We are being badly misled about the Ukraine-Russia war

So I have read a couple articles and heard a piece on NPR bitching about us defunding or failing to uphold our treaties to provide security to the Ukraine... they said european countries are now exploring having to bulk up their own defenses because they can no longer trust the Americans to provide it

The numbers I have heard are sickening... europe and its non American allies, only has.... 5% of the defense force and weaponry they need to adequately defend themselves... so the Is was providing 95% of the defense of Europe, mostly on the taxpayers dime... the population of Europe is almost double the population of the US... we can in absolutely no way afford that...

Might explain our debt. It was 36+ trillion last week. I can't understand how even irrational people think that's not a problem.

Trump needs get something, like Greenland, if Russia gets to keep the Donbass and Crimea.

Why should something be forced on the people of another nation, just because the rest of the world gives in to Putin on Ukraine?
its actually the Americans that supported Ukraine with money and arms, far outdistancing the RoW.
If Russia gets to keep the tangible land they acquired through their efforts, the US should get something tangible for their efforts. Since Trump wants Greenland, it has few people and Denmark has done little about Greenland for hundreds of years, it seems like an easy tribute.

None of this is fair, especially given the US role in the 2014 coup in Ukraine and the subsequent actions of the US in breaking the agreements made in the 1990s.

If the US gets Greenland, it's easier later to mollify China by giving them Taiwan, once American chip makers can replace lost production. Then China, the US and lesser Russia all enlarge their countries, and the big powers in the world are happy for a time as the US allocates its forces back towards North America.

You're right. The US of A is one ****** up country. So deeply corrupt it's puppet masters unleashed a plague upon the world. I don't know how things got so bad from around the time of JFK (maybe a lil before) to now but I sure as hell hope as the kid of a WWII soldier and nurse that we can get this **** straightened out soon. If not....Let it go up in flames and start over
