Trump - Make America Great Again!

Status
Not open for further replies.
Trump will win the nomination, I don't think there's any doubt about it now.

This is a huge upsetting of the apple cart that's for sure. In that sense it may be a good thing. May be the thing that spurs a true viable third party...not in this election though, it's too late for that

Screw the GOP. In this election, a vote for Trump is a vote for America. A vote for Hillary is anti-American.

Hmmm. I should sell t-shirts with that slogan.

I thought a vote for Trump was a vote for the poorly educated, whom he just "loves".

So I said this on Twitchy's Facebook page:

"And Mitt lost to the worst President in modern history and ran a lousy campaign (I worked on it, I know this) so I don't think what Mitt thinks matters. Loser."

And got 449 Likes in the first hour.

Obama was the worst president in history.... So let me see if I have this right. During the previous administration, we saw the worst attack on American soul in terms of loss of life since Pearl Harbor. We went into Iraq for reasons that turned out to be complete bullshit which led to over 4 thousand dead American troops.... x 10 wounded. It also destabilized the region which ultimately led to a group like ISIS being able to grab a foothold. And, as if that weren't enough, the economy went into a tailspin that would have put us into another Great Depression that forced the taxpayers to have to write a trillion dollar check to bailout some of the wealthiest men in the country. We also got to enjoy gasoline prices north of 4 bucks a gallon for the first time in history. He was so bad his own brother didn't want him out there stumping for him during his failed bid for the office. This makes sense because I saw many times during Jeb's run where he was put in the tough spot of trying to distance himself from all of his brother's **** ups without throwing him under the bus in the process. But Obama is the worst president ever.... Gotcha...

So you think Bush could have and should have prevented that attack? Source?

False. Utter bunk. We went into Iraq for a myriad of reasons, including but not limited to:

  • Iraq had already been found guilty of material breach of its obligations under the Gulf War peace treaty, stretching back over 16 previous resolutions and 12 years.
  • Iraq had refused weapons inspections over the preceding 4 years, in violation of the treaty.
  • Iraq had shot at planes flying over the nation, in violation of the treaty.
  • Iraq had violated the no-fly zones regarding the Kurds.
  • Bush wanted to set up a legitimate, democratic government in the area, as a way to fight the spread of religious zealots.
  • The UN approved resolution 1441, giving Iraq one last chance to permit the necessary inspections.
  • The United States senate and house voted on and approved of the invasion (unlike Bammy's repeated, unauthorized use of force)

It also destabilized the region which ultimately led to a group like ISIS being able to grab a foothold.

Nope, your boy Bammy is responsible for ISIS and the failed states in Libya and Syria. He refused to follow the advice of U.S. generals that at least 20,000 troops should remain in Iraq; he bombed Libya (without Congressional approval) and is responsible for Quadaffi being dead and ISIS thriving in the region; he refused to do anything to slow down the ISIS build-up in Syria.

For four years, the Obama administration has engaged in what Frederic Hof, former special adviser for transition in Syria, calls a “pantomime of outrage.” Four years of strongly worded protests, and urgent meetings and calls for negotiation — the whole drama a sickening substitute for useful action. People talking and talking to drown out the voice of their own conscience. And blaming. In 2013, President Obama lectured the U.N. Security Council for having “demonstrated no inclination to act at all.” Psychological projection on a global stage.

When Obama pulled all U.S. troops out of Iraq, critics worried there would be instability; none envisioned the emergence of a full-blown terrorist state. When he announced in August 2011 that “the time has come for President Assad to step aside,” critics worried the words might prove empty — but few imagined the extent of the catastrophe: not just the savagery of chemical weapons and “barrel bombs,” but also the Islamic State’s recruitment of thousands of foreign fighters, its spread from Libya to Afghanistan, the danger to the U.S. homeland that has alarmed U.S. intelligence officials, the refugees destabilizing Europe.

President Obama attacked Libya in 2011 without congressional authority, and then shirked any responsibility to help stabilize the country after deposing its dictator.

The last American commander in Iraq recommended to the Obama administration that 23,000 U.S. troops remain to cement the victory, but no deal was ever reached with Baghdad, and all combat forces went home.

Nope. Bush's economies >>> Bammy's economies:

Let's start with the Bush tax cuts vs. Bammy's "stimulus." Tax cuts drive up the deficit and debt, right? RIGHT? Not so much:

Okay, how about unemployment? Or home ownership? Or middle class income? Obamanomics rules, right? Yeah, not so much:

We also got to enjoy gasoline prices north of 4 bucks a gallon for the first time in history. But Obama is the worst president ever.... Gotcha...

You credit BARACK OBAMA with reduced gas prices?!?!?!? Jesus, he thought that European-style $8 per gallon gas was great, and hates fracking - the reason why energy costs have declined - and petroleum use in general.

Holy crap, if your closing argument is that "Obama helped lower gas price," then you know you are in trouble.

The White House on Thursday proposed a wave of clean transportation investments that would be paid for through a $10-per-barrel fee on oil.

I get so tired of "We ONLY went into Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction."

That is such a revisionist history of events in 2001-2002 that has been promoted by anti-war and anti-Bush forces in the main stream media for a decade.

Again... The media seems to expect me to get upset when Trump says something uncouth but I'm supposed to just overlook years of spin-media and outright lies to the American people by our government and the media that panders to them.

Americans are finally looking through the bait-and-switch bullshit the media loves to play on us.

there hasn't been a ***** slap like that since Mike Tyson hit Robin Givens

Later today the establishment is rolling out douchy Mitt to attack Trump in a panic move to try and derail him. I think it will make him stronger. It's more proof that Trump is the answer to the corrupt establishment. **** the GOPe.

Also, they're stacking the audience against Trump for tonight's debate on Fox News. The Romneys were involved with ticket distribution.

The GOP better watch their step....they have already lost me with the last budget but any further BS with regards to Trump and the convention WILL fracture the party in two.

Trump just released his health care reform plan. You people who say he doesn't detail anything should check out his website. Also why the F would he detail his foreign policy on ISIS and how he would beat them? That's just giving them a heads up to prepare.

HEALTHCARE REFORM TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

Since March of 2010, the American people have had to suffer under the incredible economic burden of the Affordable Care Act—Obamacare. This legislation, passed by totally partisan votes in the House and Senate and signed into law by the most divisive and partisan President in American history, has tragically but predictably resulted in runaway costs, websites that don’t work, greater rationing of care, higher premiums, less competition and fewer choices. Obamacare has raised the economic uncertainty of every single person residing in this country. As it appears Obamacare is certain to collapse of its own weight, the damage done by the Democrats and President Obama, and abetted by the Supreme Court, will be difficult to repair unless the next President and a Republican congress lead the effort to bring much-needed free market reforms to the healthcare industry.

But none of these positive reforms can be accomplished without Obamacare repeal. On day one of the Trump Administration, we will ask Congress to immediately deliver a full repeal of Obamacare.

However, it is not enough to simply repeal this terrible legislation. We will work with Congress to make sure we have a series of reforms ready for implementation that follow free market principles and that will restore economic freedom and certainty to everyone in this country. By following free market principles and working together to create sound public policy that will broaden healthcare access, make healthcare more affordable and improve the quality of the care available to all Americans.

Any reform effort must begin with Congress. Since Obamacare became law, conservative Republicans have been offering reforms that can be delivered individually or as part of more comprehensive reform efforts. In the remaining sections of this policy paper, several reforms will be offered that should be considered by Congress so that on the first day of the Trump Administration, we can start the process of restoring faith in government and economic liberty to the people.

Congress must act. Our elected representatives in the House and Senate must:

Completely repeal Obamacare. Our elected representatives must eliminate the individual mandate. No person should be required to buy insurance unless he or she wants to.
Modify existing law that inhibits the sale of health insurance across state lines. As long as the plan purchased complies with state requirements, any vendor ought to be able to offer insurance in any state. By allowing full competition in this market, insurance costs will go down and consumer satisfaction will go up.
Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system. Businesses are allowed to take these deductions so why wouldn’t Congress allow individuals the same exemptions? As we allow the free market to provide insurance coverage opportunities to companies and individuals, we must also make sure that no one slips through the cracks simply because they cannot afford insurance. We must review basic options for Medicaid and work with states to ensure that those who want healthcare coverage can have it.
Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Contributions into HSAs should be tax-free and should be allowed to accumulate. These accounts would become part of the estate of the individual and could be passed on to heirs without fear of any death penalty. These plans should be particularly attractive to young people who are healthy and can afford high-deductible insurance plans. These funds can be used by any member of a family without penalty. The flexibility and security provided by HSAs will be of great benefit to all who participate.
Require price transparency from all healthcare providers, especially doctors and healthcare organizations like clinics and hospitals. Individuals should be able to shop to find the best prices for procedures, exams or any other medical-related procedure.
Block-grant Medicaid to the states. Nearly every state already offers benefits beyond what is required in the current Medicaid structure. The state governments know their people best and can manage the administration of Medicaid far better without federal overhead. States will have the incentives to seek out and eliminate fraud, waste and abuse to preserve our precious resources.
Remove barriers to entry into free markets for drug providers that offer safe, reliable and cheaper products. Congress will need the courage to step away from the special interests and do what is right for America. Though the pharmaceutical industry is in the private sector, drug companies provide a public service. Allowing consumers access to imported, safe and dependable drugs from overseas will bring more options to consumers.
The reforms outlined above will lower healthcare costs for all Americans. They are simply a place to start. There are other reforms that might be considered if they serve to lower costs, remove uncertainty and provide financial security for all Americans. And we must also take actions in other policy areas to lower healthcare costs and burdens. Enforcing immigration laws, eliminating fraud and waste and energizing our economy will relieve the economic pressures felt by every American. It is the moral responsibility of a nation’s government to do what is best for the people and what is in the interest of securing the future of the nation.

Providing healthcare to illegal immigrants costs us some $11 billion annually. If we were to simply enforce the current immigration laws and restrict the unbridled granting of visas to this country, we could relieve healthcare cost pressures on state and local governments.

To reduce the number of individuals needing access to programs like Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program we will need to install programs that grow the economy and bring capital and jobs back to America. The best social program has always been a job – and taking care of our economy will go a long way towards reducing our dependence on public health programs.

Finally, we need to reform our mental health programs and institutions in this country. Families, without the ability to get the information needed to help those who are ailing, are too often not given the tools to help their loved ones. There are promising reforms being developed in Congress that should receive bi-partisan support.

To reform healthcare in America, we need a President who has the leadership skills, will and courage to engage the American people and convince Congress to do what is best for the country. These straightforward reforms, along with many others I have proposed throughout my campaign, will ensure that together we will Make America Great Again.

Immigrant student threatens Trump, gets deported

An Egyptian immigrant in the U.S. on a student visa is getting deported after making threatening remarks about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

According to the website Egyptian Streets, Emad El-Din Ali Mohamed Nasr El Sayed, was arrested three weeks ago after police say he posted a death threat against Trump on Facebook.

“I am willing to kill Donald Trump and serve a life sentence,” El Sayed said on Facebook. “[T]he whole world would thank me for doing that.”

It may or may not have been serious, but in any case it appears likely to cost El Sayed. He was arrested by local police Feb. 12.

Authorities apparently based the revocation of his visa not on the threats, but on evidence that he had recently ended his enrollment at Universal Air Academy, a flight school in Los Angeles that he was attending.

The kicker is this guy was attending a Los Angeles area flight school!
...that’s right. Where is Homeland Security?

I wonder if he skipped his landing classes

That war was sold to the American people by claiming that it wasn't a matter of if but when Saddam and Al-Qaeda were going to tag team the U.S. They tapped into the post 9-11 fear that gripped the nation. You say the left is guilty of revisionist history? What utter nonsense. Again, this war was supported by the people because Bush and Cheney made it perfectly clear that Al-Qaeda and Saddam were in kahoots and it was just a matter of time before they attacked us using Sadamm's WMD's unless we went in there and took him out. Cheney saw the opportunity to funnel tens of billions of dollars in no-bid government contracts to the company from which he had just left ( I'm sure he still owned a **** ton of stock however) in order to take the VP job. How disgusting of a human being does one have to be to send young men and women off to die....not to mention the thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians that were sure to perish in the event of such a massive invasion...just to line the pockets of you and your fellow shareholders. In defense of Bush, I believe Cheney was the one actually running the country during The Decider's administration. No way the powers that be in the Republican establishment would let somebody that ******' dumb actually run the show.

Preach on Romney, truer words never spoken!

Romney excoriates Trump, says he's led nation to 'abyss'
http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/271626-romney-gives-voice-to-anti-trump-movement

Mitt Romney on Thursday joined the growing movement of conservatives seeking to stop Donald Trump’s march to the Republican presidential nomination, excoriating the front-running candidate as a “fraud” who is “playing the American people for suckers.”
