The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

Nervous laughter because he just told a room full of Socialists that Socialism is bad. Meantime 1) our economy is owning their ***** and 2) most of them are nothing without us.
LOL Baghdad Bob can't hold a candle to you. No, a room full of world leaders openly laughed and ridiculed the Donald for saying his administration has done more in two years than any other is US history. I understand the truth stings, but you won't get anywhere trying to explain this one away. You elected and continue to support an unhinged, asshat circus clown. Your choice, not mine.

The Don just keeps on winning. It was time for the people to get off welfare in the USA. Now it’s time for all of those countries to get off welfare from us to. Protect yourself provide for your own people. You do your part we help if you don’t pound sand. They need us way more than we need them. America first !

He just gave the middle finger to George Soros and the globalists and told a room full of Communists and Socialists that they're ****** in the head. I'm good with it.

Those world "leaders" more than likely contain a majority of corrupt despots. The UN leader's opinions are not a measuring stick of success thats for damn sure.

Such a sad, pathetic little man.

‘People actually laughed at a president’: At U.N. speech, Trump suffers the fate he always feared
https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...0b1d52-c0eb-11e8-90c9-23f963eea204_story.html

UNITED NATIONS — President Trump has long argued that the United States has been taken advantage of by other nations — a “laughing stock to the entire World,” he said on Twitter in 2014 — and his political rise was based on the premise that he had the strength and resolve to change that.

But at the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday, Trump got a comeuppance on the world’s biggest stage. Delivering a speech that aimed to establish U.S. “sovereignty” over the whims and needs of other nations, the president’s triumphant moment was marred in the first minute when he was met by laughter — at his expense.

The embarrassing exchange came when Trump boasted that his administration had accomplished more over two years than “almost any administration” in American history, eliciting audible guffaws in the cavernous chamber hall.

The president appeared startled. “Didn’t expect that reaction,” he said, “but that’s okay.”

Members of the audience chuckled again — perhaps this time in sympathy.

Trump continued his address, which lasted an additional 34 minutes, but the moment marked a pointed rejoinder from the international community to a president who has delighted in poking traditional U.S. allies and partners in the eye on trade, security alliances and general diplomatic bonhomie.

“He has always been obsessed that people are laughing at the president. From the mid-’80s, he’s said: ‘The world is laughing at us. They think we’re fools,’ ” said Thomas Wright, a Europe analyst at the Brookings Institution. “It’s never been true, but he’s said it about every president. It’s the first time I’m aware of that people actually laughed at a president. I think it is going to drive him absolutely crazy. It will play to every insecurity he has.”

God bless Donald J. Trump and watch over him and his family. Best. President. Ever.

President Trump gives boy a hug when asked for one...Such an amazing guy!

Then video of the creeper Biden and how he interacts with children...Yikes. Does he not have anyone to remind him not to be creeper before those events?

What a ******* creep...makes you wonder what he was doing in high school 60 yrs. ago.

What a joke. I prefer a President who doesn't get laughed in his face by world leaders. This is what happens when Trump tries to spew his bullshit to a real audience, not his usual MAGA, rah rah pep rallies.

What an embarrassing low point for America.

Interesting. I watched the video several times. Seems like the majority of the congregation laughed when Trump remarked about 'not the reaction he expected' and NOT from the initial comments.

But spin it how you want. People see and hear things they want to see.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Smash again.

I would like to relay how President Trump's winning policies have impacted my family in a major way. My eldest started college in 2014. The Government takeover of the Student Loan market had skyrocketed tuition and everything else. Stories of recent graduates living with their parents abounded. There were no jobs for graduates. It was bleak. I feared for my daughters future. I prayed that she would have opportunities. I truly believe that the continuation of Obummers policies would not have supplied the economy to provide those opportunities. Fast forward to 2018. After working 20-30 hours a week and going to school fulltime she graduated in four years. Thats starting to be a thing. After living out the last few months of her lease at school she moved home to look for a job. I'm so proud of her. She found an amazing job within 4 weeks. In her field. With amazing opportunities. I dont know if I've ever been so relieved in my entire lifetime.

Thank you President Trump for everything you have done for our country. From the bottom of my heart i wish you the best. I pray for your continued strength to fight the vermin who would destroy us.

In the totality of his administration and first term, I still can't be more happy with the way things are going for this country.

I think on a foreign policy regard we are MUCH better than under Obama. We are leading again (even if many don't want to follow, which is fine). We are not taking a back seat to global, non-elected bureaucratic "groups" like the EU and UN.

I think there has been real, tough-love progress in the Middle East and Korean peninsula. I think on trade we are making headway toward revolutionizing global rules on correcting the "cheaters" out there.

And we've accomplished so much by being strong, stubborn and not backing down easily.

Domestically, Trump is making sweeping changes toward conservatism in our court system that will last the next 25 years. The economy looks as solid as it's been in my lifetime. Interest rates are going up to healthy levels. Jobless rates in traditionally poor demographics are the best they've EVER been. Home ownership is creeping back up.

On immigration, he's done (or tried to do) everything he promised on the campaign trail and he's not backing down when he's been thwarted by congress or liberal judges. Illegal crossing are down (overall). We are deporting more illegals than ever before (and funny how the economy isn't collapsing because supposedly Americans won't do those jobs). I think the borders are more secure.

Once the borders are secure and we control illegal crossings we can address TRUE immigration reform to let the best into our country rather than the unknown.

Other than the circus that is Washington and the media and their hatred of the man and his demeanor, I really can't complain about anything that really matters or will be long-lasting once he's gone.

Err, does this go in the Winning thread? I guess it does. This was a long time coming. Glad we'll finally have some clarity on Trump's blatant emoluments clause violations. Not a good look when the President is breaking the law in plain sight.

Judge rules Dems can sue Trump over alleged emoluments clause violations
https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...rs-reps-can-sue-trump-over-alleged-emoluments

A federal judge ruled Friday that over 200 Democratic representatives and senators can sue President Trump over claims he violated the emoluments clause of the Constitution regarding his businesses with foreign governments.

The clause states that an elected official cannot accept “any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”

Democrats claim Trump is violating the clause whenever his hotels or golf courses receive payments from foreign governments because Trump still owns his stakes in them.

“[T]he Court finds that the plaintiffs have standing to sue the President for allegedly violating the Foreign Emoluments Clause,” U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan wrote in response to the suit, which was brought forward by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.).

“Plaintiffs argue that each Member of Congress suffers a particularized and concrete injury when his or her vote is nullified by the President’s denial of the opportunity to vote on the record about whether to approve his acceptance of a prohibited foreign emolument,” Sullivan explained.

A judge in July shot down a request from Trump to block a similar suit brought by the attorneys general of Maryland and the District of Columbia. That case is ongoing.

After the 2016 presidential election, Trump broke with precedent by refusing to divest his stakes in his businesses. He instead placed his assets in a trust controlled by his two adult sons.

Critics have since claimed that Trump's properties benefit from his contacts with foreign governments, including his hotel in Washington, which has hosted multiple foreign delegations.

That won't play because it's not like President Trump's company is simply receiving money from foreign governments. The foreign governments are receiving a service in return, a hotel room, round of golf, whatever.
