This Chilling Image Proves Something Disturbing About What ISIS is Now Capable Of

As ISIS continues to wreak havoc in the Middle East, they’re now employing a much more disturbing tactic to fight their jihad.

The tactic that they have decided on to create further carnage is to use mustard gas.

Rudaw reports:

Test on Friday proved that ISIS has used mustard gas against Kurdish forces over the last two days on the Gwer- Makhmur front, the area’s commander told Rudaw.

“The result of the test revealed they [ISIS] has used mustard gas,” Brigadier General Sirwan Barzani, commanding officer of the infantry division in the area said Friday.

US-based CNN quoted experts as speculating the gas came from old chemical weapons caches in Iraq or Syria that the US was unaware of.

While ISIS has used chlorine gas in previous attacks, this is the first time they have reportedly deployed mustard gas on the battlefield.

If the weapons came from Iraq, it could put the narrative that there were no WMDs in Iraq back on the table.

1. Iraq had WMD's at one point as they used them on the kurds;
2. After Iraq invaded Kuwait and the coalition forced them out, part of the deal of not taking out Sadaam then was weapons inspectors and destruction of remaining WMD's. No proof has been found that all of the WMD's were destroyed nor have any investigators said they found evidence of such.

There were also some intelligence reports that Iraq was attempting to acquire uranium from Niger. Nobody in the Bush administration ever claimed that Iraq had nuclear weapons or were in the process of developing them, they only raised the specter of the possibility if action wasn't taken, given Saddam's refusal to cooperate with international demands.
