What the hell in going through his mind?

People put alot of blame on Pickett, but i don't think he is the main issue. He has had 3 comeback wins in his young career. Seems like the coaches are not giving him a chance to succeed. Can Pickett do things better? Of course he can, but your gameplan can not be based on 5yrd outs and low percentage back shoulder throws. Now it seems like players are defying the coaches calls which will probably not go over well in meetings. A second year QB should not have to bail coaches out of terrible playcalling.

Unless of course your name is TJ Watt.
Sweet fancy Moses is this guy an unblockable BEAST.
Probably the only thing I've ever agreed with Tomlin on was his quote about TJ being an alien from another planet.
The man is UNREAL.
I read (probably here) if memory serves correctly that we're 1-10 when TJ doesn't play. I'd bet Lamar was looking to his right every time a pass play was called....I know I would.

I hate Tomlin/Canada/Austin just as much as the next guy, but there's a few pet peeves I'm seeing right now.....

For quite some time, EVERY time something bad happens, it's 100% completely on the OC/DC/HC.
And EVERY time something good happens, it's always because the players went rogue, ignored the play called, and were smarter than the coaches and made the right audible/adjustment/etc.

Yes, these three unwiseman all need to go yesterday.

But let's not speculate who did what and who should get credit.
It's always a TEAM effort, either in a win or a loss.
Nobody does it on their own.

You must be new here. Welcome to SN.

The crazy thing is, why are we calling a shotgun play with 3 WR and they are playing cover zero and stacking the box? That's how pathetic our playcalling currently is, they know we won't take any risks.
Except when you take risks, and I hate to say this, you get Harbs and he’s lost 6 of his last 7 to Shades who lives in his fears.

Calling a simple slant, post or go route against cover zero is not harbaughs level of stupid risk

It’s because each of them are too far in each direction… Tomlin is typically too conservative and Harbaugh is going all in on a pair of 2’s…. Its also why both have underperformed in the playoffs… where you are less likely to get teams and coaches that dont take advantage of your buffoonery…

Excellent way to put it.
Post Of The Day.

Not just the Pressure on the D .....can you imagine going out as the Offense and going 3 and out first series once again. No points in first quarter once again etc, etc.
Then the boos starts, the pressure from the media, the fans. It can’t be fun being on the Offense right now.

Good coaching is not about holding a team back. It’s supposed recognize the teams strengths and move forward, exploit. . And coach up the weaknesses. This regime definitely holds us back.
The body language from the players after a 3 an out (insert Fire Canada crowd chant) resembles the reactions when Ben was running this offense.

Tha MILFs of steeler nation? Is that a website?
