Trump: Clinton must retract ‘deplorables’ remark or end campaign

Speaking at the National Guard Association’s yearly conference in Baltimore, Trump cast Clinton as an elitist whose remarks belie a deep-seated disdain for ordinary Americans.

Trump said Clinton must fully retract her comments or drop out of the race.

“The disdain that Hillary Clinton expressed for millions of decent Americans disqualifies her from public service,” Trump said. “You cannot run for president if you have such contempt in your heart for the American voter"

LOL, that's rich.

Donald Trump: 50% of the country "sits back and says we don't have to do anything"
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/...ts-back-and-says-we-don-t-have-to-do-anything

Yes, he did. Nice article by David Corn detailing Trump’s 47% moment.

During a June 2015 interview with Fox New’s Sean Hannity, Donald Trump said 50 percent of Americans sit back and don't do anything.

Trump basically called 50 percent of Americans deadbeats.

m.motherjones.com/...

I would create incentives for people to work. People don't have an incentive. They make more money by sitting there doing nothing than they make if they have a job. We have to create incentives that they actually do much better by working. Right now they have a disincentive. They have an incentive not to work.

The problem we have right now—we have a society that sits back and says we don't have to do anything. Eventually, the 50 percent cannot carry—and it's unfair to them—but cannot carry the other 50 percent.

His comment, not surprisingly, didn't cause a stir. He's been spraying a fire hose of outrageous remarks since he entered the presidential race, and this one got lost in the wash. It's also a statement fully in sync with his arrogant schtick that divides the world into winners and losers. Though he's now blasting Romney for the original 47 percent insult to Americans, Trump, too, apparently views many Americans as parasites. The only difference is that his estimate is higher.

If the mainstream media actually believed in doing the hard work of real journalism, comments like these by Trump would be front and center. Instead, they are obsessed with Press Conferences and grading Trump on a curve.

What we have here folks is a failure to communicate. The Libs are now after the Hillary folks like a hobo on a ham sammich.

One ally described the string of events that culminated in Clinton leaving a Sept. 11 memorial early as a “self-inflicted f---ing nightmare.”

David Axelrod, who served as a senior adviser to President Obama, slapped Clinton and the campaign for unnecessarily withholding information from the public.

“Antibiotics can take care of pneumonia,” Axelrod wrote on Twitter. “What’s the cure for an unhealthy penchant for privacy that repeatedly creates unnecessary problems?"

A second ally said Clinton and her team probably wanted to withhold that she’d been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday so that conservatives who have been raising questions about her health wouldn’t have ammunition. “Why couldn't the campaign just have been aboveboard about this?” a second ally questioned. “She got sick — tell people she’s sick and move on. I know they thought it would give the right wingers something to pounce on but who cares?”

“They should have been more transparent,” one confidant said, adding that it is a “chronic problem of lack of trust in the media” that leads to the secrecy, but which has also hurt Clinton with voters.

Polls have repeatedly found that a large number of voters do not trust Clinton or find her honest.

I heard the Clinton campaign is going to launch a new approach ... something about personally insuring "shovel-ready" jobs:

I just don't understand how anyone can vote for a democrat right now.

We are at a tipping point for our country. Not something so dire as war or economic collapse (those are all overblown) but the basic ability to have conservatism and to restrained government even be an option anymore (and I fully admit we might have passed the edge already).

The problem with checks and balances now in our federal government is that all those "checks" are now left-leaning. The DOJ. The IRS. The media. Because everything inside the beltway has decided to "feed on itself" they realize, inherently, that big government, liberal government is self-benefiting. No "department" in the federal government anymore is right-leaning. Even the FBI and CIA are more liberal than ever with self-interest and large budgets the deciding factor in all decisions.

Four more years of democratic rule will just entrench the "big government" side of the equation forever. And we know now they are mostly left the but the pseudo-right have been complicit as well, going way back to the Bush presidency and their use of the War on Terror to grow government in the Rumsfeld/Chaney image.

The only chance to re-establish a checks and balance system is to elect someone Washington doesn't want or like. Then we'll see the balances designed in our Constitution come back. Then we'll see the DOJ and IRS and EPA act independent of their "left-leaning", self-preservation doctrine.

It really is our only hope. As much as people worry about what Trump will do to our foreign relations (and I think they are grossly overblown), the real war is here at home. A war to prevent the fat cats in Washington from abusing the Constitution. A war to prevent the DOJ and IRS and EPA from continuing to be political pawns of a growing Executive Branch power-grab. A war to prevent Congress from becoming a gateway job into the mega-wealthy world of lobbyists and "advisers" and Super-Pac controllers. And maybe getting the media to report on these things impartially rather than reap the financial success to stay quiet and deflect attention to the superfluous.

The country really is a mess. It's not going to ruin us. It's not going to cause the end of the world. But it WILL take power away from the people, slowly but surely, if the federal government continues to get bigger and bigger and bigger. It will be too big to fail. And too many will be attached to it's poisonous tit.

For all the liberal "power to the people" rhetoric, their love of big government is the exact opposite of power to the people.

oh boy, is this gonna be fun or what?

David Axelrod, President Barack Obama’s former chief campaign strategist, rips Hillary

It's not just privacy, the Clintons are simply unable to tell the truth about ANYTHING, no matter how small and irrelevant.

LOL, that's rich.

It's also totally accurate. Romney's mistake was being intimidated by the media and apologizing instead of having some stones.

I just don't understand how anyone can vote for a democrat right now.

Simple. Virtually all the school teachers and college professors. All unionized government workers. Minimum of 85% of blacks. Most immigrants, both legal and ill. Anyone else whose check comes from the government.

Just left the US Cellular Center in Asheville to see Trump. 10,000 people ion the most liberal city ion the South. Trump was on fire about the deplorable thing. Rudy Guiliani was there, got the crowd fired up, He said he al;ways knew Hiltlery hated us but was shocked she was stupid enough to actually say it

Can the DNC just pick Biden and he is automatically qualified to be on every state ballot? Pretty sure Kaine can step up as the candidate, but aren't there state rules for getting new candidates on the ballot, and haven't all those deadlines passed? Early voting starts in a few weeks.

The DNC can make Biden their nominee if Hildebeast steps down but I believe they would still have to get a minimum number of signatures on petitions in each state to get him on the ballot and that would have to be done no later than 30 days before the election. The number of signatures required varies by state. Of course when you're a Democrat if 5000 of the signatures are in the same handwriting with the same pen and the same address that would be perfectly fine.

Has Bernie announced yet that he was switching back from Independent back to Democrat?

Clinton team avoided ER to conceal details of her medical treatment

Hillary Clinton was headed to an emergency room following her frightening collapse at the Sept. 11 memorial ceremony — but detoured to daughter Chelsea Clinton’s apartment to keep details of her medical treatment under wraps,....a campaign operative decided to change course to avoid having Clinton seen by doctors, nurses and other medical workers who could leak details to reporters

This health thing with Hillary is now going to be huge. But, the one thing that will take Trump down will be his taxes. I can see it now. He releases them and didn't pay very much in taxes - which is perfectly legal. Everyone and their brother tries everything and anything to pay as little taxes as possible and rich people are no different. But, with Trump, the main stream media arm of the Democratic party will be all over it like you have never seen. They won't even cover Hillary for anything. All they do now is run 100 negative articles on Trump to maybe 1 for Hillary. If this pops up, I don't know if Trump can withstand how the media will blow it way out of proportion.

My one thought and maybe a suggestion for Trump would be for him to include a list of his top 10 or top 100 charitable donations he has done without claiming them on his taxes. He is constantly helping people with hundreds of thousands of dollars and he does it anonymously. When he does that, he can't put it on his taxes. Many people have already vouched for him in that regard even though he didn't ask them to - one being Rudy Giuliani. He gave a ton to NYC since 9-11. But, that is just my suggestion and still something the media will ignore. If he didn't pay at least 20% in taxes, they will blow it out of proportion. My guess is he paid less than 10%.

Military Veteran To America: Skip The Thanks & Just Vote For Hillary
http://bipartisanreport.com/2016/09...skip-the-thanks-just-vote-for-hillary-letter/

As one of the roughly 22 million Americans who served, or are serving, in the nation's military, I always appreciate when people tell me, "Thank you for your service." My response is always, "You're welcome," and other than the occasional department store discount or free round of drinks, I've never sought to exploit my veteran status to garner any special favors.

This year is different. We are two months away from electing a new commander in chief.

One of our options includes a man who has glibly spoken about using nuclear weapons in Europe and the Middle East and seems unconcerned about nuclear proliferation by other countries simply because it is "going to happen anyway;" who fails to comprehend the deterrent effect of U.S. troops in South Korea against increasingly belligerent threats by North Korea; who would allow NATO member states on Russia's western border to fall to Kremlin aggressions unless they "pay up;" and who has denigrated the family of an Army captain killed in action while serving his country.

This is a mercurial man who will have almost unchecked authority to put uniformed men and women in harm's way, but whose understanding of foreign affairs and military strategy is based almost solely on his instincts rather than analysis.

I served under many commanders. Some were leaders in name only, but most deserved the title by demonstrating core leadership principles, regardless of any stress or hardship, and didn't resort to primitive and distracting antics like belligerent shouting or chest thumping. They led by example, invited collaboration, analyzed conflicting positions and took responsibility for the decisions that ultimately fell to them to make.

When successes occurred, they praised their teams. And when events turned against them, they took responsibility and didn't blame others or make excuses.

Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower drafted a letter on the eve of D-Day which was to be released in the event the invasion failed. He wrote: "If any blame attaches to the attempt, it is mine alone." We of course know that the Allied Forces succeeded after storming Normandy's beaches and Gen. Eisenhower praised the efforts of his teams, from the generals to the privates.

It's inconceivable that Donald Trump would take such a position, either by acknowledging his team for a success (this is the man who claimed "I alone can fix it!" in his nomination acceptance speech), or solely taking blame for a failure.

Trump is no Eisenhower. He's more like the fictional Captain Queeg played by Humphrey Bogart in "The Caine Mutiny" -- paranoid, erratic, condescending and ultimately incompetent. There are many other apt analogies, but each is equally frightening when thinking of Trump directing the deployment of our military to today's ambiguous front lines, perhaps just to prove that he can.

There are many things to consider when heading to the polls in November. One of those is who should command the nearly 2.2 million members of our active and reserve military forces; who should be the elected leader with the authority to put their lives in jeopardy to protect American interests against evolving threats around the world.

Will we elect a man who, without offering any clarity, boasts that he "will be so good at the military, your head will spin," as if his high school graduation from a military academy validates that claim, and hopes that the electorate will simply trust that will be so? Whose behavior and public comments cause a collective group of 50 foreign policy experts, most of whom are from the Republican Party and have at one time sat in the White House Situation Room and contemplated the implications -- and repercussions -- of deploying our military, to publicly denounce him and the security and foreign policy positions he has proposed?

Polls show that the answer will be "No." But the election is still several months away.

We have an alternative to the embarrassment that is Donald Trump, a candidate who, though not flawless, has actual experience and demonstrated pragmatism, is known and respected by military and civilian leaders in America and abroad and is capable of decisiveness and restraint as the situation requires. I'm with her.

This Election Day, please thank me for my service by voting for Hillary Clinton as our president and commander in chief.

Trump and Ivanka are going to roll out his childcare / maternity leave policy.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/09/13/ivanka-donald-trump-roll-new-childcare-maternity-leave-policy-moms-pennsylvania/

“This does underscore a major contrast between our campaign and Hillary Clinton’s—you heard Mr. Trump talk about it last night at his rally in North Carolina: Mrs. Clinton doesn’t have a single original idea or a fresh concept about anything,” a senior Trump aide tells reporters. “Nobody knows why she’s running except that she feels like she’s entitled to be president and beyond that I guess she owes a lot of people a lot of favors. But in terms of helping the American people, you couldn’t name one reason.”

Trump, on the other hand, has laid out a series of detailed policy platforms he says are designed to help all Americans. In recent weeks, the GOP nominee for president has presented ideas on foreign policy, trade policy, immigration policy, education policy, tax policy and military policy. In suburban Philadelphia, Trump will roll out a policy plan designed to help middle and working class mothers better afford childcare.

Uhhhh, no. He is a New York resident, pays state taxes, and is at the top rate of 39% for Federal taxes. He pays a ****-ton of taxes.

I believe that the concern is that his charitable donations are not "x" percent of his income, and the fact that he deducts mortgage payments on a ton of homes. Not a good look for a Presidential candidate.
