TJ Watt Wants Brother JJ Watt to Land in Pittsburgh after Release from Houston

Not to make excuses but there has been some seriously bad injury luck involved on some of these.

Definitely agree but do you really think injury is what caused the late season decline last season even the Ben-less season................ COACHING was arguably the number one cause, bar none.

JJ either wants to play with his brothers or win a ring or both. If his number one priority is playing with his brothers then he'll sign with Pitt soon. If it's a ring then he shouldn't sign anywhere until just before camps open when you can see what the rosters will be.

He is a luxury add to this team... he would be great insurance to a dlinemen going down, but he isn’t going to displace Tuitt or Heyward. He isn’t a NT... he can play some olb in run stopping situations but he isn’t going to drop into coverage...

If we had cap space and fewer holes great... but if its just about getting a three watt circus atvthe cost of other positions ... like Dan Rooney said with Deion... they aren’t in the carnival business

Make it happen. JJ would play rejuvenated with his bro in battle with him.
A rejuvenated JJ and a DPOY snubbed pissed off TJ. Add in Cam, idk if Bud comes back, but if he does.

The defense would be scary

Menu
1. DPOY ripp off w/ sauerkraut

2. Special FB Team w/ pastrami on rye

3. DPOY Transfer extra fries

I'd order all three and un-sweet tea w/no ICE.......... because I'm watching my girlish figure.

JJ Watt would look great in black&gold. So get Ben's money numbers way down, let some guys go, invest in the OL,a RB and go for it!

Inject the coaches with some Sun Tzu & Patton DNA and we're good to go.

No. This team will win enough games to make the playoffs then have a first-round exit like always. Ben isn't going to be able to sustain a high level of play for a full season and long playoff run. They aren't going to go from maybe the worst rushing team in the league to one that can help carry either Ben or Mason in November and December. Unless Highsmith takes a big step forward, the defense isn't going to be better without a consistent pass rushing threat opposite of Watt.

Next year they will be lucky to go 8-8 and keep Shades' "Never A Losing Season" record intact.
We don't need TJ here because 1) salary cap and 2) he wants a championship which ain't happening here any time soon and 3) we don't need a DE since neither of ours is going anywhere.
We need RB's, OL's, and LB's a lot more. DL isn't one of our problem areas.
Makes sense to me that TJ would go to the Packers or Bills.

Next year is as good a shot as they will have for what may be a long time. Getting that next great Steelers qb is rare. We have had 2 in my lifetime. They may as well go all in.

The Steelers will enter next year as the third best team in the division and have an absolutely brutal road schedule. They do not have a chance at a title next year.

This is a good point even if the steelers are better next year their schedule is brutal at least on paper. Just depends how much JJ wants to play w/ his bro vs $$ or champ. Also our Dline collapsed in the Browns game so JJ would help there. If the Steelers can get their line to even just average they can make a run.

Actually that's the best situation for them to win. They do ****** with cakewalks. It all starts with the lines on both sides of the ball. They have the talent defensively to do it. They need some more muscle and leadership defensively on the D. Get a new C and some OL who can run block. Can they do it? Sure. Will they? Hell if I know. Now scheme is something I'm not so sure of. That's really the million dollar question.

I suppose just wishful thinking on my part, but it's nice to dream. I didn't think we had a shot in hell in 2005 either, so dreams sometimes come true.

man I remember 2005 differently. I thought after 2004, Bens rookie year afc Championshipn15-1 etc 2005 was our year. it took us awhile to get there but we did

Well it wasn't looking good on the season. They had to basically win the rest of their games. Which started with that awesome snow game vs the Bears. Then on the road 3 games as a wildcard. I was sold on going to the superbowl after beating Manning and the Colts. The refs still tried to **** us on the Troy int, which would have sealed the game long before the Bettis fumble. I knew we wouldn't lose to Denver after that.

2005 they started off good. I remember Parker ripping off some runs against the Titans.
It wasn’t until Ben went down in San Diego the season took a down turn. Ben comes back on monday night football against the colts and we get smacked. But after that something clicked. I credit Porter for the rally and the game vs the bears brought some much needed mojo

They will be lucky to go 8-8 next season. My prediction is that Shades' "Never A Losing Record" record falls by the wayside and if we're lucky the team won't give him an extension.

Your prediction is already flawed. ARII has already stated that Tomlin's extension will get done; most likely this Summer

The NFL loves a good story. If we get the Watt trio we will be the darlings of the league for a year. We will get calls like we haven't seen in awhile. Ben's last season and the Watts brothers.

Maybe we'll get a real bye week next season???

Godell isn't going to suddenly favor the STEELERS, pipe dream. he hates BEN and the fact they voted unanimusly against him. Adding an overpriced WATT to the mix isn't going to change his mind. I think the best we could hope for is exactly what Bermuda said, a scheduled bye week.

Even in my SPIRIT World I can see this.

The only way J.J. Watt is coming to Heinz Field is in the visiting team's locker room.

The standard is the standard. An over-.500 record and first round playoff losses are apparently the new standard.

You edited this, and still have TJ...
