I remember having this discussion regarding EDGE cap hits vs. QBs. This cements the QBs in a new stratosphere when a guy like Murray is getting $46 million per year. Also, Jackson's asking price just went up because a former MVP isn't going to get less than Kyler Murray.

Don’t get what the big deal is, because Jackson has never shown a consistent ability throw the ball outside the hashes & particularly not downfield.

He’s one injury away from having his running ability compromised. It doesn’t have to be a major injury either, but something similar to Willie Parker dropping from a 10/10 speed to an 8.5/10 speed would prove to be enough to take away the strongest part of his game.

No RB in QB clothing takes a team to a Super Bowl. End of story.

I hear yaz FSF, one way or the other there is not any contract talks going on in returen that will run time down to playing this season without an extended contract. That is all in the favor of the ratbirds.

If Action would get an agent I'm pretty sure there would be movement one way or the other.

Rosenhouse would have this settle by now, nearly any high profile agent including Toby McGuire would have movement on this and NOT leaving Action out there for injury sakes of not having anything Guaranteed or extended.

I want the ratbirds to commit and unpresidented aount of gauranteed money his way and a whole lot of years as well.

Media wants him to be a star, and it’s sickening that they always seem to point to his winning MVP as if it means anything.

He couldn’t throw consistently accurate before “winning” MVP or after “winning” MVP.
And unless you can throw it consistently, you’ll fall short.
It takes more than just a QB throwing accurately, especially now, but you’re just screwed in playoffs without it. Have a perpetual early playoff exit seat next to the Titans with a long term contract to A.J.
 
I'm reading the Kyler Murray contract is the floor of the Lamar Jackson deal. I think this will be a long term demise if the Ravens. You are gonna pay a running back with a big arm who reads half the field 46 million a year. Ok. This should be fun to watch.
 
Local Baltimore radio stations are trying to help us out. Yesterday the talking heads were talking about how LJ is the most obvious choice for league MVP this year. Say that he deserve A. Rodgers $$. He is the face of the NFL and blah blah blah. Let them pay him an insane amount of $$$$.

The most obvious choice. That's brilliant. Let's not play the games. Lamar can be the MVP, the Bucs can win the SB so Brady can sail off champion and we don't have to even play the games. What a joke. The parameters of this contract are there. The fact it isn't done tells me something. Has Jackson won a playoff game. Murray has not. And these guys are flipping to near highest paid in the league. It's ridiculous.
* correction: Jackson is 1-3 in playoffs with abysmal stats. Murray is 0-1 with worse.
