This is an excellent documentary on the 13th amendment. It was written to free slaves and indentured servitude in this country, but the wording within that law continued to be used to promote systemic racism.
I found it to be very interesting from the historical perspective and how it applies to today's problems with incarceration and police brutality.
Keep in mind, this is not an argument of whites are wrong, or black vs white. This is an argument that our laws continue to oppress, and freed slaves were never given a fair representation, even when they won it by voting and winning elections.
