Tomlin says Gilbert will start at RT.

this game is a perfect time to use a unbalanced line play Adams in Speath's spot as 2nd te in twin te 2 wr sets.
Torrey Smith has been a Steeler killer and Cortez should not be on him start Gay on him for the hieght and speed Gay loses he can make up with his crafty vet in your face tight d, put Mccain on Smith Sr and Cortez on Jones Press, Troy should be a LB/S to shut Forsett and Mccullers should play atleast 20 of the D reps, to clogg the middle command a double team, so Shazier and Timmons can hit Forsett with clean lanes.
Might want to try 2-3-6
DT Heyward DT Mclendon
OLB Worlids LB Polamalu OLB Moats/Harrison
CB Gay CB Mccain LB/S Shazier FS Mitchell S/CB Blake

so Shazier and Polamalu are switching positions? Really?

Well then, by all means, let's get the guy back in there against the team he stank against. After coming off an injury, he should be much better.

The point is- he improved his play vastly after the Thursday night debacle. Even his PFF (sometimes BS, I know) show that he has been one of our better performing linemen. So its not that Bmore has his number- just that he had a rough start to the season.

Also, the Maddox comparisons are off base. Maddox was a 34 yo QB who was performing terribly. It was always assumed that he was not the long term answer and Ben was the future. His injury only expedited the process.

Timmons kicks to rolb at the edge, Shazier drops into a derrick brooks Tampa 2 MLB and patrols the middle looking to jump floater to Owen Daniels or crossing patterns to Smith SR or Jones, he would line just a few yards behind Troy more like lined in man coverage and then drops back, while Troy reads @ reacts to if it is run if so he flies in to cut the angle or blow up the play, with Troy and Shazier so close to each other both have the speed to blow up stretch plays and get to both Forsett and Flacco, even if you put shazier 7 yds back like in CF to patrol the seem where Daniels is going to be operating he is fast enough to get downhill in a flash.
With Heyward and Mclendon you have the power and agility to not let Forsett on the streach to edge the way the Browns did and rats did wk 2.
with Worlids its a straight blitz off the edge either bulrush swim and Troy acts as a spy if run bursts to the ball if pass BLITZ up the A gap, Timmons read @ react, Shazier is 6"2 220 and runs a 4.3.6, sure we can try him in different roles in sub packages, it is just a thought.

2-3-6 psycho
De Heyward DT Mclendon OLB Worlids MLB Polamalu OLB Timmons LB/S Shazier CB Gay CB Mccain S Mitchell S Blake
Shazier you can decide off the initial formation if he drops or moves in or out or kicks out to play Daniels man coverage.

And Timmons is off the field.

big miscue fixed it, cant have the signal caller not in, esp with this package used to disguise where Troy @ Shazier will be and what they are going to do, LT would have to call the play off the pre snap formation look he sees.

We need Adams to keep getting reps even asa extra blocker so he can improve his footwork and get more motivated to push for the LT job next summer.

I would like to see Adams in the game from time to time in an unbalanced line and at tight end. Let him go in motion and help with Suggs aka chicklet teeph and or Dummerville
