Obama's Muslim Brotherhood is deeply saddened

Air Force leaders have reversed an Obama administration decision on the A-10 attack plane known as the Warthog.

The previous administration had decided to retire the aircraft, viewing it as an unaffordable extra in what had been a time of tight budgets.

Three years ago the Pentagon proposed scrapping the Warthog fleet as a way of saving $3.5 billion. Congress rejected that idea

The Air Force budget deputy, Maj. Gen. James F. Martin Jr., explains the reversal by saying, "The world has changed."

I'm on board with this decision, but as bad-*** as they are, we need a replacement. If the Air Force's design and procurement system wasn't so fouled up, we would have had one by now.

There is nothing wrong with the procurement system that the Airscouts use. Its doing exactly what they want it to do which is R&D fancy new supersonic fighters. The USAF is really not interested in CAS and they never have been, they want air superiority and tactical deep strike along with strategic bombing and nukes. The best thing would be to give the A10 to the Army so every division could have a 12 plane squadron and field another A1 Skyraider type platform to the Army for CAS.
