I've been basically offline for over a week. Had a massive 3 day project I was consumed with and am now on vacation. I got a few minutes to check into the threads and saw this. With little time, I've read a few posts only in this thread.

Gotta say Justin, I'm a bit disappointed in the slant of the OP.

I agree things have gotten heated. I agree they could be toned down.

I disagree that this should have begun as a "poor Tibs thread" and for everyone to lay off of him. I'm sick and tired of the double standard that exists between Left and Right in the real world. Now here too? Liberals are allowed to call names and to insult without repercussion. We see the media do this. For 8+ years, every time any Red member hated an Obama policy, Tibor, Elf, Trog were quick to throw around labels like Racist, Islamaphobe, Homophobe, or personal slurs.

Tibs has called me plenty of names and labeled me (like above) countless times...more than any other liberal poster here.

Like I said, I have been on vaca and not paying attention to the board for 10 days and my post was a reaction to your original post. It reads like you're offering favor to Tibs. That was just my take on how it came across.

Elfie is a different creature entirely. He constantly tells us how smart he is and how stupid we are. I started correcting his grammar - every mistake, no matter how small, every time - just to tweak his "genius" ***. That was years ago. He become a whiny little *****, and I had to remind him of his claims to genius, at which point he denied such claims, after which I linked his posts where he professed his genius. I enjoyed that sequence.
