The state of our secondary.

Ark cut the **** Davis sucks. Get with the program already. Stop viewing the play without an agenda and you will clearly see the play like Coach does.

What is funny is that no one disagrees with Coach (or I don't think so, anyway) that Davis needs more work. We may disagree with his reach analysis, but we can still see his flaws and acknowledge a good play when we see one.

Exactly 100% correct. He needs work. He is a rookie

Like please don't use this play to support your reach argument..cmon. Davis made a good play on the ball and was unlucky that's not too hard to say.

What a fair and "blameless" assessment of a new player.

Enough of the logic and reason, more dumbassery please, this is cracking me up.

Ryan Cockrell hypes Steelers practice with two picks of first-team offense

PITTSBURGH -- Ross Cockrell, who cemented the starting cornerback job long ago, had a big Monday at practice.

Cockrell had two interceptions against the Steelers' first-team offense, linebacker Arthur Moats said -- one toward the left sideline, one to the right. He was covering Antonio Brown on one of the plays. Cockrell wasn't by his locker when I swung by there earlier.

The Steelers will enter the season playing Cockrell on the outside with William Gay, who can slide to the slot if Artie Burns develops into a starting role.

Cockrell has coach Mike Tomlin's attention.

"Since last season, he’s done nothing but continue to move upward and onward," Tomlin said. "He’s good above the neck. He’s worked hard in terms fo conditioning his body, getting ready to absorb a [high] number of snaps. I don’t think he anticipated playing 700-plus snaps [last year] and did a heckuva job with it."

Cockrell started for much of last year and finished with 44 tackles, one forced fumble and two interceptions.

Not bad for a guy released by Buffalo almost one year ago.

And lately, he has been making plays in practice.

Cockrell was a guy I liked in the draft process. I mocked him in round three for us. A point to ponder is his upside. He pretty much came in late as a cut player from the Buffalo Bills, picked up the system, and played well.

Now that he has a year in the system, it's possible he's capable even better play.

Dri Archer laughs at your draft evaluations...
