Time to offer Munch the HC job

He is done with football. Dreaming is free.

For the love of god.....can we move on past Munch?

They only munch we will see is whatever food is in front of us on GameDay. We will be munching on that while washing it down with a glass of mediocrity. If they can even manage to reach mediocre this season. Talk about a painful swallow.

The ONLY way I’d bring Munch in is if it was a interim job.

At end of season, I’d go the full boat in search for a candidate, vetted through GM’ers ect..

Why limit to just a candidate such as munch as there are probably much better options out there.

Salute the nation

The last year Mike Munchak was a HC was in 2013.
His record over the 3 years he was a HC is 26-22 (That's in what was at the time the worst division in the NFL, the AFC South). He had exactly one winning season (9-7 in 2011). What makes anyone think he would be what is needed as a head coach here?
Nah, when they allow Tomlin to step down/retire/head to the booth, the new guy needs to be a young, energetic, offensive-minded coach who is up to date on today's NFL offenses. Or, a young, energetic, defensive-minded head coach who is bringing along an offensive coordinator who is hungry for a shot at a HC gig.

I was looking Niners HC calls their plays so he is out. The OC in Detroit is doing a solid job he could be a candidate. Already mentioned the Texans OC elsewhere. Miami HC calls his own plays too so he is out. Buffalo's OC could be an option. Chargers OC could be an option too.

I am head coach dreaming.

😁

I mean we all know that ARll is most likely not moving on from Tomlin after "1 losing season". So, if he won't grow a pair, grow at least one and make Tomlin look outside the organization for young, innovative, hungry offensive AND defensive coordinators. And, let him know that this **** has to be modernized.

Yeah I would love that approach. But Tomlin wouldn't do it, and Rooney wouldn't tell him to do it.

They can. If Tomlin has the balls to fire Canada.
News Flash, TOMLIN is the one that brought him back after last year. Tomlin is the one running his defense. Mediocrity Mike...nothing more and nothing less

Tomlin will not hire a DC or OC that may show him up or take his job. The only way we get new coaches is if they are hired from above.

Munch on a 2 year "show me" deal wouldn't be bad. The guy actually played at a high level at the NFL level. He probably would do things differently 2nd time around.

Anyways, none of this is gonna happen.

Guys on WDVE asked how this team would look if Munch and Flores were still here... we'd still have Canaduh around, but....

Munch did wonders as an OL. Coach here that’s for sure but wouldn’t work as a HC.
This organization needs a hard reset. After this season they need to change the entire coaching staff from Tomlin down through his incompetent coordinators and position coaches. They are all bad.
Steelers need to pluck one of these young innovative OC’s with fresh ideas and someone in tune with todays NFL game.
Steelers must change their entire philosophy and get away from this archaic defense wins and gear more towards offense minded.
With a new regime in here we can find out if Kenny is our guy or not. Give Kenny a chance to succeed not fail like he’s being setup for now.

No thanks to Munch. We need an offensive guru as next HC.

How about we just hire a head coaching guru that can bring in an OC Guru and a DC Guru to run the offense and defense. I don't care if you hire a ST Coordinator if he knows how to coach and develop players, can bring in the right coordinators and position coaches, and can earn the respect of the locker room and the players.

I was going to say that's not the Steeler way, but in truth it's not the Tomlin way.

You can officially place me on the fire Tomlin bus, nothing changes until he's gone. And add Deuce to the list as well.
