Tomlin admits he lives in his fears

Reminds me of another joke.

Wanna hear it here it go:

Bam Morris, Tim Worley, and Justin Strzelczyk walk into a bar…

which one is sober?

The bar, I’d go into detail but that would be a weighty discussion ……………..

Salute the nation

Idk Zona! Art II is pretty steadfast in his belief of Tomlin. I hope you’re right and the fan outburst against Tomlin has been overwhelming.
We shall see how this unfolds Saturday night in Baltimore. If the Steelers manage to pull it off or lose but it’s a close game then forget about it. Art will consider it a successful season.
But, if we lose by getting blown out like the previous four playoff games, it could irritate Art II to mandate some firings. Namely Terrell Austin and Pat Meyer.
I think that’s all we can expect from Rooney at this point since he won’t move on from Tomlin.
I think he wants Tomlin to break Noll’s record and that should happen next season with another trademark non losing season. He’s pretty close!

Of course.
(Was that Shades or really Josh Pray?)

The Steelers were so good though on offense that they turned the ball over a league-leading 52X give or take in 1979 and still won the Super Bowl. Imagine if Tomlin had coached one of those teams into the ground and told Terry to avoid the MOF?

Shades is on another level with his OCD control freak philosophy at this point bordering on mental illness since Ben hurt his arm. He really seems to believe he can suffocate offensive life enough every week that he's going to emerge victorious.

Is Rooney even paying attention?
Weekend at Rooney’s

I can only assume he’s dead and being used as a puppet by Tomlin cronies to keep Mike in charge at this point…it’s literally the most sensical explanation

Won't do much good unless they take away Shades' ability to hire.
Todd Haley redux: "Mike, we're hiring so-and-so as DC and you don't say **** to him except 'good morning'."

WTF does what Tomlin said make any ******* sense. Geez! Does this guy ever listen to himself?
He’s got to be the biggest hypocrite and phony in this league. That’s all he does is live in his fears.
I’m so pissed off at Art at this point for allowing this crap to continue for this long.
The extension was totally undeserved and should not have been given. If we lose Saturday that’s eight years and counting with no playoff win. Look back at who they beat in the playoffs in 2016. A backup in Miami and Alex Jones in KC on all FGs.
I've been calling Mediocre a fraud for years now. What more can you make out of "We don't live in our fears?" It's all they do, under Fraudlin's coaching. It's precisely what they do. It's his entire model of coaching, it's what they do 1ST AND FOREMOST.

He said "component" not once but twice in that bunch of mush. It's literally his favorite word. He knows the fanbase is sick of him. He won't have many excuses left if Baltimore dominates us. New England moved on after one year...... The walls are cosing in.

Alex Jones used to play qb for the Chiefs?! Well hell, no wonder they drafted Mahomes!!

I pulled out my Kamala Harris Word Salad Translator and it told me basically that Tomlin believes in running on first and second down, shortening the game, limiting the possessions, keeping timeouts in his pocket, and striving to win 16-15 every week style points be damned.
Weird. Mine just said
"I'm talking now. Mmkay? This is MY time."

Steelers have purposely sabotaged their offense for as long as I can remember.

To me the Steelers are victims of their own success. the whole 3 coach deal since 1623 or whatever is part of it.
but the other part is having the identity of defense 1st. it worked from the 70s until 10 year ago. the NFL has changed. wether it FF, lawsuits for head injury, whatever, it is all about offense now.

they have to change with the times and so far have not.
The Steelers are victims of ****** ownership decisions about a coaching staff and its leader who have a losing record in the only season that counts, and have gone winless in that season for maybe 9 years now......

"We dont live in our fears" only applies when he decides to take an illogical gamble...

We live in our fears on offense until we are desperate, and on D we crap our pants with super basic zones every 3 rd abd long
What it really means is I'm about to do something epically stupid like a fake punt inside (or close to) my own red zone, or going for it on 4th down(again close to RZ) in a game that just started and is nowhere out of hand.

The top 6 rushing teams in the NFL all made the playoffs. The problem isn't running the ball. You have to run it well, which the Steelers do not.
They don't, watch a team that does, it doesn''t look like our disaster at all.

I still have hope that if enough fans and media that is finally coming around, the Deuce will realize that it's time.
The problem with the media is crap like this...they tell you he's the problem, but preface it by saying he shouldn't be fired! Then what do you do? Shannon is the most honest and points out what I and others have said; that Tomlin is McCarthy...except McCarthy beat Tomlin in a Super Bowl, yet McCarthy is seemingly always on the hot seat and Tomlin is untouchable. It's all in the first few minutes of this video.

Firstly, I'm happy the Pittsburgh media asked him a direct question with the facts of 4th most rushing attempts and 26th in yards to initiate Coach Tomlin's response.

Man, did Mike ever **** up.

What was known inside the team facility was merely speculated outside of it, until now. Now the media has the sound bite and can, with certainty, hold these lousy performances against him. Not just local media, all media. They can build a narrative and loudly pin it directly on his forehead.

If the Steelers go into Balitmore and get blown out, Mike will officially be on the hot seat. No, he won't be fired because it doesn't make business sense to pay Mike the remainder of his contract while he coaches somewhere else. That isn't good business, Art II knows this. However, Mike will not be extended after this contract is up. The smart play is to have his successor on staff the final year of the contract (OC hopefully) and simply allow Mike to gracefully step down. But does Art II have the balls to do what his father did with Todd Haley usurping Mike's authority and directly hire the OC/DC that could replace him?

That is the real question in my mind.

If they don't win in Baltimore, they should shitcan him on the sideline the second the gameclock hits 00.

That soft zone is so chicken ****. They may as well start blitzing again if they're going to keep running that trash.
Teams are putting layers of protection to slow down Watt. And the Steelers do nothing to counter anything being done to them. And if they don't counter Watt, the ball is gone in 2 seconds flat.

Just like Moore in the last game. There's never a plan B. Hell,it looks like they don't plan at all.

It gets tiring watching other teams look like a professional well oiled machine on both sides of the ball, and the Steelers look like they don't even practice.
