THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED

I'm glad you understand the word.

I have been thinking about this post.

I don't even know what systems they have in place.
We used to be a power running football team. Then for awhile withe the killer bees we were a finesse offense.
Last several years they have been rudderless. What have they been? A team that wants to run the ball but has soft players.

Everyone knows whst they try and do on defense. Hasn't changed in years. We know it, opponents know it. Only ones that don't are some of our own players.

Our coaching staff doesn't seem to think it is a problem. Doesn't matter who is coaching anyway it all looks the same.

Nothing will change until the head coach is gone.

Rant done.

And now the HC seems to be all in on Rodgers.

So once he signs nothing left to do but root for him once he signs…
Or dance in the streets if he announces his retirement (which a guy recently signing representation doesn’t seem to be headed for)

I’ll give the Steelers FO this-
They turned a 6th rounder this year into a 4th and 5th in next year’s comps for getting two rental QBs on the cheap last season that led Shades to another Tomlinship. A net gain as they paste together seasons looking for the answer to Ben.

Now we just need to start taking some shots in the draft to find that answer. Ya gotta think Khan wants a crack or two at bringing in that answer/prospect.

With the draft in Pittsburgh next year it does seem likely the early shot will be taken then since they’ll have the extra 3,4,5 and 6. It definitely allows packaging a 1,2 and 3 to move up while still having several picks behind (as long as they don’t use too many of next year’s picks trying to move up somewhere this year)

It would be kinda storybook to make the big draft move at home and move up to grab that answer (maybe even send Ben out to make the pick)

Ben and Bradshaw. Really get people fired up. The place might explode.

then the first pick will be a LB or something.

Actually, both Terry and Ben get to the podium. They speak in rehearsed team work

“ We can’t stand here without saying that we decided to help out the rudderless HC coach,
with the second overall pick……. We chose QB out of ______________ “

All hell in the Tomlin war-room breaks loose, but the pick stands. The fall out is humongous, Tomlin / Austin / and 1/2 the underling staff get fired. Ben & Terry along with Omar & Wiedl bring in a whole new staff that they had worked on secretively. Art 2 steps up and hands the keys over to young Dan………………… the next 5 consecutive SBs come home and from there, t*mmyb*y is exposed completely while BEN smiles.

I need to know the exact current date today is……

Sometimes when in my Spirit World, time becomes flurried. I need to know if this has actually happened or
if I am relying on my knack of CLAIRVOYANCEY………………………..

4/2/2025. I'm writing all that down.

Tomlin gets banished to Cleveland is about the only thing you left out.

Rudderless is the perfect description.

He had to, I said "you can't be this obtuse" not that long ago to him. Probably had it favorited so he could use it as his own, original content.
Thinking your vocabulary is superior to mine, priceless. Now that's f----- hilarious if anything ever was. LOL. Yea, I have to borrow words from you. Good one. Oh, that is just too rich.

So it was just a coincidence that I used the word, directed towards you in a question form, and then you use it (wrongly I might add) just a day or two later? You thinking you know more of ANYTHING is the hilarious part. You are often a day late and dollar short on anything "breaking" that you post. You skim responses before you respond yourself, setting yourself up for the abuse that you take by simply not reading the entire response. You're lazy in your posts, responses, and even your insults. As pointed out by another poster once before, YOU are a running joke on the board...

Someone has to show you how to use it properly.

Llyod isn't used properly.

We need him to infiltrate another team's message board................... but not report back unless we notify him to. He can collect intel.

I nominate BLITZ, I think he has the extended time and patience to over come the learning curve involved.

It might be that we don’t have a “system” right now… noll came in here and he’d played on multiple championships with Paul brown coached on multiple championship teams with Sid gillman and Don Shula…. He knew what he wanted to do… neither coach tomlin and the gm have any experience at team building both inherited their teams. And both are off to horrible starts. 1) both have egos they don’t deserve! Tomlin gets rid of any coach that over shadows him hence we have the worse coaching staff in football. The gm is showing to be a “not my guy” gm. Drafting mediocre offensive linemen in the 1st rd that suck not once but twice would get u fired on most teams but not the Rooney’s. But I got a hunch the rope is get tighter on him! Noll use to say u can teach blocking you can’t teach 6-3 210 4.3 15 TD catches at lsu. I’d said this is his last draft if he doesn’t get his **** together. wed have one of the of the best young wrs if he had just drafted him! And he’d be on the rookie contract! It was a no brainer! Unless you think you have to prove something to the world like ur the smartest gm in the world!! Look me I’m passing on lsu 6-3 210 4.3!! I’m a mad genius!! Woo hoo!! Guess what? Youre not! I just pray he didn’t doubt down and really f up on the Seattle wr. Time will tell. GO STEELERS!!

Because the offensive game around the league has evolved but Shades refuses or is unable to adapt, so we are where we are.
Basically when his schemes from 15 years ago don't work then he doesn't know what to do.

In the NFL, if you’re standing still……. You are going backwards.

Shades has been standing still for a very long time……………….

It’s like the speech Tomlin gives early each season…if you ain’t improving someone will come along to steal your job, gotta constantly refine your craft in this league blah blah blah…

Unfortunately he does not live by that mantra, and Art definitely doesn’t. Yet another reason for the HC to keep a stable of under qualified coaches as underlings (aka future scape goats).
