I shoot, maintain and store my firearms with the utmost safety in mind. That being the case, how does either taking away my right to own a firearm or limiting what I can get (and again, don't throw out "bazookas!") keep anyone safer? It is incumbent upon those of you who support taking away or limiting a right to explain that.

I hope your thinking does not only apply to the 2nd Amendment. I wonder if when if when they imagined freedom of religion they realized Islam would be on our shores. I wonder if they could have imagined some of the filth we see in music, movies and on TV. Could they have imagined a press not reporting facts but actively pushing the agenda of one political party over another? I could go on. I just do not think it is fair to pick and choose what area they might change. And in the event, I think you are wrong on the 2nd Amendment and what they would think. What they see an overreaching federal government and realize how important it is for people to at least attempt to defend against that?
