Keep him if he wants to stay. Once those franchises are gone it is a while to see that again...I think he is hanging it up. What do you guys think we should do with him?

Why are you wishing DJ on them?He is scheduled to make 40 million dollars and it costs 24 for the Packers to have him not play. What do you figure? That might be the team we could fleece for DJ. They need immediate help at Wr.
With a young guy like Moore, I'm worried the Steelers will get caught up in his potential and be satisfied with him as the starter once again in 2023. I was hoping for a big step forward and instead we got marginal growth. Double the penalties this year than as a rookie and allowed 7 sacks two straight seasons. Though, I would gladly take an athletic guard (Faneca/DeCastro) over an elite tackle. I don't think we have any of those in this draft.I think Moore is the problem at LT. I think he is depth and maybe a swing guy. He gets turnstiles once a game AND takes a penalty. Chuks is good enough. Your LT needs to have real talent.
Chukes isn't a good run blocker. For me he is just a guy. Both of our tackles IMO aren't quite what a fan hopes for. But Moore is young enough to improve still we'll see. But until then all for bringing in competition by hook or crook.I think Moore is the problem at LT. I think he is depth and maybe a swing guy. He gets turnstiles once a game AND takes a penalty. We are losing Lazard I know that. Why are you wishing DJ on them?
I would love DJ. He’s pretty good.He is scheduled to make 40 million dollars and it costs 24 for the Packers to have him not play. What do you figure? That might be the team we could fleece for DJ. They need immediate help at Wr.
How do you feel about a WR going four steps forward and two steps back?I would love DJ. He’s pretty good.
Well not very good lol.How do you feel about a WR going four steps forward and two steps back?
We've recently manned the RT spot with guys who came in the league as UFAs (Hubbard, Feiler) who held that position pretty solidly... not all pro, but serviceable. Maybe we can wait until post-draft UFA signings to see if we can get another one to compete w/Chuks. We'll see if our scouting dept. can find a diamond in the rough. I think we should invest high draft stock in the LT, however.Chukes isn't a good run blocker. For me he is just a guy. Both of our tackles IMO aren't quite what a fan hopes for. Sometimes four steps back then two steps forwardHow do you feel about a WR going four steps forward and two steps back?
what actions from DJ? did I miss something?Sutton, Kazee, Edmunds, Larry O and Gentry are my absolute top priorities. If DJ is gone as his actions today seem to indicate I add on one or two of the receivers to prove it deals.
If we had to spend that kind of money just in 2023 to have him backup both tackles if I can live with that if a high pick takes the LT spot and Moore beats him out at RT. Over pay him one year to solidify both tackle positions and move on in 2024.Yeah I was saying if he loses his starting position, which easily could happen, he just makes too much to be a backup.. i don’t think they would cut him… there is a shortage of linemen so they do have value… but they wouldn’t move him until they knew they had viable healthy starters in place…

plus his tweet prior to unfollowing the Steelers on Instagram. about something big coming or something like that. Probably nothing but more drama. He threatened to murder Matt Canada, or somebody pointed out he does not follow the Steelers on Instagram.
One of those two, I forget which. I'm hoping the first so we can keep him.
People read too much into those things.. at the end of the week he will release his own brand of cologne or something silly like that… “Quickness” by Dionte Johnson… the scent that is guaranteed to drop them where they stand….plus his tweet prior to unfollowing the Steelers on Instagram. about something big coming or something like that. Okorafor had the 8th highest average salary of any right tackle in the league in 2022, at $9.75 million. Only 12 others were higher than $5 mill. His cap hit in 2023 jumps to $13.08 million, with a $4,000,000 roster bonus. Nobody is going to be interested in trading for an average RT who is vastly overpaid. And finally Chuks Okorafor. This move might be unimaginable right now, but it’s logical in the right scenario. First off, teams are in need of olinemen, so he would have mid round vale if we shopped him… but that would have to be during camp for sure…
The scenarios where we may look to do so go like this…
First we add a higher pick OT… preferably a LT… and the guy wins a starting spot, either knocking Moore from LT or Chuks from RT.. either way it’s likely that the staff doesn’t move Moore inside like we want, but rather moves him to RT… he had experience at both LT RT and guard in college…
A second though less likely route is that we add two Tackles in the draft, a LT and RT , and again Chuks ends up the odd man out.. while he would be a great backup option… at a 13 million dollar cap hit, trading him and freeing up 7 million dollars in space would certainly be on the table ..
So what you are saying is we cut chuks, draft skoronski, move Moore to RT and problem solved? Add a C/G in the 3rd or 4th round for depth to compete with Dotson/Cole and we are ready to rumbleOkorafor had the 8th highest average salary of any right tackle in the league in 2022, at $9.75 million. Coolie would be best to answer that question. He'll tell you what you can do with him.I think he is hanging it up. What do you guys think we should do with him?
If we traded him after the bonus hit, we would only save like 3 million but the other team would only be charged 6 million bucks for him…which after this year resets the market, is going to be really fair… we definitely paid him like a lower end LT.
