Not sure how I feel about this one. I mean, if you are using race to accept or deny college admissions ONLY in the name of diversity, then it is wrong, wrong, wrong. And using the Justice department to issue "guidance" to skirt making laws is just as wrong. However, racial discrimination in college admissions probably exists (I don't know for sure, I don't work in college admissions nor do I know anyone who works in college admissions), so there has to be something that prevents that, and I think affirmative action laws should cover that. But again, I don't know. I guess I need more information, so I will research and see what I can learn. Just thought this to be an interesting topic for discussion.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Martin Luther King, Jr.
We could we use this man now. When he marched there were American flags everywhere. Of course, Dr. King was a Republican.
Dr. King is correct. Judge an applicant by his or her character and performance, not by the color of their skin, gender or ethnicity.
If a private fund wants to pay for a certain group of people, that's fine, just don't give them admission over another person.
The Higher education world is a place where professors get away harassment, conservative or religious students’ needs to keep their mouths shut, or risk a lower grade, and the left plays racial politics with the voters.
I hope one day a student sues for having his or her political or religious freedom threated by a college professor, and the Supreme Court sets these smug professors straight.
