But once you understand that "they" is a much larger group of people than you think it is... You'll continue to fail to understand the true depth of political corruption in this country.
Consider this. For EVERY 3 civilian people who publicly profess they are staunch Trump supporters, there is at least one "quiet" Trump supporter who will not publicly show support, but will privately among people he or she knows are like-minded and another who will not profess clear support even then for fear of some degree of reprisal.
The same or worse is true of back-stabbing politicians who pretend to support one side or another while secretly working to the EXACT OPPOSITE result.
I think Mark Lamb may have a better chance out here in the Senate race against the socialist than Kari Lake.
The problem will be recognition in getting to the general election.

yep I live in Alabama which is supposed to be super conservative pro gun ect. they just brought HB23 up which wants to make us purchase a "permit to buy or transport any "assault" style weapon. 100 bucks per rifle per year and 20 bucks for a permit to purchase. If you fail to buy the permit it will be a class C felony.
So two big problems with this bullshit well actually four problems;
First this is nothing but another tax for one of the highest taxed states in the country.
second is if you have to buy a permit to purchase now you essentially have a gun registration
.
third it's not doing one bit of good getting these guns out of the hands of criminals, they don't go to gun stores and they sure as **** don't care about your bullshit law for owning without a permit.
last this is just like covid, lets see how far we can push. if the people don't ***** to bad we can just go ahead and force a mandatory buy back.
with the scope of the bill basically any rifle falls into the "assault weapons" category. Most people in my area think you are a gun novice if you don't own fifty or more firearms. I have one buddy alone that has over 500 guns and half will be taxed a hundred bucks a year per rifle. that's $2500.00 a year not counting any new purchases.
I have contacted every rep in the state Bitching about this bullshit. guess we will see what happens in January.

My goals included moving to a small town that is well off the beaten path. Then, when SHTF hits, I let the cities absorb the first level of problems, while us remote folk organize and prepare.

What happens is that a dumb cackling Commie and Mr. Magoo pull of a stunning upset in November!! The Trump prosecutions continue, and yippee, more gun control! Oh, those weapons of war that no conservative has ever used to harm another human are now illegal, and you need a waiting period to buy ammo, and you cannot buy that many firearms, and you have to pay a fee for every gun you own, and those nasty conservatives will get hunted down for REAL this time!! Wind farms and electric cars, but no electricity, and higher taxes that somehow never lead to better roads or less crime!

Its sad that there are so many people that align with their policy/agenda...and/or are just too uneducated/ignorant to know better..
