Welcome to Draft day 2025

So if the Steelers keep Pickens, which looks likely, you still want them to possibly use their 3rd round pick on a WR so they have Pickens, Metcalfe, CAIII, Roman Wilson and 2025 3rd round pick? That’s 2 2nds, and 3 3rds invested in WR. They have other needs.
When did I suggest they select a WR???

The browns take Judkins, that's a great pick unfortunately...

When did I suggest they select a WR???
My original point was that the only way I’m OK with drafting a WR is if Pickens gets traded, otherwise I’m good with group because we have Roman Wilson rounding it out.

Will Johnson, once thought to go at 4, is still available...

So my guess is the only way the team trades Pickens is for a second rounder and if they have a deal for Rodgers in place as well as a deal for Rodger's pet receiver Alan Lazard.
We know Smith adores great blocking WRs, and while Pickens is hit or miss as a blocker, Metcalf is one of, if not the, best... Lazard is extremely good too.

Pickens absolutely is the better wr of the two... but Lazard is a better 2wr than Van Jefferson and about the same blocking... which is what this offense seems to crave...
right now the roster looks like:

1. DK Metcalf
2. George Pickens
3. Calvin Austin 3
4. Roman Wilson
5. (ST) Ben Skowronek
6.(Spare/inactive) Scottie Miller

So if they are drafting a wr, it likely wont be till very late. They arent going to trade Pickens and draft a replacement this year. If they deal him, they will add via trade... and Lazard just reworked his deal to be trade friendly...

They also arent going to displace a wr that likely gets a 4th or even a 3rd round comp pick offer on the open market if he leaves in free agency for an equivalent value right now, just to shorthand themselves this season...
