What's missing form the offense? Big plays in general.

He doesn't go deep often, but he has made several plays deep. He missed a couple to JuJu in the same game which must be the only game you have watched
Ben has also been ******* perfect of some deep throws. He has put other balls up for the WR to make a play on and beat the DB and they failed.
You must have missed Ben overthrowing deep passes at least 4 times in the Bengals game. At least. Balls where the receiver had already beaten the DB, but had zero chance of making the catch, because the throw was nowhere close.

no I didn't miss it

that is the game I was referring to in my post to coach

I didn't say he was perfect on every deep throw, but he has been perfect on some of them....and sucked *** on those in the bungles game

No, the game you were referring to with the two JuJu overthrows was against Green Bay, not Cincinnati.

Right you are.

That's the thing, Ben's arm strength doesn't seem to be the problem since when he misses he often overthrows, it's his accuracy and/or receivers not running the right routes.

I wasn't even thinking about the miscommunications, and they are also many. I viewed the Cleveland game mostly in a busy Vegas sportsbook, so I'm going to watch it again more closely to see if Ben is showing any improvement. His YPA was much better at 7.8, so that's a good sign. Still too many 3rd down passes being thrown short of the line gain, from what I did see.

He's definitely got the arm strength for sure, and what kills me is the ball is at a receiver's knees or several feet above their head. And then, when it's thrown to the chest, the ball isn't caught. So aggravating.

I do have hope for this season though and I'd rather finish strong than to do what happened last year.

Ben is playing just fine. Quit all the bitching. Take your panties off and iron them, if needed, to get them out of a bunch and put them back on. You should be good to go.

Still curious if Ben's deep throws will improve. In the grand scheme there is many ways to win. Just don't help us lose. Take what the D gives you and keep winning.

I'm I wrong or Gentry was a tall and skinny dude when drafted? Now he is a blocking wall
With how raw he was his development has been a pleasant surprise.

Ben and the offense are improving every game. the young line is starting to assert itself Harris is showing he’s the real deal the receivers are beginning to emerge Ben is trusting in the young te’s over the middle… another 5 game well comeback and be hootin and hollerin about a playoff drive… weve got tallent it’s up to the coaching staff to bring it together… go Steelers!!!

Najee has looked alot better after a rough start, he laid a few eggs to start the season. 3.8 ypc is not what I was hoping for when they drafted him. But I think/hope he continues to get better with each game.

Do you not watch the games...................? At the start of the season he was getting hit 2 yards deep in the backfield. Now he is getting lanes and holes to run to. Our OL is getting better and better. Najee is a true game changer and if you judge him on this season as a whole, by the stats only, then you may be disapointed to date.

Now if you were to judge him while actually watching the games, you'd see what I' talking about. He is truely getting better and better. Hell he got Offensive rookie of the month, if you need some sort of proof.

not crickets.

just people bitching about his earlier mistakes instead of what he has done the last couple of games

That's just it Coolie some need to ***** and have to resort to earlier in the season.

A-N-D

They also think BEN needs to be absolutely perfect in all aspects each and every play. For crying out loud, he beat a #4 ranked defense in their house with referee's open head shot on the STEELERS no calls.

I swear a QBR of 193 (you're right it doesn't exist) still wouldn't be good enough. ****

Imagine that. Ben wasn't accurate with a torn left pec and ****** up hip.

Now that he's getting healthy....crickets....

I agree Cope, crickets in compliments but criticism is rampant.

Football is still a win or lose game.

I'm sorry...here I thought this was a discussion forum. Ben rulz! Better? How big is your Ben doll? Life-size, I bet.

Gee, if Ben was inaccurate because of a torn left pec and a ****** up hip, maybe he shouldn't have been playing at all. I'm glad that he's healthy and playing a bit better, because injured or otherwise, the guy stank the first four games.

You said that the only game Ben had overthrows was the JuJu game, the only one Coach must have watched. You were wrong.

Ben rulz. Take off your panties and iron them, how dare you question if Ben can improve on his deep throws?

nowhere did I say that was the only game. I may have said that was the only game coach watched but I did not say it was the only one with bad deep balls by Ben

You're wrong Colonel Sanders

Ben doesn't need to be absolutely perfect. I'd be more than happy with a 100+ passer rating. The top ten quarterbacks in the league averaged that last season. Ben's gotten there twice in his last 14 games.

Ben just beat a #4 defense in their house, so he should be able to get the job done at home against two teams who are a combined 3-13. I complimented his improving YPA, others have mentioned his good arm strength -- I guess those are "crickets," and don't count.

God forbid I agreed with Coach on something he said about Ben, and I pointed out a mistake in someone's argument with him. That's heresy around here. Or bitching. Or getting your panties in a wad. Or whatever.

Hey, at least I did say I had hope for this season. :) The whole team is improving and I'm sorry for my bitching. That being said, and being a newbie, I'll not say anything to the contrary anymore.

feel free to agree with coach all you want....if you like being wrong that is your business
