Wal Mart Usually Scummy Corp. Does 1 Thing Right by Turning on Christian Fascists

Until the day they die? There's no hope for those poor rural folk??

And apparently no hope for them to ever get a raise or any advancement at Walmart either. They are stuck working there at minimum wage til they die.

The average Walmart assistant manager makes $50,000. The average manager makes $100,000. 77% of store managers started as associates.

so its ok that minimum wage hasn't even come close to the increase in the cost of living for the past 60 yrs, right?

poverty...as long as its not you, who gives a ****.

I have a friend that works at Walmart. She recently got promoted to assistant store manager. She makes a good deal more than minimum wage. A lot of people are poor and work for low wages because they suck at life. If you strive for mediocrity you are only cheating yourself.

I love Walmart. Not because of their merchandise or prices, rather the top notch people watching they offer. It's a modern day freak show.

Yeah, you can tell right away who the democrats are.

In the interest of profits of course not because they were suddenly struck with an epiphany that persuaded them to do the decent thing.

Lol....you mean "obscene" profits, right liberal guy?

Seems Wal- Mart is "evolving" with regards to gaydom. ..however, Wal-Mart still refuses to stock magazines it deems too racy and has strict rules on profanity with regards to the sale of DVD's and CD's....perhaps they'll "evolve" in that area as well.
Or would that be merely in the interest of "obscene" profits too?

Profits or evolving?....typical left wingnut, whatever word suits your argument at the time.

Right. Instead of the owner of the local grocery store and the owner of the local hardware store and the owner of the local sporting goods store and the owner of the local tire store, we have a manager and an assistant manager and 50 employees making minimum wage.

I find that depressing.

So precious how your liberal compassion always trumps logic and reason.

It's above minimum wage btw...so what should an unskilled shelf stocker and cashier be earning in your estimation?

So noble of you that would pay your employees the same amount you pay yourself.
Gee, what a great country this would be if only the Founders believed in a utopia.

Because turning on the French fryer at Burger World should be a lifetime goal?

Yes the Chinese slave workers benefit greatly from Wal Mart. Do they count as "little guys" or is that only for Murricans?
I'm all in favor of banning imports from any country with less worker protection and environmental regulations than we have. Or at least Donald Trump's idea of a 50% tariff on all Chinese goods and increase it 50% every year until they stop manipulating their currency to make their stuff even cheaper.

ok, you understand percentages...what percentage of wally world employees are management?

Translation: the free market works. Go on and say it.

this just in...

quite a few people never achieve their goals in life....not always due to their own actions.

they should struggle at ****...as long as we get ours.

"Greatly" is a relative term depending on which side of the ocean you're on.
If its a matter of eking out a living or death, so yeah to them Wal Mart benefits them greatly.

These same Chinese slave workers that you have so much concern for would be grateful to emigrate here and have the opportunity to work at a Wal-Mart. These same ones would also call you a liberal nut job.

Except that as opposed to many Americans, they wouldn't last long at Wal-Mart, they'd be out seeking to better themselves.

But mostly due to their own actions.

So how much should they get paid?

You are very adamant about this "cause"...must stem from personal experience.

You and the several other compassionate bleeding hearts (you know who you are) on this board should really educate yourselves so that you can put things into perspective.
There are links to support the data so stifle your "right wing" bias whining about the article.

Evidently you're succeeding at being a libtard when you've had your *** handed to you and name calling is all you have left.

We rarely disagree on these things, but here I must.

If the Chinese are manipulating their currency, what are we comparing it with? Obviously the USD.

So then look around the rest of the world, and note that the Remnibi/yuan has held much better value against the greenback than most others over the past year. It would actually seem, to most in the world, that the US has been manipulating its currency to the great benefit of her people so they can profit off the backs of laborers in many foreign lands. This is called US dollar hegemony and understanding this will help individuals across political spectrums understand, even a little bit, why so many people in so many countries really don't like Americans. Have a look.

Forget pejorative judgments and just simply look at currency devaluations and the effects visited on those on the other end. It is just math, and Nixon/Kissinger/Saudis figured it out first, to the huge benefit of every American.

if they dont wanna work at burger slop, yeah.

even if everyone went to college, someone would still need to make our pizza's, stock our shelves, and drive our cabs.

quit looking down on them and thinking they deserve to live in poverty.

especially in a rigged system with an economy based on a fiat currency.

y'all pissed at the wrong people
.

This matters and you are correct.

If by libtard, you mean libertarian, you finally got something right...but lets face facts, libertarian ideals aint happenin anytime soon, so I deal in reality...we're a socialist country that benefits the very wealthy.

Now, did you have an answer about why the minimum wage, that was originally tied to the cost of living, has not kept pace, or were you just gonna be satisfied with insinuations on my personal life, which you have NO idea about?

Judging by what I've seen over the past, I'd say the latter.

libertarian

means very different from

Libertarian, the American political party/idea

speaking off liberal Christian fascists

You Might Not Be Able to Buy Firearms, Ammo From Walmart Soon

Walmart's right to sell firearms and ammunition is being threatened by a lawsuit.

Fox Business Network reporter Adam Shapiro reported on "Fox and Friends First" this morning that a court decision could stop the retail giant from selling guns, which could change the way publicly traded companies do business in the United States.

Shapiro said that Trinity Wall Street Church in New York City owns stock in Walmart.

"The church sued the Walmart when they refused to place a proposal on the shareholder ballot at the annual company meeting," he explained. "That proposal could be interpreted to force Walmart's board of directors to suspend the sale of guns and ammunition."

"People who support gun rights say, the first court ruling allows political activists to push whatever agenda they wish at the corporate level, instead of through state and federal law," he said.

Not the point. The point is Walmart employs a lot of low skilled, inexperienced people and pays them accordingly. Some gain work experience and move on to better things. Some become management at Walmart. Few stick around as sales associates for the long term. They are willing to absorb turnover in favor of keeping labor costs low. The entry level jobs they provide aren't intended to be lifetime careers.

Walmart's business model is to keep costs...and prices...as low as possible. It's just one business model of many. Whole Foods pays people more and buys higher quality merchandise and charges you out the wazoo. There is no reason both of these business models and everything in between can't exist and compete for customers in a free market. There is a place for all of them.

Just pointing out how walmart wipes out a lot of small family owned businesses and opportunity.

I'm sure you could find walmart employees making an hourly wage who used to own their own business.

That's not just Walmart, all big box stores fight that battle in just about every town they enter. The Mom & Pop stores know they are doomed as soon as the grand opening signs go up so they fight tooth and nail to keep them out......and justifiably so. Big box stores can sell items cheaper than the neighborhood stores can buy the same item for and they can still make a profit.

As does the internet. Time marches on. I'm not unsympathetic to the Mom and Pop's. Grew up in that world and it had its charms and benefits......but it's not the present, for better or worse.
