Good question... can't believe there isn't one Steeler fan there to stop it.
I would have picked it up and had a few choice words.
I tagged a bunch of Steelers on it in Twitter. Hope one of them sees it.

Unfortunately the curse only kicks in when players or public officials desecrate The Towel

Opposing fans have been stomping on and burning The Towel for decades.
Ernest Byner stomped on The Towel back in 95 before the start of the Browns Steeler playoff game...29-9 final...incidentally Art Model announced the move to Balt the following year. LOL
We all remember Douchemanzada wiping his shoes...Carson Palmer gets his knee busted.
Those Titan players...heavily favored SB contenders lose their remaining games and in the playoffs...resuming the losing streak the following year,
The Mayor of Phoenix wipes his nose with The Towel ...lose the SB because of two incredible plays..James Harrisons int runback for a TD...and the Ben to Holmes TD.
Hope the spirit of The Towel can make an exception this time. These are Pats fans.

The biggest bite yourself in the *** curses have been instigated by players.....Ernest Byner....Ochostinko...TJ Shoebomber.....Lendale White etc..... But opposing teams fans have contributed as well. Specifically the Cardinals mascot and mayor of Phoenix.

I think the Steelers may have "jinxed" themselves back in 2004 when a fan had a sign that read "the curse is reversed"
Maybe just maybe somewhere in this mess the towel/sign negates any negative energy surrounding the Steelers when they play the pats.

There is a thread already on this topic.
Opposing fans for years have desecrated the sacred Towel in one way or another.
The curse only goes into effect if opposing players or other people in the public eye desecrate it such as the mayor of Phoenix.

The Pats have what's coming to them. I'm not sure they'll make it far enough for us to get a rematch this year, but down the line.....that Terrible Towel boomerang will come back to smack them in the face. It always does.
Perhaps the mods can merge the threads, that would be swell.
