Trubisky!

Lol, we saw what Rodgers wanted with his public posturing. The Steelers weren't going to work a deal for that.
He got 150 because of the spot the Pack was in...does not mean he would not have taken less to play here. Maybe it was completely out of the question, then Wilson was a more palatable option...they didn't even try... it's PATHETIC..absolutely pathetic.

The whole idea of the " bridge QB" is just that...a stupid idea. You don't know that Trubisky will play better than what he has so far, and you don't know that you will find a QB in the draft on the other side of that bridge that will pan out.

You get a proven commodity that with this defense can win it all....before said defense breaks up.

Having said that you can win it all with an average QB, but you need a great, great defense. And bringing in Myles Jack ain't that... that's why I said they have no intentions of seriously making a run at a Lombardi. They have telegraphed that.

Unless something changed, the last time a "reported" list for Wilson came out the Steelers weren't on it. They were never in it because he didn't want them to be.

So the only thing the Steelers could have done is mortgage a ton of **** to go after one QB who is maybe a year or two from retirement, or another QB entering his early to mid 30s, and if they didn't they are pathetic? 🤣 Gtfoh, simply because a team isn't willing to mortgage their entire future on older QBs or a QB with off field issues doesn't mean they aren't trying.

Look I hope I'm completely wrong and MT turns out to be the second coming of Joe Montana, I just don't see any evidence to believe that.

What future? The 20+ years of ****** football between passing on Marino and the drafting of Ben would like an answer....

What defense? If they sell the farm for Wilson there wouldn't be money available for bringing a couple of CBs or SS. Let's not even start with the Offensive Offensive line (that wasn't a typo), there wouldn't be draft picks to shore up the needs either. Also the donkeys picks were more valuable than the Steelers so the ransom would have to be even bigger than what they paid.

We get Wilson with that Oline and you have an injured QB by game 6.

Well at least the name will better fit the era.

We had the Stoudt, Malone, Brister, ODonnell, Tomczak, Stewart era.

Can't have mediocrity 2.0 starting with Rudolph for Christ sakes. :ROFLMAO:

I thought you were suggesting that Mike Tomlin be the next great spokesman for Skechers or something. Need to designate Trubisky as Trubisky or MitchT or Mitch or Biscuit or something other than MT.

Hey I may have reacted out of emotion more than anything. I don't know the numbers like some of the cap gurus here, I was just hoping they could pull a miracle and bring a big name in while TJ is in his prime and Heyward and Minkah are still on the team. Calling the team pathetic was going overboard on my part....I just hope Trubisky is able to overachieve in his time here.

Yep. Mitch T. sounds good.

I like it, Tom Brady wouldn't have saved the Bears. Big upgrade from Mason. Mitch never had any weapons in Chicago, plus he's use to a below average run game.
And he has weapons in Pittsburgh?

Claypool had a VERY rough sophomore season. Johnson regressed at the end of the year, JuJu is likely gone. Muth showed promise, but let's face it, he's a TE in Pittsburgh. Our RB is most likely going to be beat half to death by hits in the backfield behind what may be one of the 5 worst lines in pro football. Canada hasn't shown the ability to coach his way out of a wet paper bag and Tomlin told Myles Jack to come to Pittsburgh to play for CHAMPIONSHIPS!

I hope Trubisky overachieves and proves all of us wrong....Bears fans are not inspiring me though.....

"As a Bears fan let me say this, Trubisky was never helped by the system in Chicago. That being said he's a game manager, at best he can help the team win but they will never win because of him."

Ouch......

What you need to remember is 8-8 or 9-8 and getting bounced in wildcard is championship football for Tomlin.

I agree 100%, Johnson, Claypool and Harris are never gonna be the killer B's, but they are a big upgrade over the garbage he's had in chicago. Allen Robinson and Jordan Howard are both bordeline bums.

LOL. Claypool has not sniffed 1000 yards in a season yet and 2 whole career TDs playing with a future HOF QB and Robinson is a bum posting several 1000 yard seasons and way more TD production with subpar QB play.

You're right Claypool isn't really an upgrade, they both suck.

Wilson’s entertainer wife likely wanted to stay west coast.

Oh I remember her as Rita in Dexter. That was the first time I had seen her. She was pretty sexy, sure met a tragic horrible ending on that show.

Hard to say what weapons Trib will have a month before the draft. Check back a month after the draft for a more accurate assessment.

But I think we can agree he has a DJ and Najee. Muth scores enough rookie TDs to add to the list. Claypool might be added to the list -that is a wait and see.

So for now he has 3.

Not sure if Canada will handcuff the O but that will be a wait and see too. Not too confident in him but for some reason the FO wanted to give him another shake.

Name the last great Bears QB. The fact he made a pro bowl in Chicago a hotbed of bad QB play gives me hope, if Canada pulls his head out of his ***, otherwise it won't matter who is QB. Bears don't know **** about QB's.

Don't forget we have Gunner! I am sure he will be released on the offense in all his glory.
