Are we one impact player away from #7?
In my humble opinion, the answer to that riddle is no.
But do we have a nice foundation and back on the ascent?
I think the answer to that is yes.
Our D-Line is aging and in need of an influx of youth.
Our O-Line needs upgrades across the board and isn't doing our high investment QB and RB any favors.
We're weak at ILB and maybe a little look towards our secondary.
We can do nothing and take 4 players in the top 80, or 5 players in the top 120.
You can wipe your collective arses with the two 7s.
I'd actually use those throwaways to try and move up from 120 as much as possible.
We can fill in any depth with FAs after the draft and over the summer.
But five lottery tickets in the top 120 which, by all accounts, is rather deep at our positions of need ( OL, DL, Secondary )?
Yes please.
I think this would set us up nicely not necessarily for this year, but the next couple.
Back to perennial powerhouses.
