So much of the scheme will be QB dependent. If you have a limited QB then you have to scheme to that. The problem is there are only a few guys that take their QBs and make them better with their scheme. If we can find one of those then that's what I want.
The throwing over the middle etc is what we all want but you need a guy that can do it without consistently giving the ball away.
I wouldn't be surprised if we looked at some of the younger inexperienced guys: Klayton Adams, Adam Stenavich, Hank Fraley all fit the mould of what the Steelers have gone for in the past but none of them have significant (any!) experience as playcallers. But neither did Tomlin or Cowher.
Arthur Smith without Tomlin hovering over the top would be another obvious option, and a much lower risk one.
Should be a fascinating process.
