USFL

We are suppose to take the USFL seriously when they're putting out behind-the-scenes of a guy getting released for something like this?

His logic and his words are much like the guys here in my prison.

If they are offering up Chicken sh!t as Chicken salad, I'd want pizza too.

Horrible. I'm ready to turn the channel. This coach for Pittsburgh doesn't know how to call anything other than run plays. Multiple 3rd and long situations and repeatedly calls for runs. I think they only have 12 passes the whole game thru 4th quarter.

Yeah. The play calling was horrid.

I had to stop watching. I think it was the 3rd or 4th time they had a 3rd and 9+ situation and they ran the ball. I've seen better high school play calling.

Having all the teams play in Birmingham is flat out stupid. The Birmingham Maulers…really?!?!

Why the hell give the teams cities when all games and teams stay in B ham? Seems really stoopid

Beat me to the punch. I was thinking Kirby really didn't learn much from Tomlin about handling players. Seemed staged looked like an SNL skit.

I'm just a JV HC but I know this much. You don't have to treat them all the same but when it comes to team rule enforcement you have to do the same with your starting Q as your last roster guy. Was he not going to listen to the starting Q tell his side of the story? Or is the line cook in the cafeteria who's word matters.

You cannot create tradition. The only thing that would possibly interest me us seeing say a league where players on the fringe of making rosters played together. So maybe one team with say AFC North players on it. Watching a guy and seeing if he could help the Steelers in the fall. A developmental league I guess.
Hey, maybe they could sell snowballs to throw at Cliff Stoudt when the Maulers play the Stallions.

Ah, memories.

well the issue is it was played in a neutral city. normally games are in one of the teams home markets.....lot more likely to draw fans

I did hear there was an hour game delay so that likely thinned out the crowd also
I'm curious if every team has a venue to play in at this point. Just a guess as to why they'd have a single location. Well, that and cost savings from not having to move broadcast equipment around from city to city.

Plus the savings from travel expenses for the team. I doubt any team has a place to play yet. Have to get through this season first.
