangerous".

The US State Department told the Italian news agency "the Trump Administration is ready to work with the new Italian government as soon as it is formed."

Fine enough. So run on a platform of more immigrants and immigrant rights and see if you win.

WASHINGTON—The unemployment rate fell to an 18-year low in May and employers steadily added jobs, signs of enduring strength for the labor market.

U.S. nonfarm payrolls rose a seasonally adjusted 223,000 in May, the Labor Department said Friday. The unemployment rate ticked down to 3.8%, matching April 2000 as the lowest reading since 1969.

Wages in May improved modestly, growing 2.7% from a year earlier.

Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal had expected 190,000 new jobs and a 3.9% unemployment rate.

President Trump Orders Perry to Stem Coal, Nuclear Power Plant Closures

President Donald Trump ordered Energy Secretary Rick Perry to take immediate action to stem power plant closures in the name of national security, arguing that a decline in coal and nuclear electricity is putting the nation’s grid at risk.

"Impending retirements of fuel-secure power facilities are leading to a rapid depletion of a critical part of our nation’s energy mix and impacting the resilience of our power grid," White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said in an emailed statement Friday. Trump has directed Perry "to prepare immediate steps to stop the loss of these resources and looks forward to his recommendations."

Under the Energy Department strategy, outlined in a memo, the administration would invoke national defense -- using authority granted under a pair of federal laws -- to establish a “strategic electric generation reserve” and compel grid operators to buy electricity from at-risk plants.

The US economy suddenly looks like it's unstoppable

In the face of persistent fears that the world could be facing a trade war and a synchronized slowdown, the U.S. economy enters June with a good deal of momentum.

Friday's data provided convincing evidence that domestic growth remains intact even if other developed economies are slowing. A better-than-expected nonfarm payrolls report coupled with a convincing uptick in manufacturing and construction activity showed that the second half approaches with a tail wind blowing.

"The fundamentals all look very solid right now," said Gus Faucher, chief economist at PNC. "You've got job growth and wage gains that are supporting consumer spending, and tax cuts as well. There's a little bit of a drag from higher energy prices, but the positives far outweigh that. Business incentives are in good shape."

The day started off with the payrolls report showing a gain of 223,000 in May, well above market expectations of 188,000, and the unemployment rate hitting an 18-year low of 3.8 percent.

Then, the ISM manufacturing index registered a 58.7 reading — representing the percentage of businesses that report expanding conditions — that also topped Wall Street estimates. Finally, the construction spending report showed a monthly gain of 1.8 percent, a full point higher than expectations.

Put together, the data helped fuel expectations that first-quarter growth of 2.2 percent will be the low-water point of 2018.

In other news, the Democrats still hate everything that is good and American.

Sour Pelosi poo-poos booming economy: ‘Strong employment numbers mean little’

The Trump economy is booming, but that’s not good enough for Nancy Pelosi.

The May unemployment rate was a stunningly low 3.8 percent, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Black unemployment is the lowest ever: 5.9 percent, the Washington Examiner reports.

But instead of celebrating the incredible economic activity, the House Speaker wannabe shrugged.

“May’s jobs report shows that strong employment numbers mean little to the families hit with soaring new costs under the Republicans’ watch,” the House Minority Leader said in a statement.

She added:

Republicans’ cruel, cynical health care sabotage campaign is already spiking families’ premiums by double digits and pushing millions off their coverage, according to the nonpartisan CBO. Big Pharma continues to hoard the benefits of the GOP tax scam, using their handouts to further enrich executives and shareholders instead of lowering prescription drug costs for seniors and sick kids. At the same time, the President’s reckless policies are exploding gas prices, wiping out the few meager gains that some families should have received from the GOP tax scam, as wages remain stagnant.

“Democrats will never stop fighting for the hard-working middle class families who are the backbone of our nation,” she claimed.

It’s not the first time Pelosi was sour about positive economic news.

She had a similar response during Trump’s first speech to Congress last year.

Yep, yep!

Black unemployment rate hits new record low in May

The unemployment rate for black workers hit new record lows in May, the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.

Black unemployment fell sharply to 5.9 percent, beating out the 6.6 percent record low that was set a month earlier.

The unemployment rate for Hispanic workers hit a record low in April, at 4.8 percent, but it rose slightly to 4.9 percent in May.

The total unemployment rate for white workers dropped from 3.6 percent to 3.5 percent.

President Trump has cheered the record low unemployment rates seen for black workers on his watch. He and his supporters have pointed to the falling numbers for black workers as proof that Trump is working to better the lives of all Americans, even as Trump's critics continue to say Trump is a racist who should be removed from office.

U.S. vetoes UN Security Council resolution denouncing violence against Palestinians

The United States vetoed on Friday a Kuwait-drafted UN Security Council resolution that condemned Israel’s use of force against Palestinian civilians, criticizing it as a “grossly one-sided view” that failed to blame Hamas for the recent violence.

“The terrorist group Hamas bares primary responsibility for the awful living conditions in Gaza,” Nikki Haley, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said ahead of the vote.

Border wall construction underway in South San Diego County

Construction started Friday on the US-Mexico border wall project at ...San Diego County.

The work will replace about 14 miles of scrap metal wall that stands up to 10 feet high with a wall between 18 and 30 feet tall. The new wall will also have an anti-climbing plate.

Crews will build the wall starting half a mile from the Pacific Ocean, east to the bottom of Otay Mountain

Democrat Mid-Term Hopes Are Crumbling

The U.S. Labor Department released another strong employment report today. It showed that non-farm payrolls expanded by 223,000, far exceeding expectations of most economists. The unemployment rate dropped to 3.8%, the lowest since April of 2000. For African Americans, the unemployment rate was the lowest on record, at 5.9%.

It was also encouraging that this growth has been focused on the private sector instead of the public sector. Under President Trump, the federal workforce has actually been trimmed by 24,000 jobs. Although it is only a small decrease in a bureaucracy that includes almost 2.8 million workers, it is a step in the right direction.

With a focus on slashing needless federal regulations and cutting personal and corporate tax rates, President Trump has created a very conducive environment for economic growth. Unfortunately for Democrats, all of these good economic news reports will not help their deranged anti-Trump party win back control of Congress this fall.

President Trump's 500-day coup of the GOP

In 500 days, Trump’s hijacking of the formerly conservative GOP is complete — an astonishing accomplishment. The majority party in America is fully defined by his policies, his popularity with the base, his facts-be-damned mentality, his ability to control and quiet virtually all Republican elected officials.

Everything changed:

Trump has wiped out a large portion of Obama’s legacy. He’s exited the Paris climate deal; signed major tax cuts, especially for corporations; confirmed an ultra-conservative Supreme Court justice and record numbers of circuit court judges; deregulated like crazy; exited the Iran deal; exited the TPP trade deal; repealed the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate; and moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing it as Israel’s capital.

'Get ready to pack your bags,' Italy's interior minister tells migrants

Italy's new hardline interior minister Matteo Salvini will be in Sicily Sunday to push the anti-immigration platform that propelled him to power at one of the country's main landing points for refugees.

The head of the far-right League is on the road seeking to rally support for his party's candidates in municipal elections later this month, as part of a broader effort to boost the traditionally secessionist party's profile in the country's poorer south.

Salvini had said after being sworn in that he would ask his ministry's experts "how to reduce the number of arriving migrants and increase the number of expulsions".

"The good times for illegals is over -- get ready to pack your bags," he said Saturday at a rally in Italy's north.

The appointment of the Special Councel is totally UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Despite that, we play the game because I, unlike the Democrats, have done nothing wrong!

As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself, but why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong? In the meantime, the never ending Witch Hunt, led by 13 very Angry and Conflicted Democrats (& others) continues into the mid-terms!

Rick Santorum says Barack Obama 'exacerbated racism' in the U.S.

“You can’t just go from ‘well, we elected out first black president’ and ‘all of a sudden we get Donald Trump.’ There was something in between those two things.”

According to Santorum, “many, many, many people” saw Obama being racist himself and “doing more to exacerbate racism” in the United States.

Mika - Bill and Hillary responsible for Trump Presidency

Today, on Morning Joe, she blamed the Donald Trump Presidency on the Clintons. Donald is President, due directly to Bill Clinton, she stated. Clinton is to blame! She seemed to suggest Hillary was co-responsible or she should have divorced Bill.

Oooooo the outrage!

hahahahahaha

The media in our county has perverted the definition of "news".

News is really just the sharing of information. Someone decides an event or happening is "newsworthy" and reports it. Who, what and where.

The media, in their ever growing egotistical importance, has decided the "Why" is just as important as those other three things. And they have systematically controlled the "Why" to fit their self-important narrative. They have for generations molded and fudged the "why" part of that equation. They have argued that if the "Who, What and Where" are factual, they can sneak whatever the **** they want in for the "Why" and the American people won't ******* know the different.

The problem today is they have lost complete control of the "Why". Now anyone, all over the internet, can just fill in the "Whys" however they see fit. Doesn't ******* matter. Not lying because the mainstream media has been white lying about the "Why" forever. So what if we go a little further? Why does the main stream media only control the "Why".

Now the "Why" can be any conspiracy theory we want to dream up. And the media HATES this. They hate it. It makes baseless all their so-called "expert opinions" that they have been pushing on us as fact for years and years and years. And no one knows how to get the cat back into the bag. They (meaning big government and big media) want it to go back to what it was and I don't think it's possible without massive censorship legislation.

Unfortunately (in my opinion), places like Europe and Canada don't have the same Constitutional protections of free speech like the U.S. and they are much more susceptible to censorship by the government than we are. I am still of the strong opinion if the U.S. tried to enact something like this here, there is no way our Supreme Court would allow it.

We will see how this all plays out. Free speech is the most important issue in the 2nd half of my lifetime because the internet and "bots" and computers have turned the art of propaganda into a very real threat that I think governments will DRASTICALLY over react too and restrict freedoms to millions of people. And that is a very scary prospect for a possible future of more government control over it's citizens.

The gift that keeps on giving...

Bill Clinton: I wouldn't have done anything differently in Lewinsky scandal even in #MeToo era

The former president said in an interview on the "Today" show that he has never personally apologized to Monica Lewinsky.

Former President Bill Clinton says that, even in light of the #MeToo movement, he would not have approached how he dealt with Monica Lewinsky any differently and acknowledged that — 20 years after their relationship made headlines — he’s still never apologized privately to the former intern.

"I don't think it would be an issue," the ex-president told NBC News' Craig Melvin in an interview that aired Monday on the "Today" show, after he was asked if he would have "approached the accusations differently" if he were president in 2018 "with everything that’s going on with the #MeToo movement.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/po...-anything-differently-lewinsky-affair-n879721

I don't like it any censorship.

The problem, legally, about "fake" news is the same problem I have with "hate" speech. When you start adding adjectives to Constitutional rights, who decides exactly what that adjective means? These adjectives.... "fake", "hate", could lead to "insensitive", "angry" and a slew of other adjectives that all of sudden are definitions the government wants to control.

And remember, the narrative through this whole "fake news" thing is that Americans can't do this for ourselves. We are too stupid, we are too easily duped, we are too uneducated to decide for ourselves. We need "smart people" (i.e. people controlled by government and media) to decide what we can understand and what we can't.

The Supreme Court, throughout the history of our country, has been very narrow on infringement into free speech. Only speech that incites IMMEDIATE violence or danger is disallowed. If I say, let's get our pitchforks and have a meeting NEXT WEEK, I'm probably protected by free speech. If I say let's get our pitchforks NOW, I probably am not. If I say there's a fire at the movies next week, no issues. If I stand up and scream fire, I'm in trouble.

There is no harm in "fake" news or "hate" speech unless you ASSUME the person listening to the speech isn't smart enough to hear it and decide for himself what to do with that information. That is a very slippery slope to me that I just don't like government or media deciding for me.

I think if a program has News in the title or refers to itself as a news source, then they must report the facts without lies and bias. Otherwise they need to be categorized as a talk show.

Maybe we should "license" journalists. Have them prove they can follow some guidelines for their profession when reporting on Who, When, Where. If they **** up on that, they lose their livelihood.

And I agree, we have to take the "Why" out of news all together. Keep all the "whys" off to the side of where we get news in the first place. Maybe we have to separate the two and force main stream media to do it.
