more problems Speath could miss this game, good news Deebo likely back, IKe we rather see sit but a perfect fit to play Bowe, just jam him.

It is being said that Wil Allen will start, I hope just in the base, vs KC we have seen all Alex Smith can do is throw screens to Charles, it will be important Shazier see's more PT than Spence and that in the nickel and dime Blake is lined back at SS, he ius fast DB that can run with Charles, Will Allen will be better to patrol CF and be the 11th man the box.

If Speath can't play I wonder do they activate Blanchflower?, I would instead with the injury report above saying Gilbert was a full participant in practice, he should start and we should use a unbalanced line on the backside to contain Houston.

set to operate starting drives, in the 1st qtr early 2 wr 2 te 1 rb
WR Brown WR Wheaton TE Miller TE Adams on where ever Justin lines up.
Once Ben gets in a groove then the no huddle and then use Bell vs a LB and then bring in #10.

so, doubtful to play is the same. as likely to sit? got it.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Hard to jam when you play 15 yds off the receiver.

He means Ike can use some "jam" to sooth the "burn" he will be receiving from being "toasted"

troy's ... dead?

RIP, Polly Malu

Totally meaningless. I think the D might be better when he's not on the field - less guessing, less blown coverages. Hell, he can't really even cover anyone any longer. Those gray hairs tell the story.

Troy is definitely not playing this week, maybe not even the week after. His knee is banged up. Hopefully he's back healthy for the playoffs. Wouldn't want to see his career end with him sitting.

Love all TP has done for us, let's squeak in the playoffs make a run at 7 then hopefully his wife can talk him into retiring this offseason so we don't have to choke on that extension we gave him.

I'm afraid when I heard Troy and Ike were doubtful I felt we had a better chance to win

go with the young legs

Where's Shamarko? Allen looked horrible in the Jets game against a washed up Vic.

Kind of sad thinking we might of watched Troy play his last football game last week.. :(

I was hoping he would go out coming off one of his classic performances...

Maybe not...

How do we not "choke on that extension" if there is dead money it is still dead money.

No, it is my understanding the only thing that goes away is the salary the signing bonus stays and is amortized the next year. Don't know his contract specifically but they tend to be signing bonus heavy and salary light in many cases.

Shamarko has been so horrible that he has been demoted in favor Will Allen and relegated to nothing but Special Teams duty for the entire season.

It took Chris Hope three seasons to become a solid starter playing behind Ronnie Lott clones in Lee Flowers, Mike Logan and Brent Alexander. Polamalu arrived by his second season, but was totally lost as a rookie.

I'm not as confident in Thomas developing into a good defender as I was when he was drafted, but we keep hearing about how complicated the Steelers defense is, and Thomas is such an explosive athlete that I'm willing to give him another year to figure it out before totally giving up on him.

Shamarko when healthy has the capability to nothing more than bob sanders, we should consider drafting a whiten the first 2 rounds, I know CB is a huge need, but from what I have seen from McCain and Blake, plus we have BW Webb on the PS and can likely re-sign him cheap a former 4th rnd pick at 5"10 190 4.4, should develop into at least a good nickel CB, I would bring Gay back for 1 or 2 years to mentor Cortez , Hawthorne and likely the 1st CB we take.

Taylor retires or leaves, Troy most likely retires, there are 4 S's I would consider from to take in rnd 1 Landon Collins Bama 6"0 222 4.6, Gerod Holliman**, S, Louisville 6"2 213 4.6
Jalen Mills 6"1 198 4.48 Karl Joseph*, S, West Virginia 5"10 198 4.58

All projected as of now rnd 1 to early 2, now I have just read the scouting reports from walter and Collins and Holliman look better as FS and have been said and stated by Walterfootball not good coverage S, if Mills declares he has the speed to cover TE's and slot wr's a high demand today's pass happy nfl, If Karl Joseph declares said to be very similar to Ravens SS Matt Elam would be a perfect fit, hits well and good enough to play back there, 104 tackles, 2 intc, 3 FF 6 passes broken up, 1 sack, 7 TFL.

I'm not counting Shamarko out yet but the thing I find troubling is that he played quite a bit as a rookie and seems to...at least in the eyes of the coaching staff..... have regressed from last year. Wonder what the deal is?

If I recall correctly, they were a bit short handed at CB early last season and experimented with Thomas' athleticism at the nickel CB spot with mixed results.

I honestly loved the pick, thinking his lack of height was the only reason he fell to the fourth round, but it's hard to believe it's his height keeping him out of the defense now.

No one on the outside can tell for sure, but it's really giving off a "he just isn't understanding the defense" vibe, which gives me some hope that the light may come on at some point.

I started to become a bit a concerned in the preseason when they decided to rest Polamalu against the Giants, it was Will Allen, not Thomas, who got the start.

Troy will play out his contract, as long as he remains healthy, and retire after the 2016 season at best. At worst, he plays one more season.

I honestly do not know if Troy has another season in him. He's not looking too great and is at the age when a DB can REALLY lose it at any time.

Look at Ed Reed. He was still decent in 2012, but last season, neither the Texans or Jets' coaching staffs could in good conscience put him on the field because he had become such a liability.

I really hope Troy voluntarily moves on after this season. I really would hate to see him risk going through the professional embarrassment Reed went through last year by hanging on a year too long.

yeah, but Ed Reed was like 89 years old.

Troys legs are like, 92 - and he has about mid-range LB speed now, so they play him as one...all the time he spends up on the line

but when we need a deep SAFETY to stop the pass, we got nothing
