We’re all thinking it. Pittsburgh Steelers star linebacker, TJ Watt said it. Well… tweeted a hilarious GIF about it. News broke early Friday morning of former Houston Texans‘ 3x Defensive Player of the Year Award winner, JJ Watt being released after 10 seasons in Houston. This led to his younger brother TJ taking to social […]

From his own mouth, JJ does NOT want a rebuild situation.
So it will be interesting to see what happens with Ben and the rest of our off-season.
Does JJ want to play with his brothers more, or does he want a ring more?

If Ben is still here, we are not rebuilding. The Steelers actually never rebuild. They look to win it every year. If Ben does retire, it will be Rudolph or someone else they draft or bring in but they won't be cutting players and trading players like other teams to stockpile draft picks. That just isn't their way.

The Rooneys/Steelers will never say the word "rebuild".
But whether Ben is here or not, our cap situation and inability to resign some FAs we're going to lose, and our current O-Line and coaching situation isn't painting a beautiful portrait for enticing FAs to think of Pittsburgh as an ideal landing spot for winning a SB.
Playing with his brothers would have to far outweigh winning a ring for JJ.

His brother Derek needs to leave though. That guy was a waste of money.

JJ will be going to KC.

I envision a piece together that includes all three Watts. I think the Piece together is a bad Idea, but TJ and JJ as bookends will at least be entertaining.

Derek was injured and then not used when healthy. Remember he was actually brought here for his special teams play and not as a FB.

While sitting around doing a Subway commercial, JT probably told JJ that subway needs to hire Tomlin to promote a meat substitute sandwich called The Fraud.

not his fault the Steelers don't use a FB...he did play well on special teams

That's a of of money for a guy to play ST. I realize they didn't use him much as a FB. We'll find out his worth next season. He might be another Conner always injured.
