What that is the face of the franchise does this? Jackson is a diva. His gold teeth display was in poor taste. He doesn't tweet about the team, only himself. I hope the Ravens break the bank by giving him new deal. They will be sorry.
 
Jackson does not seem very bright at all. That was painful to try and read…I needed a secret decoder ring to understand that gibberish.

Jackson definitely needs representation and hopefully for him its not the legal type. Lamar with his woderlic score if 12 and money gold teeth image ( which qb does this? ) fits very nicely with the thug like culture or the Ravens Ray " the " knife " Lewis and Ray Rice. You should hear Jackson speak. It's painfully bad.

Meh all that Jackson will ever win is popularity contests like MVP… he is a basic passer that fails against complex defensive schemes… Watson is a far better QB than Jackson and he isn’t worth that contract he just got… if they surpass it for RB LJ i will be positively giddy lol

Also, in another year or two, the legs will not be the same anymore, and then he will be useless in this league.
 
I'm not sure Jackson has much leverage. Who is gonna pay him Watson money?

I'd tell Jackson that I wouldn't blame him for wanting that kind of money to play in Cleveland , but that Baltimore isn't the clusterfuck Cleveland is.

Agreed with everything however- you can’t deny his MVP status. That’s a huge advantage over Cosby Watson. Plus he is playing or is eligible to play this year. Watson might not sniff the field. Watsons contract did set a bar for the salary for Jackson.
 
Ravens might be smart here. LJ doesn't have an agent. If he did, he wouldn't play this season without a new contract, which is exactly what happened with Baker and the Browns.

instead, they will let him play this year, then let him walk. LJ isn't worth $30M a season, and he isn't worth the QB tag. LJ's only leverage to get paid is right now and threatening not to play if he doesn't get a new contract done before Week 1.
 
This is a very interesting dynamic between the Ravens and Jackson right now. Teams simply don't mess around with franchise QBs when they have them. They're too hard to find and you have to get them locked up. Given how this is lingering you wonder how it's going to play out. Jackson's numbers have been on the decline since his MVP season with fewer TDs, more INTs, and fewer rushing yards per game. We also haven't seen what he can do without a dominant rushing attack, which the Ravens perfectly built their offense around. With that said, he gets a lot of hate but he's still a very talented player who can help you win football games.

If the Rats get into the playoffs with Lamar starting and his stats aren’t bad- when he does walk next year (unless the Rats franchise him) will get paid for sure.
