Definitely. I’ve watched quite a few Bills games the past few years. Allen thinks he can be Superman every play it seems. I mean,we all know he’s got the arm. But the decision making....not so much. Throwing in triple coverage non stop. Running and plowing into defenders needlessly. I mean you gotta love him and hate him at the same time if he’s your QB. Reminds me of Romo or Farve. Turnovers at big moments. Ben too.
Dorsey got fired because he's basically not Daboll. Daboll transformed Allen from a turnover machine into a quality QB, now that Daboll's been gone for a season and a half, Allen is back to being a turnover machine again. Daboll is a QB whisperer.

100% this. take the cuffs off and lets see what the future holds. there are gonna be some really good QB's in the 2024 draft. unleash KP and see if we need to cut bait now or if he is our QB for the future.
They aren't winning the Super Bowl with this style of offense. I'd be surprised if they could win a playoff game either. If you aren't doing either of those things, then absolutely cut loose and see what you have with Pickett. They're seriously going to be in a bad spot if they screw around again next year. There's no reason to sign a guy unless you think they are truly the answer long-term. Look at the Giants with Daniel Jones. They waited, he flashed a little but in reality he isn't a QB worth a long-term deal. There are others, he's just a a QB who stands out for me.
As far as I can recall, NO assistant coach or coordinator has been fired while under contract since Deuce and Shades have been running the team. Even J. Peezy was suspended until his contract ran out.

His son was/is also a coach or assistant in the league too? Maybe it was during Chin’s tenure and Mr. Rooney was ambassador. The name was Zeirling/Zieler or something.

It's far less than mediocre. The offense under Canada sucks. They haven't gotten 400 yards in a game once during his tenure. NOT ONE TIME. 400? They haven't even gotten to 300 in 5 out of 9 games this season. 333 is their highest total. They are the worst Steelers offense in over 30 years. They are historically bad.We have seen this playout many times before. Art the piece ofwill let Canada play out his contract and not renew it. He did that with Arians, LeBeau, Haley, Butler, and Fichtner. Next year the exact same system will be ran by a new coach under the direction of the head coach. In three years we will not resign him. Next year we will not renew Teryl Austins contract. It is a never changing mediocrity loop we are stuck in.
Interesting thing to note. Tom Moore was the Steelers very first Offensive Coordinator in 1983. There have been 11 OC's since him. You know how many were fired "in-season"? Zero, None, Zilch.
So with the O struggling why not bring Dorsey in to help out on some capacity?

Larry Zierlien inadvertently emailed a porn photo to the entire league instead of to whomever he was intending to send it to… also iirc after he was finally let go, ( because of performance, not that incident) his son ripped arians and tomlin for forcing him into a blocking scheme that didn’t fit then terminating him for it
