Week 5 Game Night Thread -Steelers Vs Cowboys

Another game the Steelers of old would have put away but the modern Steelers just can't find a way to accidentally win.

Who knows. But I said pregame. You gotta blitz Dak. Can’t let him be comfortable. I would have blitzed. It who knows he might have completed anyway.

Prescott destroys the blitz. It's why teams rarely do it against him.

I am confident of two things.

1. This is Mike Tomlin’s defensive scheme.
2. This is Mike Tomlin’s offensive scheme.

Our OC and DC are there in name only.

Lost back to back games vs crap teams. Yes, Dallas minus Minkah and Lawrence is a crap team.

So ******* sick and tired of this **** show offense.
Maybe they can get another OC for next year.

I wish I had the money to do what it takes to get Rooney shytcanned for abandoning this franchise.

Rex Ryan was saying today that tonight was when JFields was going to take over the league and become a superstar. Thanks Rex. what. a stupid prediction.

But even as bad as Fields has been, he put up 17 points at home. The defense is just paper tigers. Frauds as its being said. Maybe its injuries. I dont know but DAL got its $60M worth tonight getting a road win vs a 3-1 team. Just wish PIT could get what it pays for on defense. That was just atrocious.
They gave up 20 and the offense did them no favors. They were down to their 4th string OLB again. Highsmith is a better run defender and we miss him.

Fire ******* Tomlin. That's all I'm gonna say
it wont happen. Art II just loves him some Tomlin and he wont fire him. MT is making what $12m per year or more? He aint stepping down. Gonna keep the money train rolling.

As bad as Fields and the offense was, they took the lead and handed it to the defense and said "bring it home." And the D gave up 66 yards in just a matter of a couple mins then had to sweat the last 4 yards. This is ALL on the defense even though Fields has regressed OR teams have found a way to neutralize him. He doesnt get the big yards running anymore. Defensive coordinators in the NFL are not stupid--except for PIT's. Nevertheless, they have figured that if they stop Fields from running, then he is simply a mediocre passing QB who misses wide open receivers and when he does see the receiver, he does not throw it where it needs to be thrown. And the DCs figure they can live with that and that is exactly what IND and DAL has done the last two games.

its time for Wilson to show he has what it takes to save our season.

Well that sucked! This defense gets carved up the moment they go against a top notch offense with a great OC.

This offense has no timing to it at all. Does nothing. The defense gave them extra possessions and still 17 whole points.

The Steelers really missed their other two running backs today and it showed.

I cant believe no one is saying the defense lost this game, they are the goats. We had the lead twice and they allowed every series since the first Dallas series to go right down the field. Piss poor tackling, coverage was not good. Yes, we got a block kick, fumble and two interceptions. Big deal when you still did not get off the field with long drives and to many third downs made. Make sure we blame Fields.

Looks like another year of watching an ineffective offense waste a great defense.
It’s called a Mike Tomlin game plan. You can add the defense will be hurt and exhausted by the end of the year because of all the time they spend on the field
