Does 7 minutes count? Lolbut you said you didn't watch it??
In case any of you were wondering what happened to De'Andre Johnson (was on the EMCC team on Last Chance U) He is one of the qbs on the NJ Generals. They ran the ball something like 24 straight times with him in the game.
The play was so so, the announcers were **** and talking to players during the game was idiotic. the drone shots on kicks ws terrible, the angle might be good if the quality of the cameras was better though
XFL and NFL are getting kinda cozy. That offseason developmental league may happen sooner than we think.A off season league that can potentially take the place of a developmental league is what football needs really… i hope she catches on

I think the NFL owners have no problem supplementing a developmental league. They just don't want to be on the hook for ALL the expenses like they were with the World League.
Yeah I thought that was pretty unbelievable too. Maybe why the game was only attended by family members today.I think if they wanted to play all the games in one city each week they should have rotated them among the league cities. How will they achieve real fans in the home cities with zero home games ? Dumb.
Hard to do much on offense when you hit the back foot and the guy is about to smash you. Blocking was terribleProblem is they have no speed at the WR positions and horrible QBs. That makes the games plodding and lacking in any real excitement. Plus the stupidity of not having the teams play in their own towns makes for a sterile environment.
Can you imagine how small the crowds will be by week 8 in the sweltering Alabama heat without fans having a rooting interest ?
well the issue is it was played in a neutral city. normally games are in one of the teams home markets.....lot more likely to draw fansI'm digging it. I love hearing the calls and the coaching banter pre-snap about the coverages and line reads. Beats watching the ******* Pirate games!
...and football during holidays? How dare they! pffftttt!
obviously playing them all in Birmingham is a money saving thing Likely much more expensive for teams to travel back and forth and getting the use of NRG Stadium (Texans home field) or Rice Stadium (home of the Rice Owls in Houston) or TDECU Stadium (Home of the awesome Houston Cougars) would be more costly than the stadium in Birmingham and the situation would likely be the same in the other "home" citiesI think if they wanted to play all the games in one city each week they should have rotated them among the league cities. I thought I heard somewhere that they were going to have a traditional home/away schedule starting next year.obviously playing them all in Birmingham is a money saving thing Likely much more expensive for teams to travel back and forth and getting the use of NRG Stadium (Texans home field) or Rice Stadium (home of the Rice Owls in Houston) or TDECU Stadium (Home of the awesome Houston Cougars) would be more costly than the stadium in Birmingham and the situation would likely be the same in the other "home" cities

and, its buy one ticket for one game, get to stay for all games that day.10 bucks a ticket. Kids free. Maybe 2000 dollars in gate. Maybe. That ain't gonna work.
I thought about watching the Maulers, just because of the Pittsburgh connection, but it wasn't on here.I can't get it on TV anywhere. Tomorrow is the replay. I might watch.

Saturday, both Fox and NBC had the game on, Sunday nothing. Seems like they're getting off to a bang up start.
This us true. Might be a possible saving grace. Funny part is so much chance for throwing a game in a last chance league like this.Gambling is legal in a lot more places, and the USFL will count on that. Some people will bet on anything. Also, they are saving travel expenses by playing all the games in Birmingham. I guess they are counting on good TV ratings to make money. Seems doubtful. Because Birmingham residents are certainly not going to rush to the stadium to watch Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh on a Monday evening. Playoff games will be in Canton....if the season makes it that far. I am doubtful. And the next year, the XFL is back!
