This is our only hope to bring things back in orderIt is PAST time to call up Munch and offer him the HC gig
Why? He was mediocre as a head coach previously. How about looking beyond people with prior Steeler connections? It is PAST time to call up Munch and offer him the HC gig
I was looking Niners HC calls their plays so he is out. The OC in Detroit is doing a solid job he could be a candidate. Already mentioned the Texans OC elsewhere. Miami HC calls his own plays too so he is out. Buffalo's OC could be an option. Chargers OC could be an option too.The last year Mike Munchak was a HC was in 2013.
His record over the 3 years he was a HC is 26-22 (That's in what was at the time the worst division in the NFL, the AFC South). He had exactly one winning season (9-7 in 2011). What makes anyone think he would be what is needed as a head coach here?
Nah, when they allow Tomlin to step down/retire/head to the booth, the new guy needs to be a young, energetic, offensive-minded coach who is up to date on today's NFL offenses. Or, a young, energetic, defensive-minded head coach who is bringing along an offensive coordinator who is hungry for a shot at a HC gig.
I mean we all know that ARll is most likely not moving on from Tomlin after "1 losing season". So, if he won't grow a pair, grow at least one and make Tomlin look outside the organization for young, innovative, hungry offensive AND defensive coordinators. And, let him know that this **** has to be modernized.I was looking Niners HC calls their plays so he is out. The OC in Detroit is doing a solid job he could be a candidate. I am head coach dreaming.

Yeah I would love that approach. But Tomlin wouldn't do it, and Rooney wouldn't tell him to do it.I mean we all know that ARll is most likely not moving on from Tomlin after "1 losing season". In related news neither is the Steelers as far as achieving anything notable.News Flash. Tomlins not going anywhere.
They can. If Tomlin has the balls to fire Canada. In related news neither is the Steelers as far as achieving anything notable.
You are confident in the DC? You are confident Tomlin would bring in a competent OC? Based on what? They can. If Tomlin has the balls to fire Canada.
News Flash, TOMLIN is the one that brought him back after last year. Tomlin is the one running his defense. Mediocrity Mike...nothing more and nothing lessThey can. If Tomlin has the balls to fire Canada.
You're under the assumption that his replacement would be any more qualified. I know that's hard to imagine, but I think Mikey's up to the task. They can. If Tomlin has the balls to fire Canada.
How about we just hire a head coaching guru that can bring in an OC Guru and a DC Guru to run the offense and defense. I don't care if you hire a ST Coordinator if he knows how to coach and develop players, can bring in the right coordinators and position coaches, and can earn the respect of the locker room and the players. No thanks to Munch. We need an offensive guru as next HC.
I was going to say that's not the Steeler way, but in truth it's not the Tomlin way.How about we just hire a head coaching guru that can bring in an OC Guru and a DC Guru to run the offense and defense.
