Tuitt Retired

Dude took 9 million and quit. Nothing more nothing less.

Less than 1/2 of what little chest stole and yet several here want little chest back..............................

Steffon Tuitt is moving on, time for his "Life's work" to happy sailing to him. Good luck and thanks for the memories.

If the Steelers were doing this, it would have been pretty obvious the chances of him coming back at all were very low. If they saw this and still did nothing then Rooney, Tomlin and Colbert need to be held fully accountable for the situation as they did nothing about it for this coming season. They are just hoping some of their mid to late-round picks are going to pan out. Pointing the finger squarely at Tomlin, Colbert, and Rooney should be expected. And, no, drafting Leal was not in hopes of him taking Tuitt's spot this year. Leal is still a project. We can hope to get some backup reps out of him this year but not much more. I guess we'll find out a little more when we hear these guys talk about Tuitt, if they even will. Everything we've heard points to the team and even his closest friends on the team turning the other way and ignoring the fact he didn't show any signs of wanting to play again.
I say we remove Colbert's General Manager responsibilities from him.

And little chest was a thief also.

I just said it was not the same situation
?

You said: "Tuitt does the same and it is like he spit on some people's mothers."

Well he owes nothing to no one, yet some feel like he stole money from their own pocket. The FO gave him a chance to return, he couldn't. End of story, no need to get pissed off on him.

And just as I said regarding Kuechly, many players now retire young while still under contract. It doesn't matter what happened last year, he did have an ankle injury too apparently.

If people want to be pissed at someone it should be at the FO for not bringing a vet DT in free agency, or maybe they know of how improved Loudermilk is and how Wormley stepped up his game and with Alualu return they feel that's enough.

For sure money wasnt an issue if the wanted ro bring a vet, there's a lot of things they could have done to free up some cap space, yet they didn't feel the need to do it. We shall see if it blows in their faces just as it happened with the DeCastro situation, or not and they will look like geniuses.

Yep for me it is this. Poor planning. There is no vet DE that is a steady run defender. The two newbies have potential but for now that is all it is. This just feels like last year when they didn't pursue a T. Thing is they didn't have the cap roadblocking them this year. Sure Alualu might help the Dline but even that is a question mark. On if he will return to form or stay healthy.

I hear what you are saying and I definately didn't like how little chest ended things here. The front office cjose to buy their way out of him. He made it so miserable that they paid to get rid of him.

Definately a thief amongst many other things such as trade tampering and more. I' glad he is gone and would not want him back under any circumstances.

Obviously Tuitt didn't steal money from anyone, but some feel like he took advantage of the Steelers. Which he most certainly did. It isn't that he couldn't return, he didn't want to, or simply chose not to, and he still got paid for not playing. That's what bothers people.

I guess we'll have to disagree about the difference between one guy playing 96% of his team's snaps with concussion and ankle issues, versus another guy playing 0% of his team's snaps and opting not to return to his team later in the season. It does matter, and it tells me everything I need to know about the situation and the player himself.
