The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

GO LIZ!

“I believe that abortion rights are human rights,” Warren said. “I believe that they are also economic rights. And protecting the right of a woman to be able to make decisions about her own body is fundamentally what we do and what we stand for as a Democratic Party.”

[Debate moderator Rachel Maddow] followed up and pressed Warren to give a specific answer.

“Senator Warren, I’m going to push you on this a little bit for a specific answer to the question. Governor John Bel Edwards in Louisiana is an anti-abortion governor who has signed abortion restrictions in Louisiana. Is there room for him in the Democratic Party with those politics?” Maddow asked.

“I have made clear what I think the Democratic Party stands for,” Warren answered. “I’m not here to try to drive anyone out of this party. I’m not here to try to build fences. But I am here to say this is what I will fight for as president of the United States. The women of America can count on that.”

Rep. Adam Schiff will go down as one of the great statesmen of our time. His closing statement today was one for the ages. Gives me a glimmer of hope that there is still a future in America to look forward to.

White House, Republicans discuss limiting impeachment trial to two weeks

WASHINGTON — A group of Republican senators and senior White House officials met privately Thursday to map out a strategy for a potential impeachment trial of President Trump, including proceedings in the Senate that could be limited to about two weeks, according to multiple officials familiar with the talks.

Senators Mike Lee, Ron Johnson, John Neely Kennedy, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, and Tom Cotton met with White House counsel Pat Cipollone, acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, senior adviser Jared Kushner, and counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway, according to the officials, some of whom requested anonymity to discuss a private meeting.

The meeting was organized by White House legislative affairs director Eric Ueland, who was also in attendance along with advisers Pam Bondi and Tony Sayegh, recently hired to guide the White House’s impeachment messaging and strategy.

No final decisions were made on strategy for a trial that, if it happens, would come in January at the earliest. But one prominent scenario discussed, according to officials, was a trial that would last for roughly two weeks, which several Senate Republicans view as the ideal option because they believe it would be long enough to have credence without dragging on too long.

The scenario assumes the proceedings would end in acquittal in the GOP-controlled Senate.

I understand how frustrating it must be to watch an intelligent, thoughtful, well-spoken elected official give a reasoned, crystal-clear summary of a six-hour congressional hearing, off the top of his head, without the use of prepared notes or a teleprompter. If he'd be running for President, he'd get my vote.

Schiff couldn't get elected for Dog Catcher outside of his liberal enclave. Too many people would associate his name with the murder of 70 million Russians and the contract on the czar and his family.

Okay, you've got to be kidding. Tibs, you seem like a genuinely nice guy and have been gracious and kind to me, but you have to be trolling at this point. How in the world could you think this political hack is some noble American Patriot?

THIS IS THE MAN WHO READ A TRANSCRIPT (on live television) AS IF TRUMP WAS SOME CRAZY MOB BOSS. He acted like it was verbatim what the President said, and only until the actual conversation was released, he then claimed it was only parody, what he was doing. This is your statesman?

I'm convinced. He's trolling and doesn't believe one iota of this ****.

Damn right! Bring it on!

On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley stated that if the House moves forward on impeachment, President Trump “wants a trial in the Senate” and to bring up witnesses like House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), the whistleblower, and Hunter and Joe Biden.

Gidley said, “I spoke to the president about this tonight. … The president did nothing wrong. He wants that plain and clearly explained to the American people. But, he also feels there’s no basis to move forward at all in the House. But if they do, he wants a trial in the Senate. He wants to be able to bring up witnesses like Adam Schiff, like the whistleblower, like Hunter Biden, like Joe Biden. And he says, if the House moves forward with this sham, and they continue to push these fake, illegitimate proceedings onto the American people, then he wants it to go to the Senate, and he wants a trial.”

Seems like a good time to take a breath and go over some basic facts established in these hearings thus far. This is a decent summary from former American ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul:

My quick takeaways in one thread.

Most people had never heard of these witnesses before. I knew most of them: Ambs Taylor, Volker, Yovanovitch, Lt. Col. Vindman, David Holmes, and Dr. Fiona Hill. I've known Bill, Masha & Fiona for 3 decades. So it was weird watching them; none of them wanted to be there.

The story now is crystal clear. After 2 weeks, none of the basic facts were ever seriously disputed.

1. Let's start with President Trump and Ukraine. Trump has never cared about Ukrainian sovereignty, democracy, rule of law, or the war with Russia. He made that clear as a candidate. He has been consistent in that view. Trump seeks Putin's favor. Appeasing Putin = dissing Ukraine.

2. Trump, however, will use any means necessary to win reelection, including asking foreign governments to help him. He said as much to @GStephanopoulos on camera. He saw an opportunity in Ukraine. He first deputized Guiliani to explore it.

3. Several months ago, Giuliani began to court Ukrainian prosecutor general Yuri Lutsenko with the goal of opening investigations into Burisma/Biden. The aim was clear -- find/fabricate dirt on VP Biden, at the time the leading Democratic candidate in the 2020 election.

4, Giuliani also wanted Lutsenko to investigate "Ukrainian meddling" in the 2016 US presidential election. The goal -- deflect attention from the ACTUAL Russian intervention in 2016 & thereby strengthen legitimacy of Trump victory in 2016.

5. Lutsenko despised US Amb Yovanovitch. In this first quid pro quo, Giuliani got Yovanovitch fired in return for Lutsenko's agreement to open these investigations. (Giuliani's & his 2 sidekicks may have had other motivations in play -- more to come on that)

6. But then electoral politics in Ukraine intervened. Zelensky was elected president, and Lutsenko's boss, Poroshenko, lost. Lutsenko eventually lost his position. Giuliani's first play failed.

7. A new , inexperienced president in Ukraine, however, offered a new opportunity to create leverage for Trump/Giuliani. Zelensky, even more than Poroshenko, desperately needed a meeting with Trump to signal his close ties with the US.

8. Trump took advantage, demanding investigations into Burisma/Biden and "Ukraine 2016 meddling" in return for an Oval office bilateral meeting with Zelensky. He drafted new actors -- the 3 amigos -- to work with Guiliani and achieve these "deliverables" for 2020.

9. In his call to Zelensnky on July 25th, Trump bluntly asked for a "favor" -- opening these investigations. In other words, Trump was asking a foreign government to help his reelection campaign.

10. Trump then upped the ante and froze U.S. military assistance to Ukraine.

11. Zelensky was ready to acquiesce to this quid pro quo, or what Amb Bolton called a "drug deal." He even arranged to announce the opening of these investigations on Zakaria's CNN show.

12. But then the whistleblower stepped in. Trump panicked, released the aid, and then said (on September 9th) he didn't want anything from Ukraine anymore.

13. Trump used his public office -- the most sacred office in our country -- to try to pursue his private electoral interests. That's the definition of corruption.

14. To achieved these "deliverables", Trump even went so far as to withhold military assistance to a US partner at war with Russia. (14,000 people have died). Imagine FDR withholding military assistance to the UK in 1940 to pressure Churchill to help him win reelection.

15. Trump even asked a foreign govt to investigate a private American citizen, even though there is zero evidence of any wrongdoing by Hunter Biden.(Trump never expressed any interest in anti-corruption in Ukraine generally; nor did he use proper channels to pursue.)

16. Trump and team only stopped running the extortion/coercion/"drug deal" play after they were caught. (And most witnesses only came forward to testify after the whistleblower exposed this abuse of power) Had they not been exposed, the quid pro quo would have occurred.

What did I get wrong?

A little of both projection and trolling in that one.

Yeah you'd understand frustration because you've been mired in it for three years...after every unethical, underhanded, unconstitutional attempt to oust a president since his election has bombed.

Sad and pathetic that all you do is wage personal attacks, Stewey. That is called, uhm, trolling.

Did I insult you or your mother, or some other family member? If not, why do you constantly choose to attack me, instead of arguing with or attempting to disprove the contents of my posts? Because you're unable to. So all there's left is to lash out, like a snot-nosed kindergartner. Speaks for itself. Have a nice day and enjoy the weekend.

To say there is zero evidence of wrongdoing by the Bidens is ludicrous. The evidence is in plain sight.

What Trump did might be an overreach, or New York style diplomacy or whatever else you want to call it, but the Bidens should have been investigated LONG before this. The fact our media ignored it is the BIGGEST story here.

It is the continued hypocrisy that gets me. When Obama did "quid pro quo" deals, or used the FBI to look into Trump, when kids of congressmen got cushy deals, the media doesn't do a damn thing. But now that it's Trump, ALL this stuff become the end of our Republic.

It's just the whole game I'm so tired of. The politicians. The media. How they spin stories. What they decide is "important".

Let the ******* House and Senate vote on impeachment and move on.

Seems like a good time to take a breath and go over some basic facts established in these hearings thus far. This is a decent summary from former American ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul:

Thanks for showing us 16 opinions. We all read the transcript. We dont need some loony comies to give thier opinion.

Here we go, it's on!

Sen. Lindsey Graham on Thursday requested State Department documents related to former Vice President Joe Biden’s communications with former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

Graham, R-S.C., sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo requesting the documents to assist in answering questions regarding allegations that Joe Biden was involved in the termination of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin in order to end an investigation into natural gas company Burisma Holdings, where his son Hunter Biden served on the board.

The senator requested all documents and communications related to Joe Biden’s phone calls with Poroshenko on Feb. 11, 18 and 19, and March 22, 2016, citing media reports that they discussed previous demands to dismiss Shokin for alleged corruption before he was removed from office on March 29, 2016.

Graham also requested documents and communications between Joe Biden and his office and Poreshenko and his office between Feb. 2, 2016, when Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky’s home was raided and Shokin’s dismissal.

Lastly, Graham sought all documents and communications related to a meeting between Devon Archer, a business partner of Hunter Biden, and then-Secretary of State John Kerry on March 2, 2016.

Graham’s request comes after two weeks of public testimony on the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, which centers around a whistle-blower’s complaint that Trump withheld military aid from Ukraine in an attempt to pressure newly elected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Burisma and the Bidens.

So now calling out a troll is trolling. lol...and crying about personal attacks with personal attacks. Oh the irony.

Was my post right before the Hungarian troll a personal attack too?

Your posts have no basis in fact. Your posts are akin to me accusing you of being a child molester thereby giving you the burden of trying to prove your not.
Instead of us trying to disprove your opinions, why don't you try and disprove facts laid out here on a daily basis? Because you cant.
So you just resort to trolling like this gem:

These hearings and witness testimony are increasingly devastating for the Trump presidency. Really shocking to see the level of corruption at the highest levels of the US government. It's what you would expect from a banana republic in some far away land. Who knows what will come of impeachment, but every American should be downright embarrassed by the antics of this out of control, unhinged President. It's beyond pathetic.

It's reflected in fundraising too. RNC is steadily kicking the **** out of the DNC.

Impeachment backlash fuels record GOP fundraising, massive $61M in bank

The Republican National Committee fundraising juggernaut, fueled by a GOP backlash to the House impeachment effort to force President Trump from office, scored another record in October and pushed the bank account past $61 million.

The debt-free RNC told Secrets exclusively that it brought in $25.3 million in October and has $61.4 million cash on hand.

For perspective, that is nearly triple what it raised in October 2017, the last nonelection October, and the money on hand is the most since 2012.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has been setting fundraising records month after month, and when the Trump 2020 campaign effort is included, the GOP team has raised nearly $400 million. In September, it raised over $27 million, another record.

By comparison, the Democratic National Committee was $7 million in debt last month. Officials, however, note that the DNC is competing with over a dozen presidential candidates for donations. Also, at this point in President Barack Obama’s first reelection, in 2011, Obama and the DNC had raised under $150 million.

The party credited support for Trump and anger by many Republicans at impeachment. Its anti-impeachment effort called “Stop the Madness” has brought in 75,000 volunteers.

“While Democrats are focused on their sham impeachment charade, Republicans had another record-breaking fundraising month in October — the best off-cycle October in our party’s history,” said McDaniel.

“When you look beyond the Beltway, it’s clear that the American people are sick and tired of the Democrats’ baseless investigations. In 2020, voters will choose results over the Democrats’ polarizing political rhetoric, and the RNC is in the strongest position possible to reelect President Trump and Republicans up-and-down the ballot,” she added.

While House Democrats tried to distract you with their charade…

The key numbers for the RNC:

Receipts for September were $25.3 million.
Receipts for 2019-2020 cycle are $194 million.
Impeachment isn’t just playing a role in donors sending checks and online contributions to the Republican Party. The party is also spending that money to target pro-impeachment Democrats for defeat.

Key is a “five-figure newspaper ad buy” running in 15 states and targeting House Democrats in vulnerable districts. Some of the ads are in Spanish.

The ads are designed as “wanted” posters and urge voters to call their lawmaker and tell them to work on key issues, not impeachment.

The “Stop the Madness” effort has included over 120 events nationwide targeting over 60 Democrats in Senate, House, and gubernatorial races. The RNC said the events include protests and training of “new volunteers inspired to get involved by the partisan witch hunt.”

So here's MORE proof of corruption by the Bidens. Better have another round of hearings about how bad Trump is for suggesting that their corruption should be investigated. The horror!

The Washington Examiner reported Thursday that Rosemont Capital, a company led by Hunter Biden’s business partners, received $130 million in federal bailout loans while Joe Biden was in office as vice president in 2009.
The Examiner reported:

An investment firm linked to Hunter Biden received over $130 million in federal bailout loans while his father Joe Biden was vice president and routed profits through a subsidiary in the Cayman Islands, according to federal banking and corporate records reviewed by the Washington Examiner.

By the way, those were American taxpayer dollars.
