Tomlin rips O line

Tomlins fingerprints are all over this. The coach that never had a losing season.
 
Not sure how it's possible but the O-line doesn't look like it has gotten any better since last year. We brought in 2 new guys that seem to have done nothing. Green is even more undersized at G than he was at C. Dotson can't stay healthy. And, Moore doesn't look like he got better. In fact, he may look worse. WTF happened? Khan needs to be on the phone looking at the cutdowns tomorrow and for a potential legit starter to trade for. This O-line is an embarrassment. They can't run block or protect the passer.

It looks to me as though they've gotten worse from the first preseason game to the last.

Pat Meyer was a garbage OL coach the last couple years where he held the same post with the Panthers…they were absolutely abysmal and improved as soon as he left…he is a crap coach teaching garbage technique to players that don’t match

5 sumo wrestlers would be a better fit

I’m starting to think Canada might not be the worst coach on our staff anymore…the only way that he could get out of the cellar was to bring in Pat Meyer, great hire Mikey

Hopefully he doesn’t last as long as Kleimm did.
 
While I know it's a pipe dream, Khan should have Munch on speed dial. Back up the Brinks truck and pay him whatever he wants.

All the current o-line and coaching staff will do this year is increase alcohol sales.

I have been surprised that Tomlin hasn’t started 5 WR, 2 TE & 3 RB along with 1 QB. He seems to not care about OL, so why even have them?

Okorafor was a third round pick in 2018, so I'm guessing that's who you meant.

That was green failing to land the correct leverage punch… like a bunch of people breaking down our play say, if he does the correct one, he does fine, but of he doesn’t he os instantly beaten because he doesn’t have leverage to recover

Also i think this flat footed line scheme is bullshit, but that’s just me i guess..
 
It's sad. The team I root for has a terrible OL. It's been this way for years now, and looks like it will continue. Can someone put some sunshine on this?
 
I want to explain one thing right now… The narrative that Green is too small to play guard is rubbish… it stems from a moronic Bleacherreport scouting report that just got all of his metrics wrong.

The nfl.com pre draft scouting measurements of him list him as 6’4, 315 and with 32.5 inch arms. That makes him about average in every one of those metrics… a half inch short in his arm length from an average guard… The reports that he was 6’1 and 305 was just a fabrication…

His issues are all technical..he simply doesn’t play with great leverage and i think he reacts slowly…

Same or different scheme last year, Green was beaten the same way too often without laying a hand on a player. It's become very apparent he needed to be a long-term development player (2-3 seasons on the bench) before being on the field or he just isn't very good.

Yes he was in no way ready to play… he really needs to either get better or get stashed on the PS
 
Serious question. Last year we hired some coach from DIII North Carolina Tobacco and Steel University or something. I criticized it and was ridiculed. Some said "give him time this is how coaches come up."

Is he...or anyone...making a difference? We spent the offseason buying OL. It looks as abysmal as usual. Where is this cat and what has he done? Serious question.

Cuz our OLine sucks.

The OL coach is crap to this point, if it takes this long to learn your blocking tactic it's a **** tactic. These OL guys are not that stupid and they are all athletic so why is this tactic so ****-ing hard to learn???

I can't believe Munchack hasn't been called but maybe he has and declined due to knowing it's a no win situation stink-fest OC nightmare scheme.
