Najee and Warren make a good 1 - 2 punch. One without the other and the other wouldn't be as effective.

Najee has looked alot better the last few games. That 20 yard run through the pile was probably the best run of his career.
But
When you are the first RB taken in the 1st round of a draft who averages 3.9 ypc and the UDFA guy comes in and leads the league in efficiency its not an ideal look if you're Harris.
why don't you ever acknowledge the difference in the usage of the two RBs?
for most of the season Najee was clearly the starter and was being pounded into a line with no holes or hope of positive yardage
Warren would come in on 3rd and long and get runs against a defensive front working to protect the 1st down marker not necessarily the LOS
they are both good RBs
different skill sets
but both bring something to the table on game day

Depot has a great breakdown of Najee's size, strength, quickness, and vision for those of you that can't recognize it watching football games...
The thing that the OC has to realize, whomever he may be… is that there will be games where Najehs brute strength is going to be an asset more than Warrens fast, decisive cuts… and vise versa… so find the best exploit and use it… and if they adjust.. hit em with the other guy
Harris is the only one that you can compare apples to apples. Same team, same coaches, same games.
I like to compare my apples to oranges, sometimes it's just bananas.
Next Gen also says Harris did not face an eight-man box on any of his 16 carries against the Titans. For the season, Harris (17%) and Warren (14.29%) have similar rates of “stacked boxes” for their runs.
Pretend all you want that Warren only gets 3rd down runs from light boxes if it makes you feel better?

They are different backs with different ideal situations to use them in, and should be considered co feature backs, and the hot hand should be ridden. Last week it was Najee and credit to the coaches for rolling with him more
I do think Warren gets some more favorable looks from the defense many times (it’s not just about guys in the box) but I think it’s worth noting Najee’s two best games this year are after big events in his life: calling out Canada and Tomlin announcing the reps would be more split. I think it’s fair to say Warren has been overall better with his opportunities as a whole this year.

Exactly… thats why i think they pick up the option on Harris …..they will be getting two rbs for the price of one for a year
