On the surface I see your point and it is easy to say they are playing well. Obviously a captain obvious if you will. My main point though was why the change, what brought about this change. Just prior to this happening James Harrison comes back to the team, not saying he is responsible just making note of a significant event. Troy comments we need to practice better. Now I do not think those comments or changes brought about a sweeping change.
What I am wondering now is what our coaches did in all this. I am a firm believer in the premise that Tomlin was not qualified to be a head coach and that he has demonstrated so in the past. With that being said this could be a sign of his finally taking the next step and becoming a decent coach. He has still had a few moments in the games but they are becoming moments instead of the normal state of affairs. If he is in fact responsible for getting the team prepared to play finally he is at last developing into the coach we all wanted when we needed a replacement for Cowher. If he can keep this up in the face of the opposition and appears to pass the scrutiny of steelers nation he will finally have arrived in the eyes of the fans. I am hoping for this to be the case as otherwise it means we have a bad coach and will either keep him or have to start the process all over.
