The last time the steelers were in this situation, Watt told his agent enough is enough and signed the deal, a deal that made him the highest paid defensive player in the league.The Steelers have always been cheapskates, its well known enough even the former players are comfortable saying it.
Then they break the bank for DK and cry when TJ wants to get paid.
And so far, the only thing the coaches and front office have said, is that negotiations are on going, and that they want to make TJ a one helmet guy.
No one is crying, the team is not cheap (minkah was the highest paid safety, Ben signed a few massive deals, AB got to WR money). Calling a team cheapskates while including a statement about paying a historic deal to a WR they traded for is literally contradicting yourself.
